“Destiny was an absolute lifesaver! I needed a last-minute walker and she came through without hesitation — and honestly, she set the bar high. From the start she was professional, responsive, and just genuinely lovely to work with. She even came prepared with treats, and took the time to ask permission and check about allergies first — such a thoughtful touch that showed she really cares about the dogs in her charge. My pup came home happy, wagging, and gloriously tired (every dog owner's dream!). You can tell he had a great time. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your fur baby — especially on short notice — Destiny is your person. We'll absolutely be booking again!”

“Page was awesome and we would rebook her again! She was timely and communicative throughout our booking! As first time users of Rover, and Alfie's first time having a dog walker drop-in, she made it very easy for us to trust her and her experience walking small dogs. She went above and beyond our requests and provided detailed updates of her visits. Thank you so much Page for being a responsible and loving dog walker!”

“Wei is amazing with my dog - she’s so happy to see Wei for her walks and always comes back tired. Wei is super reliable and very communicative, sending tons of pictures every booking”

“Emily and Thomas were great with our dog Gracie! They came to walk her daily for a month while my partner was out of town on business. We highly recommend their services!”
“Ronnie was great with walking my shy chihuahua mix during a busy week I had. She was very responsive, easy to work with, and was understanding of my dog’s quirks. Recommend and would book again!”

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for dogs for the past four years since moving to San Francisco. I started by helping friends and neighbors with their dogs, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and routine. I’m very attentive, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether that means sticking closely to feeding schedules, giving extra attention on walks, or making sure they get plenty of playtime and affection, I take pet care seriously and treat every dog like my own. I’m happy caring for energetic dogs, shy dogs, seniors, and pups who need a little extra patience and attention! Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I work my own schedule and have a lot of flexibility throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, feedings, and playtime as needed, and I make sure pets get plenty of attention and consistency while you are away. I enjoy building pet care into my day and always try to be dependable, communicative, and accommodating to each pet’s routine. I focus on providing attentive, reliable care while keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I’m very communicative and make sure to send daily photo updates and check-ins so you always know how your pet is doing. I also respond quickly to messages and am happy to adjust care as needed to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Jill can be trusted to care for your beloved companion. She is reliable, mature and responsible, and a pleasure to work with. And Sophie our Chihuahua mix is very comfortable with her, and she is very particular about who she'll go with.”
About: I’m at Fort Funston or Pine Lake Park or one of the many petlands nearby. I’ve been a dog friend with my own dog family for over 20 years. We talk to each other frequently I’m retired and flexible, able to provide loving care with relatively little notice. I generally go on two longer walks each day where the dogs exercise me I have a fenced back yard in the Parkside/Sunset and own our home with my spouse and Zeke, our beagle mix. It is safe and secure

About: I'm a work-from home writer and editor seeking pups who like walks on the beach, trips to the dog park, play in the back yard, and flops on the couch. I share my spacious one-bedroom apartment with The Governor, a one-eyed Italian Greyhound and Bobcat, a 12-year-old Cornish Rex cat (so if your dog hates cats, you'll probably want to pass on us). We'd love to have your dog join us (well not the cat) for on-leash walks on nearby Ocean Beach, trips to the dog park (Golden Gate Park and Stern Grove are our jams, but we're happy to drive to your pup's fave park), visits to my good-sized back yard (great for dogs with shy, frequent, or reluctant bathroom habits), and naptime on the couch or in bed (the cat will be back for that part). Since I work from home, I'm always here to make sure no one gets in trouble, and that everyone gets plenty of fresh air and exercise. When I do leave (rare), I have a great online security system I use to keep a remote eye on activities, so I can peek at your dog from my phone no matter where I am to make sure no shenanigans are afoot. I also have solid baby gates and rooms with doors for any dogs who need a little private time, all in dog-proofed and friendly rooms. I also have a car, so if there's ever a serious issue (knock on wood that there will not be!) I can get any distressed animals to the hospital of your choice in a flash. When we're at the beach and park, I also tag every guest dog with Tile, a temporary gps tool that lets me track any escapees in a flash. Though I'd never take your dog off-leash at the park or the beach, and I've never had a runaway, I still believe that it's far better to be safe than sorry, right? If you'd like, I'm happy to provide references from both animal care professionals and regular people, who can all attest to my pet-care-giving prowess. You can also check out my photos to see a variety of dogs having fun in and around my home. Enough about me! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Can't wait for your pup to come hang out at my place! Why I love dog sitting My parents got a dog right before I was born, so I've had them in my life always! Most recently, I had a dachshund/black lab rescue for over a decade, cared for a 17-year-old chihuahua in the last years of his life, and currently have an Italian Greyhound bossing me around. About my yard I have a 25x25 back yard that's a mix of garden, undeveloped dirt/growth, and plants and trees. It's an ongoing project. My experience administering medication Yes. I've given subcutaneous fluids, pills, and liquid meds to many dogs. As a writer, I work from home and set my own schedule, so I have the flexibility to walk, play with, or just flop with your pets. I have a fenced in yard and several separate rooms to allow for separation between any pets that need it. I also own my own car, so I can quickly ferry any pets in distress to an ER vet, if needed.
“Margaux was wonderful with my sweet senior pups. They definitely enjoyed their morning strolls with her, and Margaux was very prompt and communicative which was much appreciated. Thanks again for taking such good care of my boys!”

“Our normally anxious dog loved Joe! I honestly think maybe my dog prefers Joe over me. He was responsive and punctual. Couldn't ask for more! Would love to have him help us again!”

About: I've been around animals my whole life. I had a cat growing up, and pet-sat dogs since middle school. I have experience handling medication and working with animals that need a little extra patience and attention. My partner and I love to take long walks in the Outer Sunset, and it is even better when we can do that walk with a loving dog we find on Rover. As a person who works in research, I treat every pet's care seriously. Not just with love, but with the same curiosity and attention to detail I bring to my work. This summer, I have a flexible schedule because I am taking online asynchronous summer classes and working small part-time jobs here and there. Morning walks are always my favorite, as I am a morning person, but I am open to anything! As a person whose cat is so important to them, I put an emphasis on following the pet parent's desires for how I take care of their pet. A part of pet sitting is finding ways to get the pet parent to not have to worry, so I will always make sure the pet is well taken care of and be easily accessible.
About: Now a mostly retired zoo professional, I have decades of experience in animal care, including having dogs for 30 years and caring for the pets of friends and family. I have a special fondness for seniors and have adopted several over the years. I am certified in pet CPR and I am volunteering at Muttville! Being in the presence of animals is my greatest joy. My schedule is flexible, and I can care for your babies any time during the day or early evening on most days. Just reach out and let me know when and where! I will follow your instructions to the letter and will be certain to treat your babies as my own. Working in the zoo field for decades has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of following protocol and prioritizing animal safety while having fun and finding joy in the moment!
“We absolutely have enjoyed having Nicky as our dog walker for our beloved pup, Unagi. Nicky is extremely friendly, and attentive. Unagi always looks forward to her walks with Nicky and comes home happy and tired from all the fun they had together. Nicky shows a genuine love and care for Unagi, and we always felt at ease knowing she is in good hands. We highly recommend Nicky to anyone looking for a trustworthy and wonderful dog walker.”

My animal senses tingle at the smallest change from the norm and I will be sure to communicate any and all issues to you so you don't fret over your baby :) I have a full work from home job so I will have plenty of time to play with and take care of your fur baby! Your pet won't just have a sitter; they'll have a companion who's readily available for play and companionship I notice the smallest things so I can ensure your feline friend or canine companion receives personalized care during my cat and dog sitting services. From secure play areas to attentive monitoring, every detail is crafted with their well-being in mind. Your pets are not just guests; they're family, and their safety is my top priority.

“Responsive, on time, friendly. What more can you ask for when looking for someone to walk your fur baby? Sherian was great with Ziggy! The fact that he’s currently laying down passed out on the floor means he had a wonderful walk. 😊 If you’re looking for a walker, I highly recommend Sherian!”

It was such a relief to have Flurina’s help walking our dogs these past two weeks! It was super easy to coordinate with her too. I could tell the dogs loved her and we appreciated not having to worry about them being cooped up at home all day while we were at work.

Aaron provided excellent care for our dog Honey. He walked her 6x over 2 weeks. Honey was timid the first couple of times, but Aaron was very patient with her while the trust grew. He’s very communicative and flexible which is greatly appreciated. We’ve already booked him for the next time we need dog walking services!

This was our first time booking with Seng and she was absolutely amazing! We were in a situation where we needed help walking our dog for several days on short notice and Seng was very accommodating and scheduled a meet and greet for the following day. She was very warm, kind, and affectionate towards our dog and he loved her. She was always on time, communicated well, and sent great photo updates throughout the walk. We look forward to having Seng look after our dog again!

Shailyng was great, she writes the best updates and send a lot of pictures. It makes me feel like I'm with the dogs while reading the updates. She will take care of every little detail. The dogs were happy when I came from my trip which means they were well taken care of. I'll make sure to refer her to my friends.
