About: I have been caring for dogs since we got our own pet dog when I was 8. Since then, we have fostered many puppies, and I have become a volunteer raiser and sitter for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I have lots of experience with different kinds of pet care for all kinds of different pets. I am a senior student at Ithaca College with a very light schedule this semester! I would love to spend my free time caring for your pets. I am familiar with exercising and entertaining pets, or practicing any training you may request. He doesn't just do the basics (food, water, litter box); he goes the extra mile, like vacuuming up stray litter and playing with my cat. My cat is usually shy, but he warmed up to John quickly. Karla took the time to make sure our 16 yr old senior cat was comfortable and cared for during each drop-in visit. Just keeping up with the litterbox (he goes A LOT) was a task- and it was nice and clean. The updates and photos were greatly appreciated and helped us feel connected while we were away. Victoria took care of my two cats while I was away for the weekend and she was fantastic. She sent lots of pictures and really cute updates about what they were doing during her visits. She was kind and communicative, I’d definitely have her watch my cats again!!
Rachel was phenomenal. She cared for our dog and two cats for a full week, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone more personable, reliable, or genuinely kind. All three pets absolutely loved her. She didn’t just stop in — she engaged with them, played with them, and made sure each one felt comfortable and cared for. One of our cats needed daily medication, and Rachel worked closely with us to find the best delivery method. She even picked up the medication from our vet when it ran out. Beyond pet care, she fed our outdoor birds and watered our plants without us asking — such a thoughtful touch. Her schedule was perfect: a full hour (or more) every morning, another hour (or more) in the evening, plus an extra midday stop for a quick dog potty break. Aleta is so great with my timid and elderly kitty. She has very patiently gotten Mona to come out and be a bit more social over time. Also, she thinks of everything from treats to drawing the blinds during heat waves to keep my cat cool. When my return date changed abruptly, she was accommodating and supportive. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
