“Dhara and her family were friendly and caring hosts for our little man Mr. Darcy. That includes their pooch “Coco” who was playful and not territorial with a visiting doggie scampering around the house. Dhara sent plenty of updates and photos during Mr. Darcy’s visit as of an upcoming longer stay. The stay could not have gone better, and we’re very confident and comfortable leaving Mr. Darcy in the caring hands Dhara and her family going forward. Its clear that they’re “dog people” who care.”

“Chestnut had a great time with Tanvi and her family. He’s always so well cared for and loved when he stays with them. She always sends great photos and videos throughout the day every day of his stay. Thank you again so much!”

“Rachel took great care of our 15 year old terrier mix Cookie. She sent photos and messages to us everyday we were away. She followed all our directions and I felt relaxed and at ease knowing Cookie was happy. How do I know? Rachel reported that Cookie didn’t want her to stop rubbing her belly. Cookie does not let most people rub her belly!! That said it all!”

“Mary and John are knowledgeable about animals. They sent regular updates of photos and videos throughout the stay. It was such a joy knowing my dog was happy and well looked after.”

“Sarah took wonderful care of our dog Duncan! I cant say enough about how well Sarah and her family cared for our dog when we were away! She was terrific with communication before and during our booking for pet sitting. She sent us great pictures of Duncan while we were on vacation, making sure we knew he was being well cared for. I would definitely book with Sarah again without hesitation. Everything went smoothly with the entire booking process!”

“Joanna did a great job keeping Posto for a day. She kept us informed periodically with photos so we had nothing to worry. She followed all his routine and I will recommend her to my friends and family and also will rebook when necessary. Thank you Joanna.”

About: I am a father of 2 & 4-legged kids and the go-to dogsitter for friends and family. I am reliable and my schedule is flexible. I am the primary caregiver of my son when he's not in school. The rest of my schedule is flexible around my honey do lists. Having been a dog owner for more than 10 years, I am skilled in head scritches and belly rubs, and am not scared of slobbery kisses or getting dog hair on my clothes.

About: Hi! My name is Piyawadee, you can call me Annie, and I’m a lifelong dog lover with a genuine passion for caring for animals. I’ve had dogs my entire life, and currently I have a beagle of my own who brings so much joy to my daily routine. Spending time with dogs has always been something special to me—they’re not just pets, they’re incredible companions. I truly believe dogs have a unique way of providing comfort and emotional support, and they’ve always helped lift my spirits, no matter what kind of day I’m having. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I’m experienced in—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. In fact, I’ve always felt that if I ever changed careers, working with dogs would be my dream job. Being around them brings me happiness, reduces stress, and gives me a sense of fulfillment that’s hard to find elsewhere. That’s exactly why I decided to become a dog sitter. I’m excited to spend my free time, weekends, and days off helping others by taking care of their beloved pets. I understand how important it is to know your dog is in safe, caring hands, and I will treat your dog with the same love and attention I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I'm currently working from home 2 days a week and off the whole weekend. I can provide boarding, walking, and drop-in services from Friday to Sunday. I live in the house with the big backyard in a great neighborhood. I can walk the dog around the neighborhood and play with your dog in the backyard. Our yard is unfenced, but we are planning to build the fence in this summer.
“Kiana was great. Our dog Arlo had a great time, made new friends. We received constant updates and Kiana was always available if we had questions or concerns. She took good care of our puppy!”

“Maureen did a tremendous job of watching my dog. I received pictures every day and I could tell that he was extremely happy the whole time. I highly recommend Maureen to care for your dog!”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Thana & Subangi. We left our golden retriever, Mango, with them for almost 10 days, and from start to finish we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such loving and responsible hands. They took excellent care of Mango and kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which truly meant a lot to us while we were away. It was clear from the updates that Mango was happy, comfortable, and being treated like part of their family. Toward the end of his stay, Mango’s food ran out, and they were kind enough to provide their own dog food without hesitation — a small gesture that really shows how thoughtful and caring they are. We couldn’t be happier with the level of care, communication, and kindness they showed our dog. We would 100% trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, loving dog sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Mango!”

About: I grew up with dogs and love spending time with them! I’ve helped watch families and friends pets and love being able to spend quality time with them! I’ve helped with dogs as small as malteses and as big as goldendoodles! Ive also helped dogs with specific needs such as blind and older dogs! I work remote one day a week so I’m happy to watch dogs or take them out, I just need a heads up to pick the day I work from home. I also typically work 8-4:30 so I’m happy to take dogs out in the mornings before work or as soon as I get home! I’m also happy to do weekends. I have a fenced yard for any pet to wander around in and am happy to walk them around my neighborhood park! No other pets in the home!
“I highly recommend Jill. My 2 year old Black lab mix did really well in Jill's care. We did a meet and greet and then my pup hung out with her for the day prior to my trip. I felt very confident that Jackson would be in good hands with Jill because she cared very much about finding out how to best care for Jackson. She was very reliable and good with communication. Her back yard is awesome, especially for dogs like mine who don't have one.”

“Krew felt right at home with Sonya and her family and was able to run around her yard for exercise and play with her dog. She sent lots of pictures while he was in her care. I would definitely use her again”

“Karen was incredible with our dog! She sent photos and updates throughout the visit. She took our dog to the dog park daily and gave her tons of attention and love. Our dog was very happy! I cannot recommend her enough! We will definitely use her in the future!”

“Jolanta was wonderful with my puppy! My pup loved her the very first time we met for a meet n greet. Jolanta is warm, friendly and welcoming. She is gentle with dogs and treats him like her own baby! Highly recommend Jolanta to anyone looking for a loving and caring home away from home for their dogs!”

“Dottie had another fabulous stay with Jaimie. Jaimie took excellent and diligent care of her and she came home happy and tired after playing with Ollie. Can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you!”

“Kate was fantastic. Very professional offering a meet and greet ahead of time, multiple photo and video updates, and extremely responsive. Highly recommend for social dogs that love to play outside with others. Will definitely be booking again :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Windsor
We are so blessed to have found Brandon to watch our fur baby Whiskey. Brandon suggested to bring Whiskey over the night before so they can both get acquainted with each other. It was off to a shaky start because Whiskey was stressed about being in a new environment but Brandon was super patient during this time which made a Hugh difference in Whiskey feeling comfortable. Brandon was in touch with me daily either with pictures or messages which ease my worries. I highly recommend Brandon.
We left our Husky Bella with Anne for 12 days and we don’t have any complaints or problems! We love the way she care for our dog! Bella had a great time with her lovely Husky, I recommend 100% her care service! She was always sending me pictures and keeping me updated about Bella! Bella had so much fun, she played a lot! I would definitely rebook with her next time !

Andrea was amazing for our first boarding experience for a pup. She was honest and welcoming and I felt at complete ease with the care of our puppy. He was well cared for and happy the entire time. She was easy to access for any questions and was a pleasure to work with. Her home was well set up and safe for little chewers and explorers and her 2 dogs were gentle and friendly. Great experience

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
