“Samantha was great. My dog is pretty anxious, but Samantha made her feel comfortable, and my dog seemed perfectly happy when I picked her up. I would be happy to book with Samantha again.”

“Tanvi and her family are so loving and caring towards Chestnut. We love seeing the videos and photos she sends. He has a great time with their Shih-Tzu Happy. Thank you!”

“Kiana is phenomenal!! My family was having trouble finding someone to watch our big dog over the Christmas holiday, and Kiana was a lifesaver. Daisy had the most wonderful time staying with her, and I really appreciated the lovely updates and cute photographs that she was able to send throughout the week-long stay. Thank you Kiana!”

“Dhara and her family were friendly and caring hosts for our little man Mr. Darcy. That includes their pooch “Coco” who was playful and not territorial with a visiting doggie scampering around the house. Dhara sent plenty of updates and photos during Mr. Darcy’s visit as of an upcoming longer stay. The stay could not have gone better, and we’re very confident and comfortable leaving Mr. Darcy in the caring hands Dhara and her family going forward. Its clear that they’re “dog people” who care.”

About: Hi! My name is Piyawadee, you can call me Annie, and I’m a lifelong dog lover with a genuine passion for caring for animals. I’ve had dogs my entire life, and currently I have a beagle of my own who brings so much joy to my daily routine. Spending time with dogs has always been something special to me—they’re not just pets, they’re incredible companions. I truly believe dogs have a unique way of providing comfort and emotional support, and they’ve always helped lift my spirits, no matter what kind of day I’m having. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I’m experienced in—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. In fact, I’ve always felt that if I ever changed careers, working with dogs would be my dream job. Being around them brings me happiness, reduces stress, and gives me a sense of fulfillment that’s hard to find elsewhere. That’s exactly why I decided to become a dog sitter. I’m excited to spend my free time, weekends, and days off helping others by taking care of their beloved pets. I understand how important it is to know your dog is in safe, caring hands, and I will treat your dog with the same love and attention I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I'm currently working from home 2 days a week and off the whole weekend. I can provide boarding, walking, and drop-in services from Friday to Sunday. I live in the house with the big backyard in a great neighborhood. I can walk the dog around the neighborhood and play with your dog in the backyard. Our yard is unfenced, but we are planning to build the fence in this summer.
“Krew felt right at home with Sonya and her family and was able to run around her yard for exercise and play with her dog. She sent lots of pictures while he was in her care. I would definitely use her again”

“Angela took care of my two dogs, Kylo and Loki. It is my first time using this app and the services. She went above my expectations. She sends me pictures and updates about them. She is also very responsive and flexible. Thank you.”

“Joanna did a great job keeping Posto for a day. She kept us informed periodically with photos so we had nothing to worry. She followed all his routine and I will recommend her to my friends and family and also will rebook when necessary. Thank you Joanna.”

About: We are already home to a dog named Huckleberry, a rescue mutt. For us he is not just a pet, but a part of the family. We always enjoy meeting furry friends and we love spending time with them whether playing tug or going on a hike. We treat them with the utmost care and all as a part of the family! I currently work from home, therefore I am always able to keep an eye on the pups I'm taking care of. I am available most days of the week. We have a dog named Huckleberry, and he is very friendly and able to get along with any dog and can play with any visitors that come his way. We take him on walks twice a day, and we play with him a lot indoors in general.
About: I am a father of 2 & 4-legged kids and the go-to dogsitter for friends and family. I am reliable and my schedule is flexible. I am the primary caregiver of my son when he's not in school. The rest of my schedule is flexible around my honey do lists. Having been a dog owner for more than 10 years, I am skilled in head scritches and belly rubs, and am not scared of slobbery kisses or getting dog hair on my clothes.

“Pam is the best - elvis is happy every single time he’ goes to her house to board ….she’s very very good at communication and looking after his needs. We always go back to her.”

“I had a great experience with Ivelisse! She took excellent care of my dog and made me feel at ease while I was away. She was very responsive to communication and always quick to reply to any questions or check-ins. I especially appreciated the regular updates, including texts and pictures.”

“We can’t thank Trupti and Anmol enough for taking such wonderful care of Bruno! From the moment we dropped him off, we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such loving and capable hands. The regular updates, pictures, and videos reassured us that Bruno was not only well taken care of but also having an absolute blast! It was heartwarming to see him happily mingling with other dogs, playing, and enjoying his time to the fullest. He especially loved finding tennis balls in the snow—it was such a joy to see him so engaged and excited! And the bond he built with Anmol was truly special—seeing him rest his head in Anmol’s lap showed just how comfortable and happy he was. The attention to detail, the care, and the affection they showed Bruno truly made a difference. We were able to fully relax, knowing he was in a safe, happy, and nurturing environment. Trupti and Anmol go above and beyond in creating a home away from home for pets, and we are incredibly grateful. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy place for their furry friends. Bruno will definitely be excited for his next stay!”

“Davina and her family were so good to Arnie I was afraid he may not come home! Very proactive and responsive communication and pictures so you know your fur baby is happy! She even made homemade doggy treats and personalized each dog’s initial! Beyond exemplary!”

“Freya had such a great time with Kim! The photo updates were great, and I could tell that Freya LOVED having access to a fenced-in backyard. She can't wait to come visit again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hightstown
We are so blessed to have found Brandon to watch our fur baby Whiskey. Brandon suggested to bring Whiskey over the night before so they can both get acquainted with each other. It was off to a shaky start because Whiskey was stressed about being in a new environment but Brandon was super patient during this time which made a Hugh difference in Whiskey feeling comfortable. Brandon was in touch with me daily either with pictures or messages which ease my worries. I highly recommend Brandon.
We left our Husky Bella with Anne for 12 days and we don’t have any complaints or problems! We love the way she care for our dog! Bella had a great time with her lovely Husky, I recommend 100% her care service! She was always sending me pictures and keeping me updated about Bella! Bella had so much fun, she played a lot! I would definitely rebook with her next time !

Andrea was amazing for our first boarding experience for a pup. She was honest and welcoming and I felt at complete ease with the care of our puppy. He was well cared for and happy the entire time. She was easy to access for any questions and was a pleasure to work with. Her home was well set up and safe for little chewers and explorers and her 2 dogs were gentle and friendly. Great experience

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
