11. Aaron C.
About: - LVT | Licensed Veterinary Technician - CPDT-KSA | Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge and Skills Assessed - CPACO | Certified Professional Animal Care Operator *Grooming now available - more info at the bottom* I have worked with animals for almost two decades in shelters and emergency veterinary hospitals. Now I strive to provide the best pet care service you can find! My home, in the Parkside neighborhood of Portland, is a dog’s dream. I’ve worked hard to engineer my space to be the ultimate dog retreat to ensure your furry family members are not just cared for… here they will thrive! -Private, secure high fence (8’) backyard with locked gate and full security camera coverage (including in home as well) -Training reinforcement and advice done and given freely if requested. -Medication administration (including injectable) free if needed -Frequent walks, barring any health restrictions - Easy drop-offs; just bring their food. I’ve got leashes, bowls, toys, treats, poop bags, etc. - Flexible scheduling: this is what I do, and I’m here 99% of the time. Be late or early… I’ll work around your needs, so this is the last thing you can be worried about while you’re away! I don't currently have any pets of my own. My best friend- my first and only dog Fizban the Fabulous- passed just over a year ago from cancer. I am not ready for my next companion yet, but I fill that void by caring for yours. The hardest part is when they go home, but it's also a happy moment because I know they're going back to where they belong. GROOMING: Select the bath option, and your canine companion will come home fluffy and clean. I use high-quality shampoos and conditioners and use quality tools like the Furminator to deshed, brush, wash, and condition your dog so they come back fresh and clean! Puppy products are specifically used for puppies, and all products are free of nasty crap that doesn't belong anywhere near your dog. Nails are done as well, either clipping or grinding. Let me know your preference! My day revolves around caring for your pets—they are my routine! My favorite part of the day is waking up and sitting on the porch, hanging out with the furry friend you've left in my care, and enjoying a hot cup of coffee while they watch the squirrels traipse around the trees overlooking my backyard. I'm starting a new business, and much of my day is filled with planning and creating. Your furry friend helps me by being a muse and a source of calm. I help them by providing care, guidance, and support while you're away. It's a symbiotic relationship invaluable to me and, I hope, also to them. As a licensed tech and certified dog trainer, I know how to create a safe and enriching environment for your furry friend… canine and feline! I can identify medical issues early, should they develop, and provide care as needed. I also know when to take appropriate steps to escalate and will always err on caution. I will treat them with the same level of care that I would my pet. No temperament or need is too extreme, and in almost two decades of veterinary work, I have never been injured, even when dealing with some of the most fractious pets you can encounter. When accepting a booking, I consider temperaments, age, development, and needs. I will never put money before safety. If I have a fractious pet in my care, I will only care for that pet and not accept other bookings during that period. Please be aware there is a surcharge for this exclusivity as it does have a financial impact. Intuition, experience, and love go into every stay, and I strive to provide the best possible experience for you and your furry family member(s) you leave in my care. My rules are your rules. I will reinforce the behaviors you're trying to encourage. This won't be an Uncle Aaron situation, where they come to me for candy and go home to you for discipline. Consistency is critical in their growth and development, so they must hear and feel the same message with me as they do with you.
12. Amanda L.
“Amanda has been a lifesaver walking my fur baby 1-2 walks/day for 2 weeks now. She goes above and beyond to give my anxious-when-alone-pup so much love and attention while I am working long shifts. She gives great updates on how he is doing, and is so thoughtful and attuned to what he needs. Every night I come home to a happy and not anxious pup, which is such a comfort! So thankful my furbabe and I found her when we are new in town!”
13. Carla V.
“I met Carla V in the fall of 2021. At the time she lived in walking distance from my home. Since I was new to the neighborhood and having no family living close by, I asked Carla if she would watch my dog while I was away for a week. Bo, my newly acquired dog at the time, was a rescue from Georgia. He was not an easy dog to care for. Bo is a mixed breed off Border Collie, some field bred hunter species and Pit, but very loving. He had just turned three when I got him in 2020, and although weighing only 50 pounds, was pure muscle and needed an assertive exercise program. Also, because he had harsh beginnings in Georgia, I needed to leave him with someone I could 1) trust, 2) was comfortable with rescue dogs (her sister was a trainer), and 3) was a firm, but very caring, handler. Bo loves Carla and, to date, she has stayed with him several times. Carla is not just a dog sitter, she’s a surrogate “dog-mom” to Bo.”
14. Lindsay W.
“Lindsay did an awesome job with Fritter! She was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Fritter loves her and had a great time! We will be booking Lindsay again the next time we need someone to take Fritter on a walk.”
15. Jaden M.
“Jaden was awesome would use again!”
16. Adrian A.
“I can't recommend Adrian enough as a pet sitter and walker! She has taken exceptional care of my two big dogs, treating them with so much love and attention. She genuinely cares so much about animals big and small, of all kinds. She always keeps me updated with photos and messages, and gives extra time and attention to our animals like they were her own. My dogs absolutely adore her and are always excited to see her. If you're looking for someone reliable, knowledgable, and compassionate to care for your pets, Adrian is the perfect choice!”
17. Daniel W.
“First time stranger walk for Walter and first time using Rover and Daniel did not disappoint. Friendly and affectionate to our pup, he took our fluffernutter on an hour long walk. He even got our pooch a water when it seemed he was thirsty because I forgot to pack one. Thank you Daniel! Will be using you again, I’m sure.”
