“Elina has been great so far with all of our visits. She has been very accommodating with timing and even helped out for an extra night when I was unable to come pick up my pets. Elina cares well for the animals and is very reliable and quick to respond!”

“Lorrie is an exceptional pet sitter! We left our Maggie girl with her for just over 2 weeks and knew that we could be at ease the entire time. Maggie was well taken care of and now that she's back home, we can tell she misses Lorrie. We are so lucky and grateful for Lorrie!”

About: For years I have taken care of dogs big and small. I’ve been called on my neighbors, friends, and family to watch their animals while they are away. In the past I have come over for the routine feed and bathroom and kept company, boarded at my home, or stayed at their home if the dog is more comfortable in that environment I am currently a student, so you can often find me home studying. Studying can get boring pretty quickly, so I would love the company and your fur baby would be spoiled with love and attention I live in a single family home with a large fenced in yard and live within a short walking distance to a scenic walking path
“Yvette is caring, communicative, loving and reliable. I do not know what we would do without her. Elvis (our Cavapoo) loves her to bits and is always happy to board with her. Could not recommend her enough absolutely brilliant.”

“Maureen was an incredible dog sitter who treated our 2 dogs like family from the moment they met. Communication was excellent, with prompt updates and photos that gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. Maureen is reliable, caring, and truly passionate about animals, we highly recommend to anyone.”

“Jaime was absolutely amazing with my dogs! They loved her so much. This was my first time leaving my dogs, and I was very nervous. Jaime made me feel comfortable, she sent me pics throughout my trip and kept me informed on what they were up too. I will definitely be using Jaime again and I highly recommend her!!!”

“Christi and Pete helped us out last minute with a week long stay of our three month old puppy. I can’t recommend them enough! They were flexible and willing to work with puppy shenanigans. They sent pictures and texts throughout the week. They’ll be out first choice if we need a pet sitter soon!”

“Our Brooke stayed by Radwa while we were off on a family vacation for 7 days. Brooke was very well taken care of and a very happy girl when we got home. She loves Radwa, her family and her pups. It’s nice to be away and not have to worry about your beloved pup. We highly recommend Radwa.”

About: I provide structured, attentive dog care in a calm home environment where dogs feel safe, understood, and well-managed. Because I work from home, your dog will have consistent supervision throughout the day. I focus on reinforcing calm behavior and clear boundaries so dogs can settle quickly — especially when they’re in a new space away from their guardians. I grew up with a cocker spaniel my family rescued from an abusive home, which taught me early on the importance of patience and understanding a dog’s emotional state. As an adult, I cared for an active young pit bull for two years, which deepened my experience working with different temperaments and energy levels. I’m now a proud dog mom to a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Lucky, who is well-socialized, gentle, and respectful of other dogs’ space. He helps create a calm, balanced environment for visiting dogs. Our day typically starts between 7–8am with outdoor time in the backyard, followed by breakfast and a relaxed start to the day. Because I work from home, dogs are never left alone for long periods and can settle into a steady, predictable routine. I live in a quiet, low-traffic area in a ranch-style home with very few stairs — ideal for dogs of all ages, including seniors. My home includes a fully fenced half-acre backyard for safe outdoor time and fresh air.

“Sebastian is truly a dog whisperer. She took amazing care of my very skittish anxious dog. She is very loving and patient and gives each dog exactly what they need. She sent updates and pictures each day. I highly recommend her to take care of any dog. She has a deep understanding of dogs and how to care for them”

“Michelle and her family are awesome taking care of our beagle. Communication with her is fast and easy. We recommend her and would board our beagle with her again in the future!”

“Mohita is an amazing sitter and took amazing care of my pup Stella! She sent pictures throughout the entire trip and kept in contact with updates and answered any questions very quickly. Her family is very sweet and made me feel very comfortable leaving her there. Highly recommend 😊”

“Bill met our dog in advance and had good interactions and clear communication about the setup and procedures. He was also knowledgeable about dog care and easy to work with.”

“Megan and her husband were SO great with our fur-babies. I was so nervous leaving them behind with someone and I felt so reassured that they stayed with Megan. I got pictures and videos and could tell that Stella & Casanova really loved their little vacation. Thanks so much!!!!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marlboro
Jason is an amazing dog sitter. He is responsive, kind, professional, and attentive. He has excellent communication and is a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Jason for anyone looking for a dog sitter. Thank you Jason for taking such good care of Charlie over the weekend.

Great experience boarding with Karolina. Miles received such a loving care, new friend in Milo to play with. Karolina was fast to respond and very flexible and accomodating with drop-off and pick-up. Received frequent updates and pictures. Fenced-in yard was a plus in this brutal cold weather. Very thankful to Karolina and her lovely family and definitely will consider in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
