He had to be taken to the hospital, had emergency surgery, and is still hospitalized. Our other son and his family work full-time and couldn't stay at night. I made arrangements with Michael from a cruise ship in the Eastern Caribbean, which meant we couldn't do a meet and greet ahead of time. Our other son met up with Michael to introduce him to the dogs. Michael took great care of our dogs and our home while we were gone. He was very communicative. About: I grew up with dogs! I have much love and respect for dogs (and pets of all kinds), and I find they respond by returning the favor. I have cared for many dog friends in the past, and have become very familiar with cats as well. I am an independent contractor for various tasks (my favorite outside of pet sitting is furniture assembly). My schedule varies, and I travel across town often. I have lots of availability, especially for requests planned in advance and for visits that are flexible on specific timing. Although unfortunately I currently have no room for pets in my own space, I am happy to visit pet friends in your space! I enjoy long walks (with lots of 30-second stand and sniff breaks).

Katharine is an absolute saint. She watched my 16 y/o cat for a week while I was away and above and beyond doesn’t even begin to cover it. We got test results back while I was away that he was diagnosed with lymphoma and Katharine has done so much research to see how to help him have better stools. She has put so much time, effort and energy into learning how to best care for animals in so many different situations and has a wealth of knowledge. I cannot recommend her enough. Lauren was incredible with our pup for a week! She house sat for us and the house was exactly as we left it. She sent photos and updates to let us know our dog was behaving - and she even brought in our packages that were delivered early (before we arrived home). Would definitely recommend and will definitely be utilizing her services again.
We just had Carolina stay at our house for 7 nights to watch our 12 year old golden retriever and our cat, and she did a great job. This was actually the first time we’d left our house with someone else too since buying it, so we were a bit anxious, but Carolina made it easy. She was super responsive from the start and really seemed to want to do the work, which we appreciated. While we were away, she kept us updated with photos and videos, and always got back to us quickly if we had any questions. When we got home, the pets were happy and the house was just as clean as we left it, which was really nice to come back to. We’d definitely hire her again and would recommend her to anyone needing a reliable sitter.
Lisa did great with Slinky. He started out being pretty worried about me leaving, but really relaxed and even is playing with toys now. He honestly didn't even play with toys until after this weekend, so she gave him a lot of attention, and got him to be more playful.
I was very nervous leaving my three cats for so long for the very first time (one month is a long time for my anxious babies), not to mention I was out of country too! But Ocean was very patient and understanding with my constant check ins. I received constant updates and pictures and could tell that my cats were getting the attention and love they needed. I’ll be using Ocean in the future and really recommend to anyone looking for a house sitter!
