“Sandra and Jonathan are super nice and did a wonderful job with Sancho and Lola! We were away on vacation missing them but they kept sending us pics that definelty gave us peace of mind. They had a wondeful time with Sandra and Jonathan. :) thank you tons!”

“I am so thankful for the level of care Svetlana provided my Nilla girl. Svetlana kept in touch with me several times each day, taking photos and videos. Nilla was very well taken care of and loved during her stay, and being able to see that she was ok made me feel comfortable. Svetlana is a pure person, I honestly can’t say enough about how grateful I am for the care she provided my baby.”

“Edith was fantastic! She has so much passion for animals and I could tell she knew how to take care of them. She was very easy to get ahold of, very accommodating, and she sent lots of videos so we knew our puppy was having fun and enjoying her stay.”

“Dawson has had an amazing time with Payal over the past several days — I’ve been getting the sweetest updates throughout the day, from adorable videos to cute photos that truly show how well she’s caring for him. On top of that, Payal has been incredibly accommodating with my demanding work schedule, always flexible and easy to work with. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend her!”

“Good communication, flexibility, friendly, and trustworthy. My experience with Mafalda was great and Poochie loved her! Will reach out to rebook again. Thanks for everything!”

“Valerie takes such good care of Tony! I also love her vivacious energy and great communication. She is extremely reliable and easy-going, which makes traveling without my little guy very easy.”

“Debi was great and took good care of our pup who was happy to play with hers. She was very sensitive to the fact that he was nervous (the socialization was good for him), ensured he was comfortable and sent photos each day of his stay. Thanks Debi!”
“Diana was an absolute gem of a dog sitter! I entrusted her with my fur baby Hazel for an entire week, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Diana went above and beyond to ensure Hazel had a fantastic time. She took Hazel on countless adventures, from beach outings to river walks and even trips to the pet store. The fact that she made the effort to keep Hazel active and engaged speaks volumes about her commitment to her furry guests. Despite being on a cruise with no cellular service, Diana was diligent about sending me regular updates and photos of Hazel's adventures. It was such a relief and joy to see those pictures when we returned home. Most importantly, Diana cared for Hazel as if she were her own. Her genuine love and attention to detail truly shone through, and I can't thank her enough for that. I wholeheartedly recommend Diana to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. She's simply the best! Rating: 10/10 - Would 100% recommend her!!”

“Kelly is the absolute BEST! From the moment we arrived my fur baby felt at ease and was excited to play. Her home is clean and has a doggy summer camp vibe with all the toys she provides! Rosie is very attached to me so I felt at ease with all the photos and videos Kelly provided me of Rosie having fun! To be honest, I think Rosie was a litttle sad to leave. I will definitely be using Kelly again and would 10 out of 10 recommend her!”

“Becca is an amazing pet sitter. She took care of our fur child 7 year old terrier for 2weeks. Every day she sent photos and videos showing Tiger at play or resting and on walks. She took such great care that Tiger didn’t immediately run for the door repeatedly telling us he wanted to leave. He was happy to be home but he’s found a good home when we’re traveling. Highly recommend Becca.”
“We HIGHLY recommend Jose for your pet sitting in Fort Lauderdale. We left our Dixie while we were on a 3 week cruise and she did not want to come back at first!!! She was so comfortable with Jose! He kept us up to date with videos and messages the whole time! He is now our go to person for this Alaskan couple who need a drop for our service dog👏👏👏👍❤️”

“Gael took care of my Chyna for a week when I was away. My Chyna is a nervous house pup who is wee wee pad trained and being out of her normal environment was a bit challenging for her. Gael was very patient and kept me updated everyday with pictures and text messages.”

“Marcos was awesome. He provided daily photos, videos, and care to Max as if I was still with Max at home. Max is very high energy and Marcos loved on Max with protective love and care. Thank you so much Marcos, Max truly enjoyed himself and even socialized with other dogs while I was away. Thank you for caring for my big baby Max.”

“Nicole and her family took wonderful care of Billie while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Billie is a high-energy dog, and they provided such an active, loving, and supportive environment that she immediately felt right at home. Nicole kept me updated every day with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I especially loved the thoughtful little touches—like playing Billie Eilish songs for Billie! It was clear that she was treated like part of the family and received lots of attention, exercise, and affection. I am incredibly grateful for the care, communication, and kindness they showed. I would absolutely trust Nicole with Billie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love and care for their dog as if it were their own.”

“Another wonderful stay with Teresa. We never have to worry about our pups when we travel because Teresa and Kip take such great care of them. We get daily updates and she keeps them in their routine as much as possible. So happy to have found them 🥰”

“Having Adriana take care of my fur baby was the most seamless and worry free experience I could have asked for. She was diligent in asking questions about his care and sending pictures with updates unprovoked throughout the week long stay, and my miniature golden doodle puppy seemed obviously happy and as if he was having a blast throughout the whole stay. When I picked him up he was almost hesitant to leave, showing me how much of a good time he had! I will definitely be rebooking Adriana and I’m so happy to have found a trusted dog sitter! I recommend her to every pet parent out there! And that’s coming from a helicopter dog mom!?”

“Hali was amazing and took very good care of my cat while I went out of town! She was incredibly attentive and sent me pictures every day, which helped me feel connected while I was away. My cat loved being there, especially playing with Hali’s cat, Charlie. She almost didn’t want to leave when I picked her up!”

“Ely is a super dog sitter, I'll definitely use his services for my dog again, they sent me picture everyday and they gave medicine tom my dog, 100% recommended, my dog looks like he want to stay with them.”

Rachael was great! She sent pictures and videos of my baby each day, and throughout. She actually takes really good pictures too! I was very surprised at how quickly my girl settled in and took to Rachael. This took a lot of stress off my mind, since this booking was kind of last minute. I would definitely use Rachael again after seeing how well she cared for my baby girl.

I highly recommend Jessica, Our dog Billy shakes with excitement when we drop him off and sleeps all day when we pick him up. He is definitely tired from all the fun he had. She quickly responds back to me and sends photos of Billy. We have used her a couple times and will continue.

Catherine is incredibly caring and thoughtful with my dog––from what time and how long to walk her during summer months to giving her medication and meals to providing me photos of how she's doing and how happy she is. I have complete peace of mind when I'm traveling. My dog has diabetes so her care is very specific and I always feel confident she's well cared for.

Jackie was absolutely wonderful with Ellie Mae! She took such great care of her and kept me updated throughout the stay with lots of pictures and frequent messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Ellie came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious she received lots of attention and love. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and would absolutely book with Jackie again. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
