About: I’ve taken care of many dogs throughout my life. From simple bathroom trips to dog sitting a couple weeks. Always cautious when bringing pets into new situations. I have a pretty open schedule right now so I’m welcoming all bookings. If there is a scheduling conflict I will let you know right away. I cannot watch dogs in my apartment but I can have cats. I can take the dogs for walks and play with them at your home

Claudia M.
About: I've taken care of dogs for at least 7 years, both in my home as a family pet (washing, walking, playing, feeding), and taking care of I work a flexible schedule in-between 7-3 or 9-5, which means depending on your needs I can walk your dog in the mornings, lunch times, afternoon, or evenings. I'm available to house sit after 3PM on weekdays, Saturday Mornings, and all day on Sundays. A healthy, active ,and mentally stimulated dog is a happy dog. I plan to keep them entertained by playing with their approved toys only, and only feeding them their own treats and meals. I believe its critical to be aware that some dogs can have hypersensitivities. When being out in public; at the park or walking on the street it is critical to be aware of possible safety concerns, overall surroundings, and how the dog I am caring for may react to them.

Sydney J.
“Sydney has taken care of many of our animals over the last few years, including our Dalmatian and my parent’s Black Lab. She is great with high and medium energy dogs. She’s also a fantastic cat mom, and can shower any feline with love. We can’t recommend her enough!”

Julia G.

“Julia is absolutely the best! We met for a meet and greet beforehand and my dog instantly fell in love and was comfortable with her. She sends detailed updates and photos during their walks. I know my pup is in great hands which puts my mind to ease. Super thankful to have found her on Rover and would highly recommend her to others”

Rodger H.

“Rodger was great with our two dogs. He took them on long walks with different routes each time. He showed patience with our rescue which is greatly appreciated, will definitely book again!”

Lisa N.
“Lisa, my rescue 5-year-old corgi-Jack Russell, and I were housemates for a few months, so I saw her love and care of dogs daily. She was always very careful, kind, and attentive to Spock, even when she was working from home. She was solicitous, refilling his water bowl when it got low and I didn't notice, and a confident loose leash dog walker when she'd offer to take Spock out. She'd always check with me if he could have treats, and did basic obedience with Spock when dishing out the cookies (sit, lie down, etc.). When we'd go for walks-- and Lisa walks a lot, a higher energy pooch's dream parent!-- she was always patient with Spock's frequent marking and sniffing stops, and she kept an eye out for potential chewing/choking hazards (dead crabs! deer scat!) on the sidewalks and trails. I was always shocked and delighted that even when Lisa was in a hurry to get somewhere, she'd dash across the street to give my neighbor's 1 year old Golden Retriever, Lucky, some playtime and belly rubs, since he's frequently out in his Invisible Fence looking lonely. Lisa is also a regular pet sitter for two of her friends’ dogs up the coast and talks of both of them fondly. She’s an amazing pet caregiver to dogs of all shapes and sizes and is also familiar with cat-dog siblingships from her many years with a big dog and two cats. Although I didn't know Lisa when she had Bella, the beloved golden/lab mix and Good Girl who passed away two years ago after a good long life since puppyhood with Lisa, I've been fortunate to hear many stories about Bella's upbringing and life with Lisa, and privy to the videos and photos Lisa made of Bella and keeps on her phone and prominently displayed in her home. Bella was introduced to neighborhood dogs, cats, and humans, and greatly beloved by all, so much so the neighbors had a framed photo of Bella in their hallway! I credit some of this to Lisa being a doting, responsible, and generous dog mom. Lisa was so devoted to Bella that she contracted integrative medicine practitioners in addition to conventional veterinary care to ease Bella's pain when she got sick and help her to have the best end of life possible. Trading stories about obedience school, crate training, potty training, food and treat types, grooming, and daily life with Bella compared to my own rescue dog, I'm completely convinced Lisa is a caring, responsive caregiver who builds in plenty of structure, healthy boundaries, socialization, play, love, and snuggle space using her years of knowledge. Lisa is a bona fide dog person who understands safety and love. She would have done anything for Bella from 8 weeks old to her end and beyond, and I'm sure will do anything to build the best, healthiest, longest life for the next dog who comes into her life through Rover or otherwise.”

Aaron R.

“Aaron took great care of Daisy for a full week. He was quick to communicate if something seemed off with her and I knew she was in great hands!”

Chad P. & Amy W.

“You take such beautiful pictures, with or without the dog 🐶”

Jayson M.

“Jayson was incredibly communicative and great to work with. He helped us out with walking our pitbull, Stan, in the midst of a very busy work week. We will be using Jayson again!!”

Bryan R.

“Communication with Bryon was excellent. To us this is important and it extends to the dogs🐕🦺🦮!”

Sarah S.

“Sarah is amazing! So good with my pup and always takes the best pictures of her on their daily walks, which I really enjoy. She knows a lot about dogs and has given me lots of tips! It’s so nice to go to work and not have to worry about my “child!” Don’t hesitate to book her!”

Michelle A.
“Michelle has taken care of our Shepherd Mix multiple times while we have been away. She is knowledgeable of dogs and very reliable. She asked all the right questions and we have always felt comfortable leaving our Boy in her care. Michelle would send a photo at every visit and ask if we needed anything done while she was there. She was very protective during walks, and went above and beyond in the home. When we would get home, our house always looked better than we left it. You will not be sorry choosing Michelle for dog walking and visits!”

Erin G.

“Erin is really helpful and responsible. She takes a great care of my dog and my dog absolutely likes her. I will recommend her to anyone who needs pet sitting!”

Nishat R.
“First she genuinely is a beautiful person inside and out, literally. She’s also a very gentle person so you don’t have to worry about pets, they are in great handles. Not to brag about my friend, but she’s currently in the process of applying to med school. As you can imagine she’s very smart, organized and extremely caring. She took care of my dogs and cats multiple times and always sent cute pictures of them. She loves animals and the animals can definitely feel it. The animals also always miss her when she’s gone. Nishat’s a gem.”

Jacqueline M.

“Jacqueline was so thoughtful and sweet with The Professor. I’m sure he was a little nervous on his first day in a new city, but she took him exploring South Portland, even dried him off after the rain and gave him his peanut butter Kong to tuck him in. Thank you!”

Terra B.
“As someone with a special needs dog, I'm happy that I found Terra to care for him. He can be pretty difficult to walk due to his reactivity and size but when I leave him in Terra's hands I don't worry because I know that they'll keep him safe as well as others. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”

Jennifer D.
“Jen has been a pet sitter for me on a number of occasions and is absolutely fantastic! I have both a dog and a cat, and Jen has showered them both with cuddles, love, and treats while ensuring they are well cared for on all fronts. My dog has some on and off health issues, so I'm always a little bit nervous leaving him. However, Jen has proven time and time again she is worth the trust and does wonders to ease those nerves!”

Colleen F.
“Colleen took care of our Amazon parrot and Maine Coon cat while we were out of the country. Our original sitters had a last minute emergency. Colleen graciously accepted the position. She was a wonderful communicator and took the utmost responsibility and care of our pets. She took care of them like they were her own with personal attention and consideration. She was sensitive to our concerns for their well being....so much so that she picked us up at the airport so we could not waste a moment getting back to them. Colleen will take great care of your furry friends.”
