âMadeleine was a wonderful sitter for my little pup! Rusty really liked her right from their first meeting. She stayed at my house which was perfect because Rusty is used to someone being home all the time. When I returned, the house was exactly the way I left it. I would highly recommend Madeleine for per/house sitting!â

âElise was so caring and supportive of our pup, Juniper! She provided us with really lovely photos and updates, and clearly made Juniper feel safe and loved. We highly recommend her!â

âNishat was very accommodating considering we kept on changing the plan for the time we were leaving the day she was coming. She always takes great care of our animals!â

âKendra did a wonderful job of taking care of our two dogs. She was great at exercising and playing with our energetic 2 year old Great Dane while also giving our 13 year old dog a lot of attention as well. She took really good care of our home while she stayed with the dogs and communicated with us during the weekend. I would definitely recommend her!â
âMegan was our house sitter and cared for our two dogs and a cat for a long weekend. She was great - the puppies and kitty were well cared for and the house was perfect when we got home. Everyone was happy. đ Weâll ask Megan to come back again. Thanks!â

âSergey was terrific! He came by to meet our dog before the pet sitting appointment and was very patient and caring. He was on time and dependable. If we visit Portland again we will definitely ask for him to pet sit our dog again.â

âJamie was a fantastic sitter for my dog Oscar. She will be my go to from this point forward. She was communicative from the point of inquiry through until the end of the booking. She sent regular updates with photos and was happy to respond to any inquiries in between updates. She was respectful of our home and I came back to a well exercised and relaxed pup! It is difficult to trust someone with your animal but Jamie definitely has both mine and Oscars! We can't wait to use her services again!â

âJay stayed with my dog Lucy while I went on a business trip across the country and she was so wonderful with my sweet old girl. She was very curious about Lucyâs needs and communicated with me and shared some pictures along the way. I came home to a happy dog and Iâm so grateful to Jay for taking such good care of her!â

About: I bring a high level of experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Iâm comfortable handling everything from structured walks and feeding schedules to medications and special care needs. My goal is always the same: dependable care, clear communication, and a happy, well-cared-for dog. Working from home allows me to offer flexible scheduling and near constant supervision, ensuring that your dog receives attentive, reliable care and plenty of interaction. I prioritize safety, consistency, and a calm environment in every aspect of care. I closely follow each dogâs routine, including feeding instructions, walk preferences, and any special needs. My home is clean, dog safe, and supervised throughout the day, and when caring for pets in a clientâs home, I respect their space and maintain the same level of attentiveness. I always use secure leashes, monitor interactions carefully, and communicate regularly with updates for peace of mind.
âOur boys had another awesome stay with Viva!!! She takes such wonderful care of them at our home and always sends plenty of updates and pictures! Thank you!â

About: I have been working with cats and dogs professionally for over 15 years, including as a full time walker and sitter, as a daycare group leader, as management for a dog walking company, and as a kennel attendant in 4 different boarding facilities. I have managed groups of dogs and been tasked with training new employees on dog body language, aggression, and group play safety. I have worked with aggressive dogs, fearful dogs, reactive dogs, as well as puppies, seniors, and dogs with disabilities. Animals are my life and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else! I am a full time dog walker and sitter, so all days of the week are available and I am open for the holidays. Send me a message and we will go from there! I will leave your home exactly as I found it or better, I always plan to take out the trash on the last day of a pet sitting job and I will follow your instructions carefully about waste bags and house rules. I understand I am a guest in your space and I always take that seriously!
âBret accepted our short notice booking and stopped by for a meet & greet before we headed out for a weekend trip, which was great. Our pets are currently pretty low maintenance but it was important for us to have someone stay the weekend while we had some R&R. Weâd have Bret back on a future vacation.â
âI would recommend Amy for your house and pet sitting needs. Amy house sat for us over a long weekend and took care of our dogs, cats, and fish. She followed our instructions and was very communicative. Everything was in order when we returned and pets were happy. Thanks, Amy!â

About: I've spent all 20 years of my life around animals of all kind, but I have always had a special connection with dogs. It's hard being away from my family puppy, Milo, as I'm at college, so Rover allows me to get my dog time in while also helping those who need extra help with their furry family members. I have good experience with training and exercising, but I also do love a good rest and chill day. Whatever your pup needs, I can accommodate. I am most frequently available on weekends; almost every single weekend I am free to devote the day to you and your dog's needs. That being said, I can always make time every single day of the week. Each pup requires a different kind of care. Whether it's a long walk, stimulating games like hide and seek, fundamental training, or just somebody to relax with at home, I will be my my goal and my honor to fulfill your pets needs at the highest of my capabilities; and to have fun doing so!
âJeanelle took great care of our girl Gretchen while we were out of town for a few days. Very communicative with us and attentive to our pup. Highly recommend!â

âLeighana was great! My dog's loved having her at the house. She communicated with me just the way I wanted. We all are looking forward to having her here again!â

âYiran took great care of our dog Trudy! She sent us lots of updates, asked questions as needed, and we could trust that Trudy was in good hands with her.â

Valley Street pet parents share their Rover experiences
Ashton was a great sitter for our dog and cat while we traveled out of town for a few days. My dog can be a bit anxious so itâs always a bit nerve wrecking leaving her with someone else but Ashton was up for the challenge and my anxious girl warmed right up to her. She even made an extra trip over during the day when my dog was having a little bit of a panic moment. Will definitely use her again!

Savannah was amazing with Darla while I was at a conference. This was my first time using Rover and Savannah made it completely stress-free. She sent daily pictures, and every one showed Darla totally relaxed and snuggled up â clearly living her best life. đ It meant so much to see how comfortable and happy Darla was. Savannah is caring, reliable, and just has a natural way with cats. I will absolutely be booking her again and highly recommend her!

Megan provided excellent overnight care at our home for our two German Shepherds while we were away on a short vacation. She provided us with delightful daily photos of the dogs enjoying their walks and her loving care of them. She was a very considerate houseguest and cared for our home as if it were her own. We are grateful for her service and would be eager to engage her outstanding service again in the future.

Our dog Midi is 12 years old, is blind, has some mobility issues, and is mostly deaf. She can be very particular in her needs for care because of this. Viva was absolutely an angel caring for midi and was very careful with all of her needs. She communicated with us throughout the pet sitting and the best part was she treated our dog with so much love and care.

Bryan has housesat for us multiple times and is just incredible with our dog. He sends updates regularly so we always feel like we are in the know. Our dog is usually very shy of others but she loves him. Bryan is excellent and we are so grateful to him for all he has done for us!

Meagan was great!- she saved me from a travel nightmare when i lost my petsitter due to airline cancellations & rebooking. She accommodated my schedule last-minute, had no problem administering meds to my hyperthyroid cat (and didnât blink at my 3+ page pet-sitting instructions, which have gotten embarrassingly long & detailed), & endured all of my anxiety and (likely too frequent & annoying) check ins & inquiries about their welfare while I was away with good humor & kindness. The cats seemed happy & calm when i returned after a week away, which is all I really care about!- but she also was very respectful of my home, leaving everything clean & in order, even washing the linens & towels (which I consider above & beyond, but is certainly appreciated)! I will definitely seek out Meaganâs assistance with my kitties again, & absolutely recommend her to anyone in & around Portland looking for trusted help with their pets đâ¤ď¸đąđąâ¤ď¸

Cleo appreciated all the love and attention and I appreciated how dedicated Beth was (making sure Cleo had her meds on time as well as lots of love while I was away). She was super flexible when my plans changed and went above and beyond to look out for Cleo.
