“Kavya watched our pup Loki for 3 days while we attended a family wedding. Loki is always with us so he is not the best at staying with new people, but when we picked him up and from the pictures and videos she sent, Loki was very happy, which meant we were very happy. Highly, highly recommended Kavya to anyone looking for a responsive and caring sitter for their fuzzy kids.”

“Susana was very sweet with our dog. She cared for him as if he were her very own. She pampered him and showed so much love that I was worried he wouldn’t want to come home (lol). She provided daily pics and updates which meant a lot to us. I would definitely recommend. Thanks so much for taking such good care of our sweet boy!”

“Kevin is great with my dog Mocha. I feel at ease knowing she is in his care. Mocha always comes back as a happy pup, having been able to sniff around the yard and getting plenty of playtime and cuddles”

“Cream Cheese had a wonderful time with Shelley and his new doggo buddies. He settled in and got comfortable quickly. I was impressed with the level of care and communication throughout his stay.”

I currently have a 14-year old diabetic cockapoo (I'm comfortable administering insulin and other meds) and a 11-year old shih tzu puppy mill mother. My family and I have participated in the Pets with Wings program and brought homeless puppies back from St. Thomas. I also volunteer with Happy Homes and clean and socialize the cats at Petco Marlboro every Wednesday morning. I work a flexible job and set my own schedule I can be available when needed mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends when your pet needs care. I will arrive at your home on time and follow your detailed instructions for caring for your pets. I can clean cages, litter boxes, walk pets, feed/water, administer medications and brush if needed.
“Vince is amazing. He put my mind at peace with just 1 meet & greet visit. It’s like Magik returned from Hogwarts University 🪄dog edition. Can’t wait to use Vincent’s services again.”

“Lenny was very warm and welcoming. She took good care of Oreo and kept me posted with daily activities with messages, pictures and videos. Oreo was very happy. Will definitely keep Oreo with Lenny again!”

“Thank you and your entire family once again for taking such great care of my gangsters; all the love, walks and attention they are getting while staying with you is absolutely impressive. A separate thank you for the regular updates and the peace of mind thay bring.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care Radwa provided for my Frenchie Ramsay. She was attentive, loving, and kept me updated with quick responses. Ramsay loved her and her children right away. My dog came back happy and did not want to leave. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring sitter. 5 Star all around.”

“I would highly recommend Kayla and her family. She was affordable, friendly, reliable, Professional, and kind. Ace had a great time. Her daughters were so polite and met me at the car and helped me carry everything in. She sent photographs of a string, his stay. I am so glad that I found her”

“Dawn took care of my puppy for a week while I was out of state. She gave me twice daily updates with tons of pictures to show all of the fun and growth. He also received a lot of very well needed supervised socialization with other dogs that Dawn cares for, as well as her own dog. Snickers came home a much more obedient and well rounded dog. I truly appreciate all of the special care and love given to Snickers. I highly recommend Dawn!”

About: I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and treat every pet as part of our family. I know how hard it is to find trusted pet care because I’ve been there myself. I’m not a fan of large boarding places, as they can be stressful for dogs, which is why I also use Rover when I need care for my own pets. I currently have two small, friendly, and sweet dogs, a Cockapoo and a Cavapoo, and my two kids absolutely adore dogs. Your furry friend will get plenty of love, attention, and playtime from our whole family. Dogs are free to roam and play in our home, but crates or separate spaces are available if preferred. We host only one dog per family at a time to make sure every pet feels safe and comfortable. Our home has a fenced yard, and since I work from home, I can spend quality time walking, playing, and cuddling with your dog. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, small dogs, and providing special attention for senior pets. Your dog’s happiness, comfort, and safety are my top priorities, and I look forward to welcoming them into our family for a stay full of love and care. I work from home, which allows me to spend most of my day with the dogs. I take them on regular walks, play, and give plenty of attention throughout the day to ensure they feel loved, safe, and happy. I treat every dog like part of my family. They can roam freely, enjoy our fenced yard, or use a crate if preferred. I supervise, follow all instructions, and make sure each dog feels safe, happy, and loved.
About: Hi! I’m a full-time work-from-home dog lover who provides a safe, loving, and active environment for your pup while you’re away. Because I work from home, your dog will get plenty of attention, supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day — not be left alone for long hours. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor playtime, and my family loves spending time outside on walks, playing, and enjoying fresh air with our furry guests. We also have children who are gentle, caring, and experienced around dogs. Caring for animals has always been a big part of our lives, and I regularly dog sit for family and friends. Recently, we had to say goodbye to our longtime family dog due to age and health issues, which only deepened our appreciation for the love and companionship pets bring into a home. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I’ll treat your pet like part of the family — with lots of love, patience, attention, and belly rubs. Whether your dog loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm place to relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for during their stay. I currently work from home full time so your pet will not be left alone. I have the flexibility for walks during the day and a fully fenced yard for play time outside. I have a large fenced yard that pets always will be able to go in as well as a walking friendly neighborhood. We will follow your lead we do allow pets in bed and on furniture but will also crate if that is how your dog is comfortable.
About: I have had 2 dogs in my household growing up for my entire life. Always Labrador retrievers that I frequently walk when I am home. I also have 3 cats at home. Safe to say I am a huge animal lover :). I also am a fitness guru, so I love long walks! I am available evenings after 5 PM for walks, or even mid day if it is in close proximity to where I live as I work from home 4 days a week. I am also available on weekends! My pets have an electric fence that I helped train them on! When I take care of others dogs, I make sure they are leashed, that I have a poop bag, and a bag of small treats for reward if they sit at corners!
“We left our super energetic 10 month old French bulldog Frankie with Ken for 3 days and 2 nights. He took great care of him and sent him home healthy and tired. We would definitely recommend him! He’s very nice and gives good updates. He seems to really loves dogs.”

Great experience boarding with Karolina. Miles received such a loving care, new friend in Milo to play with. Karolina was fast to respond and very flexible and accomodating with drop-off and pick-up. Received frequent updates and pictures. Fenced-in yard was a plus in this brutal cold weather. Very thankful to Karolina and her lovely family and definitely will consider in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
