About: I’ve taken care of dogs at all stages of life. My experience ranges from young pets to senior care. It’s been an honor. I work part-time from home and have a flexible schedule. I live in close proximity to multiple Portland Trails and our home fronts the Fore River and boarders a sanctuary. I have a fenced yard and a friendly Yellow Lab named Uma, who lives for her next play date. She is respectful of senior dogs and puppies too. There’s lots of room to run around and play.
“Matt was great! He was communicative from the meet and greet through a full week of 2x day walks, he always provided an update on how things were going. He was caring and patient with my dog and punctual for all walks! Thank you Matt!”

“Meagan is awesome! She was so excited to meet Knox the first time and went above and beyond with him on their walks! We really appreciated the pictures and notes from their time together. Meagan also shows up promptly and left me with a tired and happy puppy! Highly recommend!”

“Madeleine is amazing. I was in the hospital for 10 days and when my service dog was finally able to come spend a few nights with me, Madeleine stepped right up to the task. Then I got discharged before expected and had to cancel her and she was very professional and understanding. Now she’s going to be coming to my house to walk my service dog some weekends which helps me hugely! My dog was instantly comfortable with Madeleine and I’m so grateful for her experience and flexibility because everything was double speed while I was in the hospital. Best rover walker I’ve met.”

“Alejandro was prompt.Rosie was excited to see him and well exercised after. He was also professional and attentive to our dogs needs and particulars. Will be booking again.”

About: 35 years of experience caring for dogs, puppies, kittens & cats. I’m good with anxious dogs & scaredy cats. I have a flexible schedule, let me know how I can help. I am currently doing Rover full-time. For many years i have lived in homes with pets and helped care for them. Currently living in a home with 1 cat, 1 dog, and 12 chickens. We also do doggy day care and do boarding- so we keep pretty busy. I always walk dogs on their leashes. I make sure to keep medications and other harmful things locked away. We have a fenced in yard, but i’m always out there with them. I try to take as good care for your animals as if they were my own.
“Anna is a friendly and capable dog lover. She was prompt and resourceful in getting my dog to walk, and she followed the cues he gave her. She sent lots of photos and wrote a thorough description of activities. I will definitely ask her to care for my dog again.”

“Even after the front door locked Nicholas out, he and his wife still stayed with cooper until I was able to come home. They did not accept my cash tip I offered for being so patient, and they only had things to praise cooper for. Great walkers and great people!”

“Thank you for taking the time for a meet & greet before we confirmed dog walking. Leo and I both appreciate the care you provide for him and the prompt responses when coordinating times for dog walks”

“Andy has been walking my dog fairly regularly for over 6 months now and I can’t recommend him enough. He is always timely in his response and communicates very clearly. I would recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a loving and responsible dog walker.”

“Mae is fantastic! She’s amazing with my 80 pound shepherd and little golden doodle. She was open to whatever routine was best for my dogs with ball playing and walks, and is a positive, helpful part of our daily routine. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have always considered pets part of the family. I grew up with dogs and currently spend lots of time with our family’s high-energy Blue Heeler mix, who keeps me active and reminds me how much enrichment, exercise, and attention dogs need to thrive. I’m also a lifelong cat lover. My 19-year-old cat recently passed away after many years together, and during his final years I provided extensive care, including managing daily medications and supporting him through several medical needs. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need a little extra patience and attention. I currently volunteer walking dogs at the Animal Welfare Society, where I love getting to know dogs with all different personalities and energy levels. I especially enjoy working with active breeds who need extra exercise, mental stimulation, and adventure. If you have a high-energy dog who loves walks, exploring, or getting outside, I’d love to help! I’m happy to provide everything from neighborhood walks and drop-in visits to longer adventures like day hikes for dogs who are ready for a little more activity. I work full-time, so my availability is focused around evenings, weekends, holidays, and scheduled visits. I am available for overnight stays in your home, and I’m happy to provide cat sitting, drop-in visits, and care for pets who benefit from a little extra attention while you’re away. For dogs, I offer walks and visits during my available times, with a special love for active dogs who need exercise and enrichment. Weekends and holidays are great opportunities for longer walks, outdoor adventures, and extra quality time. I’m committed to providing dependable, thoughtful care that fits your pet’s routine and helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. My priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re away from their family. I will follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and their preferred ways of receiving attention. When caring for pets in their own home, I understand that maintaining their familiar environment and routine is often the most comforting option. I will treat your home with respect and provide updates so you know how your pet is doing. For pets staying in my home, I provide a calm, safe environment and tailor their experience to their individual personality. Cats will have a quiet space to settle in and, depending on their comfort level and my availability, can have supervised access to explore and interact. When I’m away, I prioritize safety by providing a secure, comfortable area where they can relax.
About: I have two years of experience working in a doggy daycare facility and over 13 years of experience providing more intimate in-home care for families. I have worked with young animals to seniors and understand the patience that is required while working with animals. For previous families, I have provided drop-in visits, including walks and playtime, and provided longer-term overnight care, including feedings, supplements and medication, and all the loving attention. I, too, have been a pet parent to: dogs, cats, ferrets, parrots, and fish, to name a few, so I understand how important it is to find a sitter you feel comfortable with, who connects with your pet(s), and who takes care of your animals and your home. I currently own and run a small private wellness practice in Portland, which gives me flexibility with my schedule some days. With enough notice, I can commit to specific morning or mid-day time frames I may be needed for drop-in care, walks, or feedings. Unfortunately, I am not available for boarding at my house, overnight stay care, or evening drop-ins since I have two senior miniature dachshunds and a 6-month old baby whom I have to pick up from day care. In the past - for overnight care or boarding, I preferred to arrange a time for me to meet with you and your furbaby before deciding if I am a good fit for what you need. For walks/mid-morning or mid-day drop ins, I’m open to discussing details over the phone before meeting in person.
“Sarah is great! She always sends lots of pictures and a detailed report after her walks with my dog Mango. She’s always on time, has been able to help out on short notice, and has incredible patience for Mango who can be skiddish of new people. We’re very lucky to have found Sarah ☺️”

About: I have pet sat for neighbors, friends and family for six years where I was responsible for walking and feeding their animals. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd and have been walking dogs since I was 10. I am an Elementary School Teacher so I am looking for something part time or full time for the summer months. I am also looking to continue my services when the school year starts in September. I currently have two cats of my own who get along very well with other animals. My parents dog stays with me as well on some weekends. I have a large park near my apartment and my parents dog really enjoys running around there. I am an elementary school teacher, so I will be available mostly full time during the summer months and then I will transition into a part time schedule when school starts back up in the fall. I have two cats of my own, so your pet will have fur friends to play with when/ if they stay at my home. Right next to my home I have a large park that residents take their pets to. I would also love to take your pet to a nearby dog park, that way they can socialize in a safe space!
About: I have grown up helping at my family boarding and grooming shop! I also have had variety of pets throughout my life and love them! It provides me with exercise and time with animals between my job and relaxing at home with my own dog. I love being active and being with animals. In a clients home I remain respectful of all household items, ensure things remain clean according to any instructions left for me. I also will make sure pets are provided with lots of love, play time and anything else needed! I love meeting new animals and people, along with getting to know Maine since moving here in 2022! But, I primarily love getting me cute animal fix in when I’m off from my primary job! I always ensure I have specific and direct instructions left to adhere to, double check with pet parents and also keep an eagle out for ANY abnormal behaviors.

Dory is great! Super communicative and definitely went the extra mile, helping me out with a super last minute booking. She was also really attentive to my senior pups unique needs. I knew he had a great visit by how chill he was when I got home later that day. Thanks so much Dory!

Aaron was great! He came to meet Rogue a few days before and she instantly seemed comfortable with him. I was able to go on my trip knowing she would be well cared for. I recieved a text when the walk was completed saying they had a great walk with no Issues. I highly reccomend Aaron.
Barbra was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we met, I could tell my dog was in great hands. She was kind, attentive, and clearly cares so much about the animals she looks after. My dog was happy and comfortable with her right away, and I really appreciated her communication and care. I would definitely recommend Barbra to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!

I am very grateful for Katherine! My 15yo son who usually walks our dog woke up this morning with a very sore throat and not feeling well. Katherine responded quickly and agreed to walk Duke on very short notice. She arrived on time and was so nice. I definitely would ask her walk Duke in the future.

Johanna was great walking my senior dog GiGi. It was a snowy and muddy day. Johanna was on board with keeping my dog from getting muddy on the walk. She was very patient with GiGi’s slow, senior pace. Gigi enjoyed her walk very much! I highly recommend Johanna for your dog walking needs.
