About: I had numerous dogs growing up and currently have one of my own, Finley, a Goldendoodle; I adore looking after pets and others. Dogs of all energy levels are welcome as I have a large yard, great for playtime, and plenty of space to accommodate others. Plenty of experience with medicines and special needs animals, too. Routine is key with time management to make sure there’s adequate time for play and adventure. Every morning starts with a walk, and I typically take my own pet to the park twice a day. My home has an enclosed backyard with ample space to run around. When house/petsitting, I’ll always ensure pets are on a leash before exiting to run errands or go for a walk.

About: I’ve never lived without a dog, so I have life experience playing, feeding, walking, and bathing pups. I helped raise and train my parents’ Golden Retriever puppy during COVID. I’m the go-to sitter for friends’ dogs and have experience with giving oral medication safely. I work full time, but remotely on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays and can easily take a break to take care of your baby. Weekends are fully open, unless out of town. I treat each clients home with professionalism and ensure that I take care not only the pets, but leave no trace of me behind. Your house is your safe space and I will never spoil that for you.

Chelsea has been my go-to dog walker for a few months. Not only does she gave fantastic consistent availability, but she is incredibly professional in her interactions with myself and my pup. When my pup had surgery this week, Chelsea followed my instructions to a T, even if it made the visits a little more difficult and was so communicative as to how my girl was doing at home. I felt so much better knowing she is so well taken care of with Chelsea!

About: I’ve taken care of animals for over a decade now. It’s a passion- I went to Vet school for 6months. I am able to give insulin, give any medications. I am very comfortable with reactive dogs and I use to have a reactive dog myself so i understand it. I enjoy doing what the animal does, they like to sit around and hang out? Sure so do I! If they like to go on frequent walks and play all day? Okay I’m down! I’m very open minded and understanding of everyone’s situation. I’ve animal sat - Reptiles, Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rodents. The size makes no difference to me either, I’ve watched Great Danes and I’ve watched Corgis :) I’m not great at writing but I promise I’m great at caring for you animal 🫶🏻 I’m currently unemployed- I leave October 4th for CDL training so I just need to fill time and I would love nothing more than taking care of animals! I like to walk often - sometimes around the block but most times in the woods and for a couple miles. I’m also a gamer so I do enjoy sitting down to play for a couple hours out of the day. So I’m at home most of the day. I would more than likely come to your home but I’ll explain my living :) My boy Frodo is an off leash dog, I trained him and still continue to train him. Either me or my fiance will take him for a walk, I usually take him on about a 2mi walk. He eats 2 times a day(kibble and homemade). Lots and lots of playtime unless he’s sleeping we are doing something. Just kind of puts in your mind what I do with my animal <3

About: I have had a dog for 7 years! He is super playful and joyous. I have had to brush his teeth, clip his nails, and give him medicine, along with all other responsibilities that come with a dog. I love big dogs and am very patient with all animals. I currently work part-time and have availability in the mornings and nights! I walk everyday and am hoping to include a pet in my daily walks! I am very tidy and considerate of people's space as well as the animal's environment. I take care to keep anything dangerous locked away from my pets in my home and am very careful with opening and closing doors to the outside due to my cat!

Booking with us means excellent service & cleanly people. & someone you can trust with your babies!! we are able to spend all day & night with them so they don’t need to be left alone for longer than an hour or two at a time. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals Depends on the client’s situation! About: I’ve taken care of multiple family dogs since I was a kid helping with training, walking, and feeding. I started dog sitting and boarding a couple of years ago and really enjoy it as I don’t yet have my own dog at home. I currently work remote full time in Verona. I have open availability for dog boarding and sitting. During weekdays, I have availability for walks in the morning and evenings, I have more flexibility on the weekends. I always ensure the dogs I take care have everything they need and are safe at home and on walks. I am responsible and reliable and always make my commitments on time. I currently work fully remote so I have the ability to dog sit and board without having to leave your pets alone for long periods of time. I also am very active so walks are already a part of my daily routine. I am very good at following the pet parents instructions and schedules for their dogs. I always do my best to make sure the dog is comfortable and provide the same level of care they are used to.

About: I have been an animal lover ever since I was little. I have had hamsters, fish, cats, and a dog that I helped to walk. I have volunteered at an animal shelter and have a passion for all animals. I currently work full-time but I would be able to drop-in before I start my full-time job and after I start my full-time job. I also would have more availability to drop in more times on a weekend. I currently have a cat at home that I take care of every day. I clean the litter box, fill his water, and feed him. I even have had to give him medication recently when he had to get some teeth removed.

My family also has solid experience with senior pets. I have had many and varied pets over the years: cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, Guinea pigs, birds and have loved them all! I will love your baby just like my very own! Thank you for the privilege of allowing me to care for your non human babies! I look forward to meeting each and every one! If you talk with any of my family and friends they know how crazy I am about my fur babies and your fur babies will too! I look forward to meet you in person! I booked Sarah through Rover to check in on my pets while I was on vacation, and she was amazing! She visited daily, walked Yogi three times a day, and made sure Luna was happy and cared for. I loved getting picture updates, and she contacted me right away with any concerns. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were well cared for, which let me really enjoy my trip. Highly recommend!

Sarah went above and beyond working with us to figure out how to make our dog more comfortable after he initially didn’t feel comfortable with a new person. She was on time and kept us up-to-date while we were away, and we returned to a happy little guy. I really appreciated her information and photos sent at each visit.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Cassandra! Recently, a storm hit our area — not exactly ideal conditions for anyone. But without hesitation, she went above and beyond her role and helped clean up before carrying on with caring for Harvey. That kind of thoughtfulness and initiative is incredibly rare. She didn't have to do that — but she did it anyway, and it meant the world to me. It's clear she genuinely cares. So If you're looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, and goes the extra mile (literally and figuratively), look no further. Thanks Cass :)

For a vacation where everything that could go wrong almost did, Kayli was the one reliable positive thing that we had to deal with through our planning and travels! Kayli was very communicative, sent lots of pictures, and was super understanding and easy going while dealing with our pipes freezing while she stayed with our pets. I also think our pets behaved better for her than they do for us!! I was a little reluctant to use rover as we have always had friends stay with our pets but I am so happy to have found Kayli!

AJ was great. I reached out just a few days before we needed help, and even with the last-minute changes (including thinking I had to cancel, and then uncanceling), she was incredibly accommodating. She stopped by, let Vinny out to pee, gave him a treat, spent a little time with him, and made sure everything was locked up before leaving. Vinny was happy and well cared for!

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Penn Hills stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Penn Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Penn Hills with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Penn Hills. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
