Hi, I'm Ami! I grew up on a ranch in Nebraska and Colorado and caring for animals is a way of life for my family and me. We will love on your pet while you are away. I've been a teacher in public and independent schools in Colorado and Pennsylvania. I've also instructed snowboarding, horseback riding and swimming lessons. I stayed home with our kids when they were younger. Now I care for people's pets! My husband, James, works remotely and helps out too. We are often taking our own dogs, Dezmond and Alec on walks. Your dog will get love and attention at our family home. We are able to care for your pet in your home as well, through drop-in visits and walks. James and I live with our two sons and daughter (all teenagers). Our border collie/goldendoodle mix, Dezmond, and Alec, our miniature poodle, enjoy getting outside and your dog will too. All three of our kids love and care for animals also. We live in an end unit townhome and though we do not have a fenced yard we do back up to woods and have plenty of tree lines sidewalks and grass right outside. Often some or all of us are at home. When we all are away for a few hours we ask that your dog be house trained and/or that you bring a crate home for your dog. Dogs must be happy to be around our friends and family as well as other dog friends. Our townhome does have steps up to the main level. They are carpeted which make it easier for some dogs to navigate if your dog has a hard time on stairs. One of our regulars is small enough for us to carry her up and down the stairs which works too!

Schedule
We have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet. We will go out for a lot of breaks throughout the day when your pet stays with us and I'm often available for last minute boarding and drop-in visits when your day gets longer than expected.
