“Alisha took excellent care of our 9-month, high-energy Havapoo, Salter for 8 days! Salter enjoyed playing in Alisha's fenced-in yard. Salter played with other dogs, which I'm sure she enjoyed! Alisha sent picture and video updates. Alisha is very nice and treated Salter with respect, discipline and love. We would definitely use Alisha again.”

“llaria is an amazing sitter! She provided daily updates and treated Otto like one her own. I highly recommend her for any boarding services. Otto came home happy and well rested!”

“Judy and her family impressed us so much. It's easy to find people on Rover with a million good reviews but then you run the risk of it feeling like your dog is under the care of a business. With Judy and her children we really felt like it wasn't a business to them. They really treated our dog like their own, with so much love and attention. They gave us updates regularly and made us feel relaxed knowing our dog was in good hands. To top it all off they sent him home with a special treat and new toys. We are sincerely grateful!”

“Tracey is fantastic! I’d never left my dog with a sitter before and was nervous how he’d do. She took great care of my buddy and sent me pictures with updates on how he was doing while I was gone. I would definitely recommend her and will be booking her again in the future!”

“Laura and Felipe are absolutely amazing! They both took excellent care of our two dogs Bela and Zoey while my husband and I were out of town. They were very sweet and kind to them, treating them as if they were their own. Laura and Felipe kept us up to date with photos throughout our trip. My dogs looked so happy, I don't think they wanted to go home! I strongly recommend Laura and Felipe, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you,”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid! I have a 4 pound Yorkie named Halo, and we love, welcoming friends in our home! I work from home, so plenty of love and attention and walks for your pup! I am comfortable with Senior pups as I have cared for my past pup, and I’m comfortable with puppies and I have cared for litters a couple times from my past dogs and rescue puppies. I’m currently working from home, so plenty of time for walks and care for your pup! I also have a rooftop deck that me and my pup love to get some sun time without a leash. My neighborhood has plenty of grass to roll around in and we even have a large park around the corner with dog parks if that’s what your dog loves. I have a large home with plenty of space to play, and we always welcome the pups on the couch and bed in this home so they won’t ever feel lonely. We also have a rooftop terrace if your pup loves a little bit of sunbathing and we are close to dog parks! I also live in a gated community for extra safety
“Lee Ann and her family were amazing with Tux and keeping me looped in to how he was doing each day. I would definitely recommend her and will be booking another stay for him with them soon!”

“Best decision I ever made was choosing Anastasiia and Vadim to take care of my precious pup. He is always safe and is excellent hands with them and I never have to worry. I’m the pickiest dog owner ever so trust me when I say these two are the BEST decision you will make.”

“Ariel was absolutely amazing… I don’t think my dogs wanted to leave. She took care of my five-year-old goldendoodle and three-month-old Bernadoodle like they were her own. Constant pictures and videos. If I could give her 10 stars, I would Absolutely the best experience ever!”

“Jessica was amazing while my goldendoodle stayed with her. She personally committed to sending me videos and pictures of Numa so many times throughout the day that I felt as though I i was still with my pup. She has a very calm and comforting nature with dogs which I got to see in action during our meet and greet. Jessica texted me with questions whenever something came up in handling my dog. She’s great!!!”

“This was the happiest I’ve ever seen my dog after getting picked up from a trip. You could tell he really enjoyed his time there, and has a new buddy out of Nala! This is our first sitter since we moved, and I think we’ve found our go to person!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life and have many years of dog sitting experience. I'm a dog lover and enjoy dog walks twice daily. I'm currently working part-time during the week and I'm home on the weekends. Twice a day dog walks with my pup and yours. I have a fenced patio, live in a safe and pet friendly neighborhood. I have a fur baby friendly and playfull with small dogs. Your pup will enjoy the company!
About: I’ve always been an animal lover. I raised two dogs from puppyhood. Lucy lived to 18, and my current pup, Porscha, is now 14. I also have a 15 year old cat, AppleJack, I’ve had since she was a kitten. So I know what it’s like to care for pets at every stage of life, from playful zoomies to slower senior strolls. I started pet sitting because I wasn’t looking to commit to another full time pet, but I still wanted to spend my days caring for animals and helping fellow pet parents. Whether it’s a quick walk, overnight stay, or just some company while you’re away, I’m here to give your pet the love and attention they deserve. I’m especially great with: Puppies and senior pets Shy or anxious animals Keeping routines and providing lots of updates (with cute pics!) At Playful Paws, your pet will feel safe, loved, and totally at home. I work fully remote, and so does my husband, which gives us the flexibility to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, a midday check-in, or some evening cuddles, we’re usually home and available to help. Being remote means your pet won’t be left alone for long periods, and we can easily adjust to their routine. Weekdays, weekends, we’re here to keep tails wagging and whiskers happy. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them in your home, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I treat every pet like they’re my own, with patience, love, and respect for their routine. At home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with cozy spaces, a clean setting, and plenty of playtime. My husband and I both work remotely, so someone’s almost always home for companionship and supervision. In your home, I’m mindful of your space and your pet’s habits. I follow instructions closely, whether that’s meal times, meds, or favorite toys, and I always keep things tidy and secure. You’ll get regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your fur baby is in caring, capable hands.
“Edith is amazing. Constant communication, videos, pictures, and love for my boy. I will never leave Joey anywhere else!!! Thank you, Edith for giving him a home away from home.”

“Jennifer was fantastic! I had a last minute work trip come up and needed someone to watch my buddy on short notice. Jennifer was very responsive and easy to work with; friendly yet efficient in all interactions. We arranged a quick meet and greet to make sure my dog and he dog got along and everything worked out perfect. You can tell Jennifer loves animals and she has a great little fenced in back yard on a quiet street - perfect if your dog likes to sunbathe or chase lizards. She appears to live an active lifestyle and I had no concerns that my dog would not receive enough exercise/attention. Jennifer sent several updates and pictures throughout and I knew my dog was well cared for. 100% recommend.”

“Was very hesitant to let anyone watch my fur baby. However Jose was amazing! Sent me multiple photos from walks, park and nap time. Jose is very friendly and courteous. Will always be my go to in the future!”

“Antonio is a GREAT host! Always very responsive whenever we had any questions and took great care of Blair. She had a blast being around the other dogs. We will without a doubt use him again in the future. Thank you Antonio!”

“Valerie and her family were extremely accommodating to my dog. First time my dog has been away from us for a while. My dog Hollie enjoyed herself and was well taken care of. Valerie and her family are great because they updated us with pictures and made sure Hollie got plenty full play time. I would recommend them !!”

“Jackie was amazing with my dog! He absolutely loved her. She was also great at communicating with me throught his entire stay which is an added bonus. Her services were excellent and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

Taylor was incredibly responsive and communicative Throughout Lenny’s stay. She also sent us lots of photos and updates, and it was reassuring to see how happy and comfortable our dog was. We’re so happy we found Taylor and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future.

Valeria went above and beyond by providing multiple photos daily, a daily wellness and behavior report, and by being kind and communicative. I can tell my dog was very happy with his stay with her. I will be booking with her from now on. She provided plenty of outdoor and indoor play time, and socialization with other dogs! Thank you Valeria

She was absolutely amazing! This was a last-minute booking, and she came through when my dog and I really needed someone. I’m so grateful for her help. She took such great care of my dog, and when I picked him up, he seemed happier than ever. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I would definitely book with her again!

Antonio looked after our Shiba Inu for 10 days and from the initial meet and greet to collecting our boy today, the experience has been amazing. Antonio is super friendly and professional. I loved the photos and kind messages he sent every day - this made it really reassuring that our boy was happy and well looked after. I highly recommend Antonio!

Valeria took excellent care of my 13 month old puppy. She was very attentive, and kept me up to date with frequent pictures of their time spent together. When I picked my dog up she was clearly having a great time. Highly recommend working with Valeria and I plan to again.

Nicole and her family took wonderful care of Billie while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Billie is a high-energy dog, and they provided such an active, loving, and supportive environment that she immediately felt right at home. Nicole kept me updated every day with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I especially loved the thoughtful little touches—like playing Billie Eilish songs for Billie! It was clear that she was treated like part of the family and received lots of attention, exercise, and affection. I am incredibly grateful for the care, communication, and kindness they showed. I would absolutely trust Nicole with Billie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love and care for their dog as if it were their own.

Elizabeth was wonderful to work with! She was very friendly and welcoming, and her kids were so sweet with Indy and her puppy energy. She has a nice-sized fenced backyard where all the dogs could run and play together, which Indy really seemed to enjoy. This was Indy's first time being boarded and her first experience being around multiple dogs at once. Elizabeth was caring for four other dogs during Indy's stay, and it was great to see how well they all interacted. She also sent daily videos of Indy playing with the other dogs, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Overall, I appreciated Elizabeth's communication and the care she provided. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly, experienced sitter with a great outdoor space for social dogs.

Felipe and Laura took great care of our baby Ziggy. This was the first time we were leaving our 2 month old puppy with anyone and they not only kept us well informed on how she was doing but also put our worries at ease knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely use Felipe and Laura again to take care of our pup.

Kelly and her husband were absolutely amazing and took perfect care of our dog Zelda. They are super sweet and very professional with how they cared for her. She provided ample updates and our dog couldn’t have been happier. And their dog Eggie is the best, very friendly and calm. Thank you so much!

Jackie was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we connected, she was incredibly communicative, responsive, and thoughtful. She kept us updated regularly and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, it was obvious how much she genuinely loved and cared for our dog, Amber. As pet owners, that’s the one thing you hope for, and Jackie exceeded every expectation. Amber was not just cared for—she was loved, spoiled, and treated like family. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog, which says everything. Jackie is trustworthy, reliable, kind, and clearly has a special gift with animals. I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough. In fact, she’s so good that part of me doesn’t even want to leave this review because I’d love to keep her all to ourselves! 😊 But she deserves every bit of praise. If you’re looking for someone to care for your pet as if it were their own, Jackie is the one.

David is a superb pet sitter indeed! I am always hesitant to leave my senior dog with someone new, but David went above and beyond to care for our little guy. He gave daily updates with pictures and videos…as well as made suggestions from the knowledge he has with dogs and especially some older ones. I will definitely book with David next time we need a sitter. He’s a really sweet person and a loving care giver. Five stars across the board!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
