Hi There! Besides growing up with many animals in my household in Maine, along with working on a farm, I have experience working in a kennel for over 3 years (covered all duties) and can handle any dog breed/ type. I have experience with all temperaments and can administer medicine/ special requests. Currently, I have been dog-sitting for multiple families for the past 5 years in NY (from a Yorkie to a Pit Bull) and can easily provide references. I consider myself very dependable and responsible which I'm sure references would agree with. I'm willing to help in anyway I can, no matter how special the request is. We have hired Lizzie a couple of times to dog-sit our two dogs in our home. She was wonderful with my senior dog who was a very picky eater and would turn her nose up to she was given anything less than a Michelin fiver star meal! On one occasion, that same dog needed eye drops while we were away. Lizzie did a great job making it as stress free as possible for a dog that would tuck her head or walk away as soon as the bottle appeared. We unfortunately had to put her down just days before we were scheduled to leave for a short overnight out of town. Lizzie did a great job loving on our surviving doggo who was a little lost without her big sister. I recommend Lizzie and will happily rebook her services in the future without reservation.
Lizzy has cared for my pups in my home on two occasions. One was a long weekend and the other was a full week. She did a wonderful job caring for my 13 yr old and six yr old dogs. My older pup is on a couple different meds on a daily basis and just so happened to need eye drops twice daily the entire week Lizzy was caring for her. Lizzy was unfazed when I told her about the eye drop situation. She confidently explained that it wouldn’t be a problem. Lizzy was communicative throughout her stay and reached out when there was a change in my older dog’s health presentation. She left my home in great shape - paying attention to leaving the space the way she found it. I recommend Lizzy as a dog sitter. I would definitely hire her again in the future.
