I raised my beloved Border Collie, Zoey (see Gallery), from puppyhood through adulthood. She has since crossed the 🌈 bridge, but during her life I taught her fun commands like “take a bow” and “play dead.” My goal is to provide dogs of all ages with a fun, safe, clean, and secure environment that is free from hazards—while giving their owners complete peace of mind. ⸻ Today, I own a longhaired male Dachshund named Moose. He loves other dogs, is up to date on his core vaccines, and is currently unneutered. Because of him, I have firsthand experience with the unique care that long-bodied breeds require, including proper handling techniques and back protection. I’ve also cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I am American Red Cross Certified in Dog First Aid 🐾 and have experience caring for medical dogs who require a little extra attention. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and energy levels, whether they want to run around and play or just hang out and relax. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always try to make visits fun, calm, and stress-free for them. I know how important it is to trust the person taking care of your pets, so I always try to be reliable, communicative, and make sure both you and your pets feel comfortable. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I currently do dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care throughout the week, and I’ve also cared for my own pets my whole life. I’m used to planning my schedule around pets and making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. I genuinely enjoy it, and spending time with animals fits naturally into my routine. I currently provide care in my clients’ homes and try to keep pets as comfortable and relaxed as possible by following their normal routine. I always follow the instructions owners provide, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, playtime, and any specific care instructions or preferences their pets have. I know every pet is different, so I try to pay attention to their personality and comfort level while making sure they feel safe, cared for, and comfortable while their owners are away.

About: I have been caring for dogs personally and professionally for almost 30 years. I have lots of experience with puppies and senior dogs, dogs with all levels of training and I am comfortable administering medication. My background is in Animal Behavior. I am a patient animal lover who takes time to understand an individual dog's needs based upon its environment and behavior. During their stay, your dog will be treated as a member of the family in my home, which includes 2 adults and 3 teenaged children and 1 dog-loving dog. My yard is fully fenced, and dogs are welcome on some furniture. I have a lovely quiet neighborhood as well as beautiful, wooded trails for leashed walks. I am home full time, so I am available to care for your dog throughout the entire day. Frequent outdoor breaks, playtime and walks are no problem. Your dog will feel like a part of the family in my home. Their individual needs will be discussed prior to their stay and appropriate attention and care will be provided. I am comfortable giving medications and have worked in animal medical environments.
