“Elina has been great so far with all of our visits. She has been very accommodating with timing and even helped out for an extra night when I was unable to come pick up my pets. Elina cares well for the animals and is very reliable and quick to respond!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Radwa O. and her wonderful family! She boarded my pup Stormi for 6 days, and from the moment I dropped her off, I had zero worries. Radwa went above and beyond to make sure Stormi felt loved, included, and completely at home. The updates she sent were thoughtful and showed just how much Stormi was being cared for like one of their own. A huge thank you to her sweet pups Diesel and Lyla for putting up with my little fireball. Stormi can be a lot, but they welcomed her with such patience and playfulness. And to her boys, thank you for letting Stormi crash your sleepover! It meant the world to know she was surrounded by such kindness and fun. Radwa and her family are truly lovely people and amazing sitters. Stormi came home happy, healthy, and clearly spoiled with love. I would absolutely trust them again in a heartbeat! — Chanell G.”

About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. I can schedule my time around the care of your pet. I care for pets in my home by keeping an eye on them. Taking them out into the fenced yard and walking them twice a day. If they like to play fetch or tug I’ll do that with them too. I keep them fed, watered, exercised and rested.

“Kathy is really fantastic. Jack is a bit overwhelming with his anxious barking at first but Kathy was calm and accepting. She sent pictures of him during the 5 days we were away with updates on his well being. We truly felt he was in good hands and knew from the pics he was sleeping well, be in on the couch, on Kathy's bed, or on her furry pillow on the floor! I would definitely recommend Kathy to anyone with a quirky dog that is demanding and loves to be treated like a baby.”

“Would highly recommend Yvette as a dog sitter! I left my 11 year old dog Ziggy with her for a week while I was on vacation and I could tell from the daily pictures and videos that she sent me how much Ziggy felt like he was at home. Normally when I get back from a trip Ziggy is overly excited to see me but he was calm and happy when I picked him up which I think speaks to how much he was cared for and how at ease he felt all week. We will definitely be returning clients, thank you Yvette!!!”

“Meghan was perfect for watching our cat for an extended stay! She gave us updates with pictures and videos. We felt she was safe and happy with Meghan. We will absolutely reach out again when we need a babysitter!”

“Alice and her family were awesome with our beagle, Buster! He had a great time and clearly enjoyed spending the long weekend. We will definitely reach out again in the future when we need a rover for Buster!”

“Jacqueline, her husband and kids are such a wonderful family. They took excelence care of Loki. My fur baby is a very picky eater and Jacqueline not only went above and beyond to ensure that he would eat but always making sure he was confortable. Will definitely book again.”

“We had a wonderful experience! Cocoa was so well cared for, and it was clear he felt happy, comfortable, and loved. Their whole family, including the kids, was involved in caring for him, which made for such a warm and welcoming environment. We really appreciated the updates and the attention they gave him. We’d absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them!”

“Jaime was absolutely amazing with my dogs! They loved her so much. This was my first time leaving my dogs, and I was very nervous. Jaime made me feel comfortable, she sent me pics throughout my trip and kept me informed on what they were up too. I will definitely be using Jaime again and I highly recommend her!!!”

“Courtney & Sherwood Were great with my dog Eniko. I am very pleased with their service and attention while we were away from home. They offer a safe, comfortable environment for Eniko. He was given exercise, play time, socialization and care. We appreciate the daily updates with pictures of my dog on his activities. We will definitely use them again in the future.”

“Our 2 year old brittany BUDDY had a wonderful time at Nikki's. We were concerned about leaving him for 3 weeks but Nikki's place is the best getaway your fur baby can get. Buddy made a wonderful group of friends and we received loads of photographs and videos everyday. Will definitely come back.”

“Yanina was great! She kept us informed and updated throughout our puppy's stay with her, and was very flexible with our pick up/drop off schedule. Our puppy had a lot of fun and exercise while with Yanina and her dog, Stella. Would definitely be back for future boarding needs!”

Great experience boarding with Karolina. Miles received such a loving care, new friend in Milo to play with. Karolina was fast to respond and very flexible and accomodating with drop-off and pick-up. Received frequent updates and pictures. Fenced-in yard was a plus in this brutal cold weather. Very thankful to Karolina and her lovely family and definitely will consider in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
