“Lee is the absolute best! Firstly she is so communicative and responsive, she makes all of the logistics so easy. Our dog is very anxious and typically very apprehensive of new environments, people and dogs - he can’t just be left with just any dog sitter - and Lee was so understanding of him and made him feel right at home. She truly understands small dogs!!”

“Great first dog sitting day for Zoe (pittie) at Michael’s. I was worried about Zoe and Michael’s dog (Delilah) getting along (Zoe is a follower who always wants to play and Delilah is an older dog), but Michael was able to allay my concerns and it appeared that D and Z did well together. Will update the review after my next dog sitting day at Michael’s this week!”

“Avis has a great time with Judith and she loves to play with her two dogs.”

“Sung's family treats Angel as part of their lovely family. She clearly loves each stay. Thanks to them, I can spend time with business and maintaining friendships.”

“Kelly has been a great caregiver for our dog, Cali! We have been using Kelly twice a week for the last few weeks and hope to continue. Our dog is super excited to be dropped off there. Our active puppy gets lots of love and attention, playtime and walks and comes home all tuckered out. Kelly is also very responsive to messages and flexible when we have had schedule changes. I strongly recommend Kelly!”

“Brayden and Noel took great care of my dog. She can be shy and anxious with new people, and they were very skillful and patient with her. Their communication is great too. I always get a prompt response from them. I highly recommend them.”

“Excellent care ! Chad is very friendly and knowledgeable. He has a big house with a huge backyard. When I arrived for pick up, my dog was sleeping on the couch. Comfortable and safe. Thank you.”

About: I've had dogs and pets in some capacity or another throughout my life and have loved being Sister-2-Legs to each of my four-legged siblings. I have cared for a variety of animals from young to old, mostly cats and dogs, a bird, and a few rabbits. More recently, it's been a mix of senior dogs and puppies. I'm used to balancing puppy training versus the possible complex needs of senior dogs. My own sweet spaniel passed last year, and he lost both his sight and his hearing as he aged, which presented a few challenges but was a very valuable learning experience. I'm comfortable with all ages and stages of life and love spoiling every single furred family member I care for. I adapt my schedule around your pet's needs and routines. Please message me for schedule details. I may be able to offer drop-ins, walks, or daycare either in your home or at my doggy daycare outside of the time slots listed. Daycare: My yard is fully fenced with a grass area for all kinds of running and toy play time. Everyone is welcome to sprawl out on the furniture both indoors and outside. Your dog is given as much attention and love as if they were my own. I look forward to welcoming new furry friends! Housesitting: My preference for my animals has always been to keep them in their home environment where they feel the most safe and secure. I will follow all their daily routines and any other directions provided and treat their space as if it were my own. Depending on your preference, hikes, beach trips, and other special activities can be added to the daily standards of belly rubs, walkies, and cuddles. As I also have a doggy daycare, it would be great if your pets are dog-friendly and able to participate in daycare during our stay!

“Vicki has done such a great job helping my anxious dog feel relaxed and safe. She is very thoughtful and caring and really went the extra mile to make my dog comfortable.. And she takes amazing pictures!!”

About: As a dedicated and experienced pet sitter, I am passionate about providing the best care possible for all types of pups. As a specialized pet sitter for bully breeds and small dogs, I understand the unique needs and quirks of these adorable dogs. With years of experience and a deep love for all things pup, I am committed to providing the highest level of care and attention to your furry friend. Everything from numerous short walks and playtime (temperature permitting) to feeding and medication administration, you can trust me to provide reliable and compassionate care for your dog. I am dedicated to ensuring your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you're away. My home has ramps to access all furniture and gates to prevent pups from running up and down stairs to protect their spines and potential IVDD flare ups. Our morning starts off with a walk around the neighborhood, then it’s breakfast time which means training and play with positive reinforcement! Your pup then has playtime with toys and with my dog Penelope if they are up for it or can snooze away. We then take a quick walk during lunch to stretch our legs and say hi to our friends at Rocky’s. After work we love to be in nature and hit the trails or parks to get some steps in! After dinner I love nothing more than to cuddle with the pups on my couch before bed! We have an outdoor deck that the dogs always have access to. Mostly serves as a sunbathing lounge 😎. The deck is also equipped with grass patches for easy potty breaks. Your pup with have the company of my dog, Penelope. She is a playful and well behaved French bulldog. I have a robust routine for her to keep her healthy and prevent her from being affected from her predisposed IVDD. I can easily incorporate any special needs or request that your day may need.

“Chrystal took great care of Money!”

“Thank you Valerie for looking after our Biscuit. It was Biscuit first time at Daycare and you did an amazing job making it easy for Biscuit to adjust. We will be in touch again for another Daycare day soon. God bless.”

About: I have a wide range of experience with pets, ranging from the basic dogs and cats to hedgehogs, turtles and hamsters. I love them all and will care for them as if they were my own. I’m a stay at home mom who enjoys helping folks in my community care for their pets while they are away. I understand how comforting it is to have someone you can trust to take diligent care of your pet while you are gone. I will take the time to make it ‘life as normal’ for your pet while you are away. Not just rushing to get through the home check in, but giving them quality time, attention and care.

About: I have taken care of dogs for my friends for years. I love playing with them and making sure they feel safe and loved. I have had a love for dogs since I was a small child. My cousins had a dog who I loved with all my heart. I would always love throwing tennis balls for him and giving him treats (maybe to many at times 😉). I will take good care of your dog and make sure they enjoy there time with me! I am very flexible with my schedule. Most days including weekend I will be available. I currently have no jobs or part time jobs at the moment. I have a very sizable backyard for your dog to run around and feel a sense of freedom. The backyard is fully enclosed, no pet can get out. I also have plenty of areas for a dog to sleep during the night.

“Sydney was very happy with Kit. She has two friendly dogs and a beautiful home with tons of outdoor space perfectly suited for sunbathing and sniffing. Will definitely bring my pup back for a repeat visit!”

About: As a Registered Nurse with 28 years of caregiving experience, I bring a calm, attentive, and compassionate approach to pet care. I personally cared for my own beloved dog for 20 years — through every life stage — including administering medications, managing special diets, and providing gentle senior care. I’m especially comfortable with: • Senior dogs and pets with special needs • Giving oral medications and supplements • Monitoring for health or behavior changes • Maintaining consistent routines • Offering lots of love, patience, and walks! My nursing background means I’m highly observant, dependable, and focused on safety and comfort. What sets me apart is that I truly understand pets are family — and I care for them with the same heart and attention I gave to my own. My husband calls me the dog whisperer! I work from home full-time, so your pup will have plenty of attention throughout the day. My home features a fully fenced, dog-friendly backyard with a doggie door leading from the deck to the yard — perfect for safe outdoor access. I live on a quiet, flat cul-de-sac in the Oakland Hills, ideal for peaceful walks. I also enjoy visiting nearby parks and hiking trails, many within walking distance, for fresh air and exercise with furry friends I have a fenced backyard dog and currently I do not have any dogs or pets of my own for the time being. I live in a safe, quiet and peaceful area. I do not require dogs to be crated.

About: While I may be new to Rover, I am not new to caring for and providing a loving environment to dogs. I have experience with a variety of small dog breeds and have trained three puppies into mature dogs over the past 20 years. I provide caring attention and personal connection to all small to medium dog breeds. I work from home and typically start my day off with a walk to our local trail down the street. Will let my dog out again during lunch time and follow up with a longer walk after work. If I have time, I often bring her to a nearby dog park to let her run around and play with other dogs. I can easily adjust this to accommodate your dog as requested to ensure your comfort and piece of mind. As someone who once struggled to find a trustworthy dog sitter from time to time, I joined Rover because I wanted to help out other dog owners looking for a safe and secure place for their loved one to be cared for. I currently have a wonderful Cavalier King Charles at home and will care for your dog as if it is my own, weekdays or weekends. I have a small backyard and a short walk to a nice trail that can help cover any of your dog’s needs. My dog is mild mannered and will allow yours to feel comfortable at their own pace.

“This was our first visit and boarding with Ulunma and she was wonderful. She checked in with pictures, was responsive when I reached out and my pup came home happy. She was also flexible with pick-up time as we faced a snowstorm in Tahoe which was much appreciated!”

About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life, both in the Netherlands and now here. We recently had to say goodbye to our 16-year-old Molly, a Wheaten Terrier – she truly was an incredible dog. I've always loved having animals around. Every day, I used to take Molly for great hikes in the hills surrounding Moraga, and I would absolutely love to do the same for your dog. I am a retired musician and have all the time to take care of your dog. We have a big yard so the dog can go outside whenever he wants. I will also take the dog with me on my daily hikes. When I still had my own dog, she was at my side all day. She loved the hikes and driving in the car with me. I will treat your dog as if it is my own.

“I'm very happy with Alison's taking care of Dovey. It's obvious that she shows the dogs love. There's lots of room for the dogs to walk around, and there's a big backyard area for exploring. Dovey can be a little bit difficult when she's separated from her family, and Alison texted me throughout the day so we can find solutions.”

“Kit is a kind, caring, and thoughtful pet caregiver. She is very warm and attentive to pets and their needs, and has significant experience caring for cats and dogs. Kit also has experience providing care / support to sick and senior pets and always uses a gentle and careful approach. I cannot recommend Kit enough — you can definitely rely on her — whether pet sitting, engaging your pets through play and social interaction, or taking your dog on a walk.”

Luke H.
“Luke is the real deal. He likes to get down and play with the dogs. He took incredible care of our pup, showering them with love, attention, and tons of playtime. We got regular updates with photos, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Luke is reliable, kind, and clearly loves animals. Our dog was so happy and well-cared for—we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Highly recommend Luke to anyone looking for a trustworthy person to spoil their dog. If you want to add your dog’s name or any specific anecdotes about Luke’s care, let me know, and I can tailor it further!”

Daniela O.
“Daniela is amazing with dogs - especially ones with special needs. My dog Davey has pretty bad anxiety, especially in cars and around other dogs, but Daniela has a really calming presence that helps him feel safe. She’s watched him multiple times now, and every time he comes back happy and relaxed. What I really appreciate is that because she’s a full-time nurse (but works from home), she only takes one or two dogs at a time. That means she’s super attentive and gives each dog the care they need. I completely trust her with Davey and would recommend her to anyone.”

Evan S.
“I cannot recommend Evan highly enough as a dog sitter. On multiple occasions, Evan has watched over my dog, Shaggy, and the experience has been great. Shaggy absolutely adores him. He not only provides attentive care but also treats my dog as if he were his own. He is an ideal choice for anyone seeking a responsible and compassionate dog sitter. If you're looking for someone who combines reliability with a true passion for dogs, Evan is the perfect fit.”

Sophia N.
“I've known Sophia for a long time and I've seen how she takes care of her twin Siamese cats, her adorable Wheaton Terrier, and also when she's dog-sitting for her friends' dogs. A lot of her friends really think that she treats all these pets, hers and theirs, like they're little babies.”
