“Cassandra was amazing. I appreciated the meet and greet prior to booking. She kept me updated during my pups stay with texts and pictures. I can’t thank her enough!”

“My regular dog sitter was not available and I had to look for a replacement. I’m lucky I had this opportunity to find Christina, she took loving care for my boys while I was away and kept me posted throughout the day with photos and videos. When I arrived to pick the boys up they seemed very peaceful and not depressed or anxious, which was a great sign that they were comfortable with Christina and enjoyed their stray. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you so much Christina!”

“Teresa was great with our 16yr old Mocha for 9days. She really took care of our loved one. We had constant updates, videos and pictures. Although we missed him on our trip it made me feel better that he was taken cared of. Thanks again Teresa and family.”

“Valeria was such incredible sitter for my dog Romeo. From the moment I inquired about dates to the moment I picked him up, she was extremely responsive, animal loving and professional. She sent lots of picture updates and seeing our dog so happy made my husband and I very comfortable and stress free. Romeo looked so happy and clean when I picked him up and it was so comforting to see him like that. He made friends with her children who made his stay so much more fun… I am happy to have found a perfect sitter for him finally…”

Paola and her daughter are everything that I could ask for in a sitter for my Sadie. Paola sends pictures and updates and took great care of Sadie. Sadie has anxiety and I can tell how Sadie is adjusting to a sitter based on her body language, her tail, etc. and Sadie was all smiles with Paola and her daughter. They are very sweet and kind. They live off of a golf course so there is plenty of room to walk. Paola asks detailed questions about Sadie's care so I know Sadie is in good hands. I will definitely request Paola to watch Sadie again in the future, I'm so glad that I found her!

Thank you, Mafalda, for taking such wonderful care of my furry baby! The daily photos you sent gave me so much peace of mind and made me feel that he was in great hands. You stayed in constant contact with me and always responded promptly whenever I had a question or wanted an update. It was clear from the very beginning that you truly love caring for animals, and that made all the difference. I truly appreciated your kindness, care, and professionalism. I highly recommend Mafalda to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to take care of their furry baby!

They are the best there is. They treat him like he’s their own dog and they spoil him so badly when he comes home he’s sad for a few days because he misses them. They are very responsible and they have a beautiful home a beautiful family. If you’re lucky to book them, you won’t have a care or worry in the world while you’re away. They’re really good at updating you and taking pictures and video. He gets treated so well.

Nilda was amazing with Major! This was our first time using Rover and first boarding, and she made us feel completely comfortable from the start. She took great care of him during his 5-day, 4-night stay and kept us updated, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Major came home happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with Nilda again and highly recommend her!

Soledad is simply the best! She cares for Ziggy as if he is her own dog. She was able to accommodate a somewhat last minute request for 4th of July weekend where she and her husband ensured that Ziggy was comfortable during the fireworks. Soledad is very easy to communicate with and sends photos/updates. Ziggy is always so excited to see her!

Mirelys was great with my dog, Olaf. She communicated throughout the stay by sending pictures and updates. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in good hands. Even with the fireworks all night, she made sure to make him feel comfortable and safe. Mirelys was very attentive. I would definitely book with her again.

Kelly and her husband were absolutely amazing and took perfect care of our dog Zelda. They are super sweet and very professional with how they cared for her. She provided ample updates and our dog couldn’t have been happier. And their dog Eggie is the best, very friendly and calm. Thank you so much!

| left my precious baby Maltipoo with SFPS and it was a great experience. She came home good and tired. She seemed to be happy and we were pleased with the pictures and updates about her. They had to give her medication as prior to going we learned she had a cataract. I have recommended them to various neighbors that have asked where we sent her. I definitely plan to use them again. Looking forward to some mini vacation plans now. 10/10 highly recommend

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
