“Marna was super responsive and took really good care of my 11-year-old cat while I was away for 5 days. I really appreciated that I was able to book pretty last minute and my cat seemed happy and healthy when I got back. That’s all I can ask for!”

“Trevor has watched our cats, Mira and Wren, twice and he’s been fantastic every time. He’s super responsive with messages, sends adorable photo updates, and takes the time to play with them and keep them comfortable. Thank you so much Trevor!”

“Muriel was excellent! She took extra time and care to make sure each of our three cats was eating well despite them being prone to hiding/being shy. We got pictures every day and felt at ease with them in her care!”

About: We lost our shih tzu last year after 14 years, and I miss having a dog. I also cared for 2 dogs for years before having my own. Now I’m enjoying helping others care for their dogs like my own! I work full time but have flexibility during the day. My kids are out of the house now so I’m available as needed to care for your pet. I’d prefer to care for your pet in your home as that’s where they’re more comfortable. I’ll take your lead in how they like to be cared for but I love to cuddle if they like that, or not.
“Madeleine was great with my golden Layla! I sent a last minute booking and she was very timely with her response to my rover request and followed all instructions given!”

“Sera was amazing!! She watched my cat for three weeks while I was on vacation, she was very thoughtful and attentive and my cat loved her! She always sent lots of cute pictures and updates for each visit, which I really appreciated. My cat has asthma and needs an inhaler and Sera was very open to and did a great job learning how to give the inhaler! She left my apartment very neat and I came back to a happy cat, would absolutely recommend Sera as a cat sitter!!”

About: I'm a fun-(and dog)-loving person who has been taking care of dogs (and various animals!) for my whole life. I've watched homes and animals of my neighbors, professors and friends. I understand the importance of love and care for animals, and how even just a walk can make a huge difference in the life of a dog. I've cherished my life with dogs and LOVE squishy dog faces. There's nothing better than walking into a home and being greeted by a drooling, furry friend who loves you for you (and definitely not just your treats). I've also done housekeeping, so if there's any picking up you need me to do while you're out of town, I'm happy to! Thanks so much for your time (and your dedication to your pets!). I currently work full-time, but have the ability to make my schedule flexible. My husband works from home and is able to do frequent walks/potty breaks if your pup is staying with us. I am as well - just usually in the afternoons around 2-3pm. On weekends, we are completely flexible as we try to keep them free of any scheduled activities! We have a fenced in yard to keep our pup safe as well as any guest dogs. We can definitely crate your pet as well if they find comfort in their little den. We are open to discuss any needs you/your pet might have!
“Katey is an all star! Even when a health complication for our cat occurred right before we left for vacation she was able to help us handle it. We returned to 2 happy kitties.”

“Rachel was awesome! She went above and beyond to ensure our pup was cared for and exercised. Her understanding of our dogs needs, and communication of her visits back to us was top tier. We would highly recommend Rachel to anyone to handle their pet!”

About: I’m a lifelong pet owner and caregiver with experience across a wide range of animals. Dogs have always been at the heart of my life—I currently own a senior dog named Ralphie, and my last four dogs were all adopted as seniors. I’m very comfortable with walking, feeding, administering medications, and following detailed care routines, especially for older pets. I also grew up in an extremely pet-centric household. At one point, my family cared for five dogs and four cats at the same time, so I’m very familiar with busy, multi-pet environments and the structure required to keep everyone healthy and happy. Beyond dogs and cats, I’ve helped care for fish (both freshwater and saltwater), reptiles and lizards, rodents, and birds, and I understand that each species has unique needs, routines, and sensitivities. I’m calm, attentive, and respectful of the fact that pet parents care deeply about how their animals are treated. My goal is simple: provide reliable, thoughtful care so your pets feel safe and comfortable—and you feel confident while you’re away. Please note that I also carry liability insurance above and beyond what is already offered under Rover’s guarantee policy. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m currently in between jobs, which gives me open and flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, and consistent care throughout the day. I enjoy building my schedule around pets’ routines rather than squeezing them into limited windows. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits, as well as last-minute requests when needed. I value reliability and consistency, and I like knowing I can give pets my full attention without rushing. When caring for pets, I work exclusively in my client’s home, where pets are most comfortable and routines stay consistent. I follow all instructions closely regarding feeding, walking, medications, and household rules, and I’m very mindful of maintaining your space exactly as you left it. Safety is my top priority. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, and harnesses are secure, double-check medications and feeding instructions, and remain attentive to any changes in behavior or health. I take a calm, respectful approach—especially with senior pets or animals who may be anxious or shy. I understand that trust is essential when someone is caring for your pet in your home. I communicate clearly, provide updates as requested, and treat both your pet and your space with care, responsibility, and respect.
“Jess took great care of my 2 kitties when I was away. I got a daily photo with a cute snuggle picture of my friendly cat. It felt good to know they were so well cared for.”

“Justine was fabulous with our cats and we will definitely request her again! Our shyest kitty warmed up in record time. She kept us up to date and was proactive with packages and such. 10/10!”

“Melissa went above and beyond to take care of my dog while I was out of town. She drove to my house during a storm to make sure my dog would be fed and cared for. She was also great with communicating with me, which I really appreciated. I would definitely choose her again to take care of my dog.”

About: Willing to walk most nights a week Worked with large dogs (mainly Great Danes) Have worked with a reactive dog (Family Pet) Dog was reactive on lease with other dogs. When walking I had to be very aware of other dogs that were around and had to be able to move quick when I did see a dog also had treats to distract him from the other dogs. Any time after 4:00 on weekdays due to other job Saturdays: 7 AM - 10 AM and 6:30 PM - 9 PM Sundays: All Day I care for my parents dog and love him very much, when I watch him we usually will hang out in the house or go to the dog park because that is where my parents take him. When I watch someone else dog I like to follow their rules and listen to what they are asking of me. I have watched my sister's dog who is reactive and when watching him I have made sure that I am aware of what he is doing, what I am doing and what is around me. Personally I don't think that the way I care for my parents and families pets would be different from a clients because all pets should be loved!
“Melissa was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to take the best care of my boys. She's very responsive, compassionate, and responsible. I highly recommend her!”
“Anna was so wonderful. She watched our cat while we went away for the 4th of July. She was incredibly communicative and sent wonderful pictures/updates. Would recommend Anna to anyone looking for a kind and reliable sitter!”
About: Been watching homes and pets for neighbors and loved ones since I was a kid, have continued to do so for acquaintances and friends of friends and have a developed a small network of folks who count me as dependable, professional, and more than competent. My schedule is currently super flexible and I can likely be available whenever you need. Longer stays or overnight stays are also easy to accommodate! Cannot currently accept any pets at my apartment, but happy to bring the dog to a park, let them out in your yard, go for a walk around the block, or just hang out inside with whichever pets need company!
North Deering pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jess is GREAT! She very quickly gained the trust of our senior and special needs dog. He is comfortable with her and benefits from her visits every week! She is punctual, trustworthy, sends updates, flexible schedule, communicates clearly and quickly, and we feel she truly loves our dog. It is very difficult to find someone who would care for your pet as you would and we are so grateful for Jess!

Muriel was very sweet with the pets and communicated really well. When a storm threatened our flight, she stayed in touch and worked around her schedule to be able to bridge the gap so that care continued until we got home. I would definitely recommend her anytime.
Sera was amazing!! She left my apartment very neat and I came back to a happy cat, would absolutely recommend Sera as a cat sitter!!

Hannah was such a sweet babysitter for our cats. She was on time to do a meet and greet the week before, and let us add on extra days to accommodate our travel. She took lots of pictures of our cats and seemed like she played with them a bit during her visits. I highly recommend her service and will book with her again!

Andrew did a fantastic job of taking care of our dog while we were away. I was impressed with the time Andrew took to get to know our dog so he could take the best possible care of him. His communication is excellent, he’s very punctual, and he really knows dogs. Thank you so much, Andrew!
