“I can't say enough good things about Dipali & Sunny! They took such wonderful care of my Momo and made the entire process stress-free. From the moment I dropped Momo off, I could tell they genuinely cared about my dog’s happiness and well-being. Momo came home happy, healthy, and even a little spoiled! Dipali kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and warm personality made all the difference. “Namrata is great in taking care of my Bichon. She sent me picture every day and updates me on my dog's status. My dog usually does not eat at stranger's place, but at her house, she ate everything and slept well. My dog was able to cuddle with them and play with them everyday. I feel that my dog had a vacation while I was one vacation. Namrata is the person to go to for dog sit while I am away. Thanks for the great service.”

“I can't say enough good things about Rachel! Leaving my fur baby, Lucy, was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but Rachel made it so much easier. She sent daily updates and pictures, so I could see Lucy’s sweet face and know she was in good hands. Rachel was incredibly attentive and caring, and it's clear she loves animals just as much as I do. When I picked Lucy up, she was beaming with joy and looked like she'd been well taken care of. I was so impressed with how Rachel had followed her routine and given her all the snuggles and love she needed. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Rachel, for making my trip so much less stressful and for being an amazing caregiver to my little girl!”

About: I’ve been taking care of my special-needs pup, Dottie, for 8 years. She’s on a strict diet and takes meds too, so I’m good with following precise instructions. I have a loving and serene home where Dottie and I can welcome your pup. I work from home on Fridays, so I am available for boarding for long weekends. We could coordinate a Thursday evening drop-off if need be. On the weekends, I go to a pilates class and run errands, but am otherwise around as company for the dogs. My yard is only partially fenced, so I will be taking the dogs on leashed walks. Dottie sleeps in bed with me, so it’s okay if your pup needs to as well. If your dog is crate-trained, that is okay too.
“Dhara and her family were friendly and caring hosts for our little man Mr. Darcy. That includes their pooch “Coco” who was playful and not territorial with a visiting doggie scampering around the house. Dhara sent plenty of updates and photos during Mr. Darcy’s visit as of an upcoming longer stay. The stay could not have gone better, and we’re very confident and comfortable leaving Mr. Darcy in the caring hands Dhara and her family going forward. Its clear that they’re “dog people” who care.”

“Davina and her family were so good to Arnie I was afraid he may not come home! Very proactive and responsive communication and pictures so you know your fur baby is happy! She even made homemade doggy treats and personalized each dog’s initial! Beyond exemplary!”

“Savi was absolutely amazing with my pups! Our pups were welcomed into a loving home, where I received constant communication about how they were doing complete with videos and pictures. This is my second time utilizing Savi's services, and we will not hesitate to book her again. Thank you to you and your family, Savi for a job well done. We hope to see you soon!”

“Jennifer did such a great job! Those nine days are not easy for Huckleberry, and she did wonderful at making sure Huckleberry was comfortable, and reassuring us at the same time by sending us picture and video updates on him. I highly recommend Darin and McKenna as pet sitter! Our two dogs just spent a week at their place, and it truly felt like they were on their own luxury vacation. From the start, Darin and McKenna were incredibly attentive to every detail and specific need our pups had. They didn’t just "watch" our dogs; they genuinely befriended them and invested a lot of personalized time and affection into making them feel at home. What impressed us most was their dedication during a particularly tough week of heavy snow. Despite the weather challenges, they remained completely unfazed and stayed "up to the task," ensuring our dogs were safe, pampered, and happy throughout the storms. If you are looking for sitters who are responsible, caring, and go the extra mile, Darin and McKenna are the best choice. Our dogs can’t wait to go back!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
