“Andy has been walking my dog fairly regularly for over 6 months now and I can’t recommend him enough. He is always timely in his response and communicates very clearly. I would recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a loving and responsible dog walker.”

“Trevor went above and beyond while caring for my pups! He was patient, attentive, and made sure they were comfortable and happy the entire time I was away. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!”

“Alejandro has been a life saver the last month I’ve been unable to walk my fur baby. He’s prompt, communicates great (I’ve made a few errors in my bookings and easily corrected), and my dog loves him! Alejandro takes my pup on a good 30 minute survey of the neighborhood, often taking many, many pee breaks to make sure he’s left his mark. Thankful for Alejandro’s patience.”

“Tiffany has done a great job with Madison! She is very responsive and checks in often. He looks forward to his walks and tlc time with her. Tiffany has been very flexible and patient with Madx especially since he has had a slight muscle injury and sometimes needs a modified walk. Would book again and again!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine it any other way. I’ve had pets since I was born and grew up with dogs, always taking an active role in their care—feeding, bathing, walking, running with them, and, most importantly, loving them. Over the years, I’ve also cared for pets belonging to neighbors, friends, and siblings while they were out of town, giving me experience with a wide range of routines and personalities. Although I couldn’t have cats growing up due to allergies in my household, I’ve always loved them and spent lots of time with friends’ and neighbors’ cats, frequently cat‑sitting whenever I had the chance. These experiences helped me learn to respect and understand cats’ boundaries and individual comfort levels. During undergrad, I adopted my first cat, and after moving to Portland, Maine, I welcomed a second so my older cat could have a companion. Living with cats has given me a deep appreciation for their unique personalities and needs. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including pets with special diets, medications, medical needs, or shy personalities. I understand that every pet is different, and I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress‑free as possible. While you’re away, you can also expect plenty of photo updates, because I know how reassuring it is to see how your furry family member is doing. I work completely remotely as a Communications Specialist for The American Chestnut Foundation, which gives me a great deal of flexibility in my day‑to‑day schedule. Because of this, I’m able to plan my work around pet care needs and be present and attentive throughout the day. I’m comfortable working alongside pets and spending extended time with them, whether that means keeping a cat company, being around for a dog who doesn’t like being alone, or making sure medications, walks, and meals happen right on schedule. I’m happy to accommodate whatever routine your pet is used to. You can expect consistent care, plenty of attention, and lots of updates while you’re away. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable and able to stick to their normal routines. I find this helps reduce stress and allows me to give more personalized, attentive care. While in your home, I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and quiet companionship. I’m comfortable spending extended time with pets, including working remotely while keeping them company if that’s helpful for your pet. I also make sure your home is treated with respect and left just as I found it. For dogs, I’m happy to take them on walks in your neighborhood or nearby outdoor areas, following any preferences you have for routes, pacing, or training needs. My goal is to provide safe, consistent, and loving care that fits seamlessly into your pet’s daily life.
“Katey was fantastic. Our dog is anxious around new people and she made her feel very comfortable. Highly recommend! Responsive and great experience with animals.”

“Matt was great! He was communicative from the meet and greet through a full week of 2x day walks, he always provided an update on how things were going. He was caring and patient with my dog and punctual for all walks! Thank you Matt!”

“Jesika was such a huge help, always showed up with a smile, my puppy was overjoyed to see her and she was very communicative through our time. Would definitely hire her again.”

“Megan was able to make a time work before her job which was much appreciated. Our pup was well taken care of, and enjoyed the much needed time to stretch his legs!”

“I am very grateful for Katherine! My 15yo son who usually walks our dog woke up this morning with a very sore throat and not feeling well. Katherine responded quickly and agreed to walk Duke on very short notice. She arrived on time and was so nice. I definitely would ask her walk Duke in the future.”

“Thank you for taking the time for a meet & greet before we confirmed dog walking. Leo and I both appreciate the care you provide for him and the prompt responses when coordinating times for dog walks”

About: I am a "retired" (career change) veterinary nurse with over 7 years of professional experience, along with 25 years of personal experience caring for creatures of all shapes and sizes. I am comfortable taking care of your furry family members of any age, or health status. I can easily and happily draw up and administer medications orally, or by injection. I have experience handling cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, and horses. I have my own special needs elderly kitty, which means I completely understand how important routines are for them. I can comfortably walk your dogs of any size, but any dog over 65lbs must be well behaved on a leash. I will keep you up to date with photos and updates of your fur baby while you're out of town. I am reliable, and easily reachable. I will provide you and your pets with the highest standard of care. I currently work full time Monday through Friday 8-4:30, but I work from home 3 days a week and can provide potty breaks and walks on my lunch breaks on those days, as well as visits before and after work if need be. All pet care will take place in your home, as I do not have the room or pets that are comfortable with others coming into their home. This also limits the amount of stress your loved one goes through during this time.
“Meagan is awesome! She was so excited to meet Knox the first time and went above and beyond with him on their walks! We really appreciated the pictures and notes from their time together. Meagan also shows up promptly and left me with a tired and happy puppy! Highly recommend!”

I am very grateful for Katherine! My 15yo son who usually walks our dog woke up this morning with a very sore throat and not feeling well. Such a relief finding Elise! With recently moving to Portland, I wanted to make sure I found a sitter who was both experienced and attentive—and she exceeded expectations. She’s calm, confident and incredibly thoughtful in her approach, taking the time to understand Sable’s routine, preferences and personality. It’s clear she tailors her care to each dog, and I really value the flexibility she brings to meeting Sable’s specific needs.

Love, live, live how Burt gets so excited when I ask him “Is your girl Brooke coming today?” He does circles and runs to the door to look out for her! Brooke has done an amazing job working with Burt in the mornings. He comes back more relaxed after a good long walk or run in the with Brooke. Brooke communicates well for bookings and when changes need to be made. I highly recommend for your dog walking needs. Of course after she visits us :)
