Pet care experience

Anxious-Pet Friendly Remote Worker

I’m a lifelong pet parent with a soft spot for shy, anxious, or older pets who need a little extra patience. Over the years, I’ve cared for everything from wiggly puppies to senior dogs, cats, chickens, and more. I started pet sitting back in college and grad school, took a break while raising kids and loving my own bulldog-boxer mix, and now I’m back to it. Since I work fully remotely, I’m home most of the day to keep your pets company, stick to their routines, and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Note that depending on schedule, my soon-to-be-10 daughter (not loud and crazy) may be with me. I do my best to schedule first sits on dates she's with her other parent, but if having my kiddo with me is something that won't work for you, I understand--it's important to find a great fit on both sides!

Safety, trust & environment

I’m tidy, mature, non-smoking, and a middle-aged mom who would rather balance my budget than have a party. You can relax knowing I’ll treat your home with care, your pets will get the same attention and affection I give my own, and your space will be as clean (or cleaner!) when you return. I’m fully insured, background-checked, and have never had a single client complaint—and I plan to keep it that way.

Lynne was absolutely wonderful while housesitting for our very picky and high needs cat. I had zero worries while we were away and Winnie was treated like the princess she thinks she is. Highly, highly recommend Lynne for your pet sitting needs!

Lynn is a great communicator, and she follows through on m many detailed instructions (medications, treats, dog habits). I can relax when Gus is with Lynn since I know she is capable, kind and responsible.

Lynne is amazing! I just went away for the first time in 5 years and she took wonderful care of my dog. He is on multiple medications, has food allergies, & we are extremely attached to each other. I had no doubt he was getting the attention & luv he needed. I will definitely be rebooking with Lynne.

Lynne did everything I asked for which is a lot. I’m very particular about what is best for my dog, Gus. Lynne walked him, socialized with him, played with him, and kept her eye on him. In addition, she sent me photos and remarks, and when she left, she cleaned sheets, took out garbage, and ran the dishwasher. She was amazing.

Schedule

Whether you’re heading out for the afternoon or a few weeks, I’m here to give your pets consistent care and company. Because I work from home, I’m with them essentially all day and night—plenty of time for walks, playtime, and snuggles, and never long stretches alone. Occasionally, my calm, animal-savvy nearly-10-year-old joins me (with your advance permission). She’s quiet, respectful, and skilled at putting even “not sure about kids” pets at ease by giving them space and reading their signals. Your preferences come first: if you’d rather no kids, I’ll only book when she’s with her other parent. I also generally prefer not to bring her on a first sit, so I can focus on getting to know your pet(s) and their needs.

I like to know everything about your pet before we start: what makes their tail wag, what sends them under the couch, their favorite napping spots, and any “absolutely nots” in your house (beds, treats, squirrel chases…). If they’re shy or anxious, I’ll give them the patience and space they need; if they’re super playful, point me to the toy bin. No detail is too small—knowing their quirks just makes me better at caring for them like they’re my own. I ask that you let me know in advance if there are any guns in the home for everyone’s safety, and if there are any video cameras (some of my work calls contain confidential information).
