I am a recent graduate from Nova Southeastern University where I obtained my B.S. in Neuroscience. Now, I spend most of my time as a foster and volunteer for the cat team at a local rescue. My schedule is pretty flexible during the summer besides my scheduled volunteer shifts.

Having a cat of my own, I know how important it is to make sure cats always have what they need and get the care they deserve. I make sure to clean litter boxes at least once a day, follow feeding routine (dry and/or wet food), refill water (fountain and/or bowl) to ensure good hydration, administer medications if needed, play with them to enhance mental stimulation, and give them lots of love. If your cat has any special routines or restrictions, I am more than happy to learn and follow them to ensure your cat's health.

I’m a lifelong animal lover with the most hands-on experience caring for cats. As a foster and volunteer for the cat team at a local rescue, I’ve learned how to read cat body language, safely handle stress or distress, administer medications, and provide thoughtful, attentive daily care. I’ve also raised bottle babies, so I’m comfortable with kittens and cats who need a little extra patience and support. Having grown up with pets all my life, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I’ll treat your cat like my own. Caring for cats is my favorite kind of therapy, a few purrs, soft head bumps, and quiet cuddle time can melt away any stress.

I hired Janelle to come by my house while on vacation to check on my 4 cats. She was so nice at the meet and greet and really paid attention to the needs of my kitties. She came to my house and played with them, fed them, cleaned their litter, and refilled their water. She was on time, and did a great job. This was on a holiday as well, so it is nice having someone who can work holidays. It’s so nice having someone who I can trust while I’m away, and I will be hiring her again!! I highly recommend Janelle Bachman Rodriguez as a pet sitter, without any reservation whatsoever. She is 100 percent a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable animal lover who I would trust with the care of my cats with zero hesitation. I foster for Saving Sage Animal Rescue and I deal with Janelle on a daily basis in her role for them and she is extremely conscientious when it comes to overseeing the welfare of the animals, personally handling every detail from coordinating medical or housing needs to ensuring they are socialized and prepared in every possible way for adoption. In the group chat for fosters Janelle is a constant source of information for every phase of animal care, and she does so in a calming manner, which is very welcome and appreciated by all of the fosters who are operating under demanding and critical circumstances and in many cases are the difference between life or death for the pets. Her capability is surpassed only by her total commitment.
Janelle is so knowledgeable and so caring for my cats. I would trust no one else. I have two special needs cats that need medication and one can be quite difficult if you dont know how to approach him and Janelle is the only one I trust with the task!
