“Jesse takes his job of caring for dogs very seriously. I trusted Jesse to take care of my dog for a week while I was traveling. There’s not many people I fully trust with my fur-baby! Jesse loves dogs and you can see the joy is his eyes when he watches them play. He’s patient, but firm when necessary and strong enough to handle Big dogs.”

About: Since 2016 I've dog sat for my friend and her family on numerous occasions-- Her sister's dogs, her grandmother's dog and her own three dogs. Most of the pups were easy to take care of but some were a little more hyperactive and with very willful personalities. I love animals and try to find ways to make time in my life to spend with them. I'm very patient and like to hang out with dogs from all walks of life, from puppies to old dogs, and from very friendly to more socially awkward dogs. I'm currently working part-time while working on my illustration career on the side. I have a very open schedule as I mostly work 3-4 days a week, and the shifts are short. I know my schedule in advance for the month, so I'm very flexible and it will be simple to fit in time to take care of animals. I won't be providing service in my own home, but for drop-ins, pet-sitting and walks, I'm very punctual! I have my own transportation so traveling isn't a problem. I don't mind taking special care to get dogs and cats alike to warm up to me, and since I have grown up around animals I'm well-versed in their behavior. I'm confident in my ability to treat your pets as if they were my own!
6. Cassandra R.
“Cassie walks my 2 large breed rescues, and has been fabulous with them! She goes above and beyond, taking them on hikes on nearby trails, and always giving them extra love. I always get pictures and videos of each walk, and she is great about working with my inconsistent work schedule.”
7. Josie S.
“Dependable and very helpful!”
8. Lily G.
“Lily did a great job walking my dog while I was on a work trip. She was very warm and wrote some amazing summaries of their time together. Would recommend Lily as a pet sitter for anyone!”
9. Gray M.
“Gray is the perfect person to care for any of your pets! She has taken care of my (wildly) enthusiastic 1.5 year old Golden Retriever with incredible patience, love, and responsibility. Gray is my go-to with puppy care and goes the extra mile with lots of play and attention during their time with my pup. My dog gets SO EXCITED when getting to hang with Gray yet, Gray somehow manages to have a calming presence on my dog soon after the initial greeting is over. I couldn't recommend a pet sitter/walker any more highly than Gray!”
10. Annie H.
“Annie has been a dog lover her entire life. Her passion for life and all things nature is contagious as she shares this love with everyone she encounters. Her family dog is back in Cincinnati Ohio and I know she will care for your pet with the same compassion as her own Lucy.”
11. Emily V.
“Emily has over 20 years of experience living with and working with dogs. In the past, she spent many hours volunteering at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. She is very patient, responsible, and strong enough to handle any situation. She has experience with all different types of dogs including large, strong breeds; growing up with a Husky/Rottweiler mix and currently owning a Pitty. More recently, she has been fostering a rescue pup from a local shelter. He is about a year old and does not understand his manners yet. Emily has been extremely patient and helped teach him proper behavior and basic commands. I think she will do an excellent job taking care of your pup.”
12. Kevin C.
“Kevin may have been a dog in a former life, because he just couldn’t be any more outgoing and friendly and he is full of energy for those long walks! My dog Pax always looks forward to his walks with Kevin, and I appreciate how reliable and responsible Kevin is, too. I love the fact I never have to wait on a response, he is always quick to reply and sends me great pictures of their walks whenever I ask!”
13. Rose B.
“Rose is fantastic with our dog. Kind, prompt, and compassionate. He’s not the most active guy and can be stubborn and Rose has embraced it all. We are so lucky to have found her.”

About: Hi, I've grown up with dogs my whole life, always a minimum of three at a time. I grew up with a Newfoundland and various terriers. I'm comfortable around dogs and I just happen to have some extra time throughout the week where I thought I'd try to help those that are busy, but want what's best for their dog. I have 6+ years experience housesitting/petsitting for dogs/cats/chickens/rabbits and I am open to this as well if that is something you are looking for. I work from home in the neighborhood near Evergreen Cemetery and I am currently not working Fridays. I'm accepting pet care Fridays anytime between 7am- 3pm and I also have openings throughout the week if you live in my neighborhood. I'm happy to coordinate more times with you. I work as a Physician Assistant providing telehealth and I make my own schedule, so I'm flexible! For now, I am just offering dog walking so there will be no care inside either home. If you would like to contact me about petsitting or housesitting please let me know.

About: Nice to meet you and your furry friend(s)! I've been an animal lover my whole life and cared for a menagerie of pets through the years. I have experience caring for dogs, chickens, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, mice, and hamsters and am currently cat mom to two, three year old pandemic kitties, Carmen Catiego and Matilda VonFloofenstein (aka Carmen and Tilly). In addition to caring for your pets in your home, I welcome dogs for short stay boarding in my home in Portland. My teenager and I have a peaceful, low energy home with a partially fenced back yard in a walkable neighborhood. I’m also a quick jaunt from Mackworth Island, Willard Beach, and Back Bay for longer walks. I'm currently self-employed with a flexible schedule and can accommodate home visits and walks most days after 9am. I'm available for overnights with your pets in your home on weekends and can board dogs for short stays in my home in Portland. You and your pet's comfort and safety are my top priorities! I have deep reverence for the sanctity of home and understand that it's an honor to be invited into someone's space and be trusted to care for their pets when they are away. For boarding in my home, I can only board doggos that respect kitty boundaries. I prefer if they are able to be crated at night but can accommodate dogs that don't crate at night depending on the situation and your dogs personality and temperament.
18. Seth W.
“Seth was incredibly patient with my anxious pup who gets stressed around new people. He clearly has a strong understanding of working with dogs and he developed a lot of trust with my dog in a short period of time. His daily updates and pictures were much appreciated. He even did some training with my pup as a way to build trust and confidence in her. We can’t wait to hire Seth again!”
19. Sarah N.
“Sarah is one of the most caring, responsible, compassionate people on this planet! Her love for dogs and animals in general is unlike anyone I know. She is very trustworthy and has a lot of experience caring for dogs. Sarah will continue to be my "go-to" dog watcher for years to come :) ”

About: I love to have all sorts of little dogs in the home. I have one requirement that they cohabitate well with my old man dog. I do have a cat too but she always ignores dogs. Teeth brushing is not a problem, playtime is frequent, and hugs are unlimited. Walks consist of around the neighborhood blocks and to smaller neighborhood parks. On weekends we'll usually go to the bigger parks - Baxter woods is a favorite and summer might see longer hikes. If your pup is as great at scaling the tallest of hills, he or she will come with us! Dogs are not caged in our home, but I can diaper them if there might be some incontinence issues. If you train them to be crated, they can be crated if they are more comfortable that way. Kongs, treats, and extra kibble is available. My work schedule is fairly flexible but it fluctuates every week, so we’ll communicate to make sure I can accommodate the needs of your pooch. Dogs are free to roam in my home and I try my best to mimic their home schedule. Dogs go out 4x a day, twice on walks and twice for breaks.
