“We had a wonderful experience with Catherine! She was reliable, accommodating, and kept me posted with great communication throughout. “Another great experience with Omer. He knows our boy well and always takes such great care of him. He provides plenty of photos and updates. He knows his personality and what he enjoys. So thankful!”

“Jodi is the best sitter I have used on Rover. She took great care of my little princess. We ran into a little issue but Jodi did what she needed to get in and take care of my little pup. Sammie loved her. I never saw her this happy with a sitter before. 💕”

“Chantil did a wonderful job caring for my cat while I was away. She was reliable, communicative, and made me feel comfortable knowing my cat was in good hands. About: I’ve always enjoyed taking care of pets from family & friends since a young age. They ask me to check in with feeding and cleaning after them, especially that I have a big heart for cats and dogs. Caring after young and senior pets has been a big part of my life when I became a Veterinary assistant and which is why I aspire to become a Veterinarian one day. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to care after your pet! I’m available for boarding services and can take out your pets a few times a day as needed. There’s plenty of time for playing and having their personal time as well. I have a fenced area and one friendly dog to keep your pet company. She is usually in her crate and is house trained, so no need to worry about her roaming around or bothering your pet. I can easily crate your pet if needed and there’s a large grass area to take long walks. The environment is calm and friendly.
About: I’ve had pets my whole life! Dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, etc! I love to have play time with my dogs and take them and my cats on walks!! I’m able to come visit your pets day, afternoon, evening, and night! Unfortunately I can’t board any since I have a lot! I have a lot of time during the days! I’m free weekdays and weekends! I can make sure if any mess is made by the animals I will clean it, or If you’d like a little pickup around the house, do not hesitate to ask! I’m good at cleaning and quite enjoy it too!
“Yasmine did a great job, was very proactive with communication and sent me updates of my cats while I was away which gave me great peace of mind. Definitely recommended!”

“Genesis was so great! She was very detailed and sent a lot of pictures. She kept us updated. We will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone in need.”

“Kelly accepted another short notice request, then extended it a day after my work schedule changed last minute. She is a natural with the dogs, and I was able to focus on my job while out of town knowing the pups were well attended to.”

“Abigail took great care of my cat. I am new to the area and when called for an unexpected work trip, I turned to Rover. I reached out to Abigail and Abigal and received a response within 30 minutes she was available and assisted with setting up the meet/greet. My cat was a stray and is very timid, Abilgail took such great care not to traumatize her and was even able to get close enough to capture a photo. The fact that my cat didn't run is a great compliment to Abigail's patience and caring. I highly recommend this team if you are in the Fort. Lauderdale area, they will be my first go to for the next trip.”

“Jazmin did an amazing job looking after our 2 cats. She was incredibly kind and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend her to other cat owners, and will book with her again.”

“Gheraldine did a good job with my cat. Feeding daily - changing the water, cleaning the litter box and giving my cat affection. She communicated if she would be late or early. I do recommend her.”

About: I’ve grown up having multiple dogs in the household where I participated in training with my mom. And I have dog/cat sat for 4 years, as well as taking the clients on walks and house sitting! I’m currently a student and teaching intern so I still have a flexible schedule with available hours to give the pups lots of attention and care! As I live on a college campus there are lots of dog friendly outdoor spaces. I do not have an animal personally so there will be no issues there.
About: I have an older cat who means the world to me, so I understand how important it is to find someone who is patient, attentive, and genuinely caring. Since I work from home, your cat will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of love, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I also make it a priority to send regular updates and photos because I know how reassuring they are. I work from home, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m around throughout the day for feedings, playtime, litter box care, and companionship, and I can adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s specific needs. I live in a clean, calm condo and prioritize safety at all times. I keep doors and windows secure, maintain a pet-friendly environment, and closely follow each pet’s routine and instructions.
About: I’ve cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, especially senior pups who need extra patience, gentleness, and love. Growing up, I had two senior dogs, a 17 year old Poodle and a 15 year old Shih Tzu, so I’m very familiar with caring for older dogs, understanding their routines, and recognizing when they need a little extra support or comfort. I currently have a one-year-old Shih Tzu who I’ve raised since he was a puppy, so I’m experienced with both young, energetic dogs and calmer, older companions. I truly treat every dog as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I work full-time but only three days a week, which gives me great flexibility for drop ins, walks, and house sitting. I’m reliable, attentive, and happy to follow your dog’s specific routine, whether that means quiet walks, playtime, medication schedules, or just extra cuddles. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority, and I would love the opportunity to care for your fur baby 💕 I work three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets while you’re busy or away. My home is calm and pet-friendly, and my dog Momo provides gentle companionship for dogs who enjoy being around other pets and friendly playtime together.
“Maria was wonderful with my senior cat Tommy and took such great care of him. I could tell by the photos she sent every visit that he was very comfortable around her. I loved the little writeups and pictures she sent each visit. Would highly recommend. Thanks Maria!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Plantation. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
