“Chas was absolutely amazing! She responds quickly and sends lots of pictures. She has the perfect backyard for the pups to play in and she cared for my boys as if they were her own. Highly recommend booking her!”

“We’re lucky to have our dog stay with Brandon! Brandon is very caring ! He sends us daily updates and pics of my dog. And our dog got along well with Malo too. We really appreciate that Brandon took good care of our dog. Highly recommended! We definitely will rebook !”

“Albie had a great stay with Anwar! He looked happy and content in the photos Anwar sent while we were away, and he even came home with noticeably improved mealtime manners. We would definitely send Albie back to the “farm” again!”

“I adopted my dog Kira this year who has a rare esophagus disorder. She has numerous challenges with this condition and I knew I would never find a boarding facility that could properly and safely care for her if I traveled. I became depressed, rarely leaving or having an afternoon out without rushing home to care for her. When I discovered Lindsay on Rover.com and learned that she was a vet tech, I finally had some hope that I found a dogsitter that could care for my special needs girl. Lindsay watched Kira on an overnight stay and I'm thrilled and so grateful for the wonderful care she received! I knew upon meeting Lindsay, that Kira would be in safe hands. She sent updates and photos throughout the day...Kira was so well taken care of and enjoyed her stay. I'm so thankful to you Lindsay...you've made a world of difference for Kira and I. 💜🩷”

“Pam is the best - elvis is happy every single time he’ goes to her house to board ….she’s very very good at communication and looking after his needs. We always go back to her.”

“Kathleen took great care of our 11 year old dog Luke! She provided us with updates and pictures daily. We felt very comfortable while away and will definitely us her for future needs.”

“Harley and Scout enjoyed their first stay with Tom! He took terrific pictures of them and they appeared relaxed sunbathing on the porch and happy in his home. We will definitely rebook again with Tom.”

“Dawn was amazing it with our pup! She walked her, had a fenced yard, a puppy friend, and obviously a true pet lover. She also provided regular updates and was receptive to her needs. Highly recommend and will book again. Thanks, Dawn!!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot say enough wonderful things about Thana and Subangi. They stepped in during a true emergency involving my elderly mother, and their kindness and flexibility meant more to me than I can express. They picked up Gigi right away and kept her for as long as we needed, completely removing one major worry from an already stressful situation. From the very beginning, they were in constant contact — sending thoughtful updates, pictures, and videos that reassured me Gigi was safe, comfortable, and happy. What stood out most was how genuinely they welcomed her into their home as if she were their own dog. You could see in every photo how relaxed and loved she felt. That level of warmth and care is rare. If you are looking for responsible, compassionate, and communicative dog sitters, Thana and Subangi are truly exceptional. I would trust them again in a heartbeat. 💛🐾”

“Jaimie, is amazing with her warmth, care and open communication. She provides constant updates and responds well. We will absolutely will be using her services again.”

“Davina and her family were so good to Arnie I was afraid he may not come home! Very proactive and responsive communication and pictures so you know your fur baby is happy! She even made homemade doggy treats and personalized each dog’s initial! Beyond exemplary!”

“Nams has a calmed demeanor that instantly connects with pets. Snowy immediately knew she was in a safe and friendly environment. Very professional. I would definitely recommend her.”

“I have a 12 yr cockapoo who requires daily medication. Noria has been our overnight sitter since April 2024. She only takes one dog in addition to her own sweet Milo. Noria is incredibly kind, smart, professional, loves dogs and has a gentle/loving way in interacting with my Kobe. She has been truly a blessing to find! My family and I are assured that when we leave Kobe for an overnight with Noria that he is being cared for as if he is part of her family. Kobe can be an anxious dog and slow to warm up to people. She has a patient and playful disposition. From the first time he met her he was happy, calm and it was evident that he felt secure in her care. The medication and feeding instructions have always been followed and understood. We appreciate the photos she sends and the updates as to how he is doing. Noria is a genuine individual who has been a complete joy for our family to work with. We are so happy that she has been caring for Kobe. When we go away we know he looks forward to his time with Noria and Milo!”

We just left Rocket at Gerry’s for 8 days while we went on our family vacation to St. Maarten. Rocket was so comfortable with Gerry while we were gone. It’s like his home away from home, and Gerry treats him as if he’s her own dog. Can’t thank her enough. Highly highly recommended!

We are so blessed to have found Brandon to watch our fur baby Whiskey. Brandon suggested to bring Whiskey over the night before so they can both get acquainted with each other. It was off to a shaky start because Whiskey was stressed about being in a new environment but Brandon was super patient during this time which made a Hugh difference in Whiskey feeling comfortable. Brandon was in touch with me daily either with pictures or messages which ease my worries. I highly recommend Brandon.
We left our Husky Bella with Anne for 12 days and we don’t have any complaints or problems! We love the way she care for our dog! Bella had a great time with her lovely Husky, I recommend 100% her care service! She was always sending me pictures and keeping me updated about Bella! Bella had so much fun, she played a lot! I would definitely rebook with her next time !

Andrea was amazing for our first boarding experience for a pup. She was honest and welcoming and I felt at complete ease with the care of our puppy. He was well cared for and happy the entire time. She was easy to access for any questions and was a pleasure to work with. Her home was well set up and safe for little chewers and explorers and her 2 dogs were gentle and friendly. Great experience

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
