Hi, I'm Ami! I grew up on a ranch in Nebraska and Colorado and caring for animals is a way of life for my family and me. We will love on your pet while you are away. I've been a teacher in public and independent schools in Colorado and Pennsylvania. I've also instructed snowboarding, horseback riding and swimming lessons. I stayed home with our kids when they were younger. Our family just moved to Princeton where James and I are beginning studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. We have two sons in college and a daughter in high school. We are able to care for your pets in your home through drop-in visits and walks as well staying with us or house sitting as class and study schedules allow. We have two dogs. Dezmond is a 5 year old border collie golden doodle mix who we have had since he was a puppy. Alec, now 2, is a minature poodle who we have had since he was a puppy as well. When not in class you will often find us walking or studying with our pups, and yours is welcome to join us. We are not home constantly all day through the week but do have availability to get back home midday to get our dogs out. Our 1st floor apartment home backs up to a trail which is lovely.

This was my first time boarding my dog Lulu with Ami and James. Ami and James are great communicators and kept me posted on Lulu's walks, sleep, eating habits and provided lots of pictures. A few days into her stay, Lulu started with bloody stools/diarrhea. They were quick to let me know and ask what I thought would help. After a day or two, her condition did not improve, and we made arrangements for her to see her vet. Ami took her over the next morning and kept me posted on the recommendations which were low fat food and probiotics that could be purchased at the vet clinic. Ami and James followed all of the doctor's instructions to the letter, and kept me posted on Lulu's progress which was pretty quick. I could not ask for better care than what was provided by Ami and James and was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation knowing that Lulu was in good hands.
Ami and James are the best! It gives us such peace of mind to know that our sweet Lola is in such good hands when we are unable to take her with us during travel, etc. I love all of the daily pics and updates they provide throughout her stay. Would highly recommend to anyone needed kind, nurturing care of their furry loved ones.
Ami and James took such good care of our dog. Gabby came home so happy. They sent us daily updates about Gabby which our family loved. They made being away less stressful when knowing Gabby is being taken such great care of.
Ami and James are amazing. They took wonderful care of our elderly cat who requires extra care. They went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable and well taken care of while we were away.

We will go out for breaks throughout the day and I'm often available for last minute drop-in visits when your day gets longer than expected.
