About: I've been a dog owner and animal lover my entire life, both as a child and as an adult. Over the years, I've cared for several dogs of different breeds, each with their own unique personalities and needs. Spending time with dogs brings me so much joy, whether it's going for walks, playing, or simply providing companionship and care. Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I truly can't imagine a world without them. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. I also have fostered several litters of puppies, and administered medications with ease. I work out of the home but I am able to drop in to play and let dogs out everyday around lunch. Maximum 3 hours in crate at a time. I treat each dog like a family member. I will make sure to update you daily on how they are doing! Pictures are so important!

“Camila and Omar were great hosts and treated my dogs like family. My dogs were well taken care off. We had great updates in timely manner. They look happy and clean when I picked them up. I would definitely recommend their family to host dogs.”

“Karen was incredible with our dog! She sent photos and updates throughout the visit. She took our dog to the dog park daily and gave her tons of attention and love. Our dog was very happy! I cannot recommend her enough! We will definitely use her in the future!”

“We could’ve not been happier with Taffy staying with Megan! She is a loving and caring person, with such passion for any type of dog. Sweet and patient specially important for a picky eater dog like Taffy. The communication was extraordinary and we received plenty of updates from her. We felt so grateful that Taffy was safe and cozy all the time in an idyllic place with extraordinary care.”

“Absolutely great experience! My pet was very well taken care of and was happy at Samhitha's home for over a week. She was very professional and on top of communication. It was a pleasure to see daily updates on how he was enjoying the boarding time. I was absolutely worry free and I can't thank you enough! I highly recommend Samhitha if you are looking for an experienced and caring sitter for your pet.”

“This was our first time using a pet sitter for Shibu (a Shih-Tsu) as we took our 3 week vacation. We couldn't be happier with how well Kimberly took care of her. Kim sent us regular pics and Shibu looked always active and happy, so we knew she was being well cared for. she has a fenced in backyard which is a major plus. Would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter.”

“This is the first time using Pam and I was happy with the experience. This was the first time leaving my 4 month old pup since I got her and I felt at ease. Pam was great with communication and sent me updates including pictures and videos. Bella looked happy in all the videos with her tail constantly wagging. I’ll definitely be using Pam again.”

“Jaimie, is amazing with her warmth, care and open communication. She provides constant updates and responds well. We will absolutely will be using her services again.”

“Kristen provided loving care for my 15 yr old Beagle, while also following instructions with his food plan and meds. Additionally, she provided lots of stimulating activities for this little sniffer, including her own little chihuahua, Cashew, and other little boarding doggies. (My little guy gets more stimulation in her apartment than he gets from me!) While Kristen is a great boarder, for my occasional trips away, I am now considering her as a day care provider too. And she is very accommodating and understanding of trip delays, as well. Will be sure to book with Kristen again soon. (Her own little baby boy loves dogs too).”
“I have a 12 yr cockapoo who requires daily medication. Noria has been our overnight sitter since April 2024. She only takes one dog in addition to her own sweet Milo. Noria is incredibly kind, smart, professional, loves dogs and has a gentle/loving way in interacting with my Kobe. She has been truly a blessing to find! My family and I are assured that when we leave Kobe for an overnight with Noria that he is being cared for as if he is part of her family. Kobe can be an anxious dog and slow to warm up to people. She has a patient and playful disposition. From the first time he met her he was happy, calm and it was evident that he felt secure in her care. The medication and feeding instructions have always been followed and understood. We appreciate the photos she sends and the updates as to how he is doing. Noria is a genuine individual who has been a complete joy for our family to work with. We are so happy that she has been caring for Kobe. When we go away we know he looks forward to his time with Noria and Milo!”

“Our 10-month-old Cavapoo had a fantastic 7-day stay with Kate and her family. We were a little nervous leaving our puppy for the first time, but Kate made us feel completely at ease. She sent us daily photo/videos with updates of him playing in her beautiful yard and cuddling on the couch. She had several other small dogs during this time so it was a great opportunity for ours to socialize. It was clear he was having the time of his life! Kate is caring and her home is the great environment for a dog. We'll definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“Angela has been great in taking care of my Bichon. She has been kind and nice to make my dog very comfortable and my dog come home very happy been able to playing with other small dog. She gives my dog the extra diet requests that makes my dog feel comfortable as if at home. She has my trust in taking care of my Doodle.”

“Charlie loves going to Chelsea. Chelsea gives a lot of updates. I can tell Charlie is loved when he goes there. We trust Chelsea and will continue to have her watch Charlie always! She is the best dog sitter out there!”
“We have used Amy several times, she replies quickly and has been very pleasant and flexible to work with when dates had to be changed. She took great care of Shadow and sent photos. Shadow is happy to go back to Amy and have fun playing at with her pups.”

About: I am a father of 2 & 4-legged kids and the go-to dogsitter for friends and family. I am reliable and my schedule is flexible. I am the primary caregiver of my son when he's not in school. The rest of my schedule is flexible around my honey do lists. Having been a dog owner for more than 10 years, I am skilled in head scritches and belly rubs, and am not scared of slobbery kisses or getting dog hair on my clothes.
“Was worried since this was a first time visiting this house with Milo and Maui but they looked so comfortable! I was so happy to see my cats and Lenny was so sweet and caring. Both my cats were able to have seperate rooms which was also so great.”

“Brandon took great care of my dog! Zuko loves staying over Brandon’s place and getting to play with him and Milo. He communicates frequently and sends daily pictures and updates. Zuko is already looking forward to his next sleepover!”

Mitzy has been a repeat customer with Mary for a while now. We had an especially long trip out of the country and Mary had to deal with Mitzy's health issues that came up during it. She handled it with so much care and it really gave us peace of mind while we were away. Can't recommend Mary highly enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
