“I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Whitney but Michael was wonderful (as were their kids). Very quick to respond to all messages and kept me informed of how my pup was doing frequently. He was also very accommodating when our trip got extended by a day. Skylar seemed happy as a clam when we picked her up and told me she'd be happy staying with her new friends any time! We'll be back - highly recommended.”

About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. I can schedule my time around the care of your pet. I care for pets in my home by keeping an eye on them. Taking them out into the fenced yard and walking them twice a day. If they like to play fetch or tug I’ll do that with them too. I keep them fed, watered, exercised and rested.
“Our dog, Riley, was so well cared for by Josh. He met us at our car for drop off and pick up bc it's tricky to get to his apartment. While Riley was there we received pictures to keep us updated. It made our evening in Philly so much better knowing she was in good hands.”

“Second time leaving our 1 year old golden with them. Definitely trust Paul, very accommodating and alleviated our anxiety of leaving our dog for a few nights. Will definitely use again.”
“Monika was great & very responsive. I was hesitant about using rover for a long weekend but felt extremely comfortable with Monika and Finn! I constantly got updates and she was very flexible! I would def recommend her to friends and happy to have found a reliable sitter for my dog - ps Halligan already misses his buddy Finn!!”

“Eduardo took great care of my big personality dachshund! I needed last minute care and they were so quick and responsive. They sent photos during the stay and my pup had a great time! Will definitely use them in the future!”

“Here’s a polished version of your Rover feedback: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lineth was amazing with my pet! She’s very caring and made sure my pet felt comfortable and happy throughout the stay. I really appreciate how accommodating she was with my early drop-off and pickup times. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and caring.”

“Wonderful sitter for my two sometimes-rambunctious dogs!!! William took great care of them while I was gone for nearly a week. He sent regular updates and loved my pups like his own! Will definitely be a returning customer! Highly recommend!”

“As always, my pup Brooke is well taken care of while with Radwa. She gets lots of attention from the entire household especially her furry friends there. I never worry when she is there. It’s such a nice feeling to know your pup is good. I highly recommend Radwa.”

“Katherine is an exceptional dog sitter. She is kind, attentive, and loved our pet like her own. She has full cooperation from her family and answers requests quickly. We now have rebooked her and do so without hesitation.”

“We left our two pups with Bob and they couldn’t have been in better hands. We were anxious to board them since they’ve never been away from us, but Bob put as at ease with text and picture updates on how they were getting along. We absolutely plan to use Bob again and would gladly recommend him to anyone that wants worry free pet boarding!”

“Everything went beautifully, leaving my dog, MacKenzie, with Brandon! The reason why I know that is because he came back home with me with no show of anxiety. MacKenzie is a high-maintenance dog with all of the medications he needs to take. Thank you, Brandon, for taking my big concerns away from me during his stay with you!”

This was our first time leaving Teddy for an extended stay with anyone outside our home and from start to finish we felt reassured and confident that our dog was in the best hands! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
