“Rebecca was punctual in her visits and took some extra time to get to know Ellie during the initial meet and greet. Ellie seemed to enjoy her visits and we felt very comfortable leaving her under Rebecca's watch.”

“Ava did such an amazing job for us and all our fur babies! We have quite the crew so her experience with dogs really showed! Will definitely be asking her back!!!”

“She took great care of Nudy while I was away. I really appreciated the detailed updates, photos, and notes after each visit. Nudy looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and I could tell she gave him lots of attention. I would definitely book with her again!”

“My cats absolutely love Kellye! She took the time to get to know each of them, learning their quirks and giving them so much love while we are away! As a pet sitter myself, I know the importance of finding someone you can truly trust with your animals and I am happy I found that in Kellye!! 🥰”

“She was wonderful took the pups on a busy holiday (thanks!!!) dogs were quick to warm up! even dealt with our stubborn anxious dog who always needs to hide. very attentive and cares for the dogs needs. can’t wait to have her dog sit again thanks!”

About: Since 2017, I’ve had experience caring for extra large to extra small dogs breeds, cats, and other types of pets. The first puppy I had the responsibility of caring for was a husky/lab mix, I’m grateful to have been able to help him grow into a well-trained, well-mannered adult dog! I want to make sure your pet’s dietary, medical, exercise, and overall wellbeing needs are met and I’m looking forward to understanding these from you! :) I currently work in a position with a very flexible schedule. I am absolutely willing to work with a schedule that meets you and your pets needs! I will treat your mammalian, reptilian, or aquatic loved ones like I do my own - with kindness, love, and respect! I want to make sure they are comfortable as possible while you’re away.
“Peter was wonderful with our dogs. He took care to be sure our Houdini dog was properly secured before letting her out. He gave plenty of loves. He readjusted the throw on the couch to make sure it remained free from drool and fur. He even included a photo of our ducks one day, even though they weren’t his responsibility for care. Peter stayed in touch via text every visit. I will be booking him again for our future travels.”

About: I provide loving, reliable pet care. I handle every situation with calm handling, and personalized routines, ensuring pets feel safe, understood, and truly cared for. I work daily but can bring pets with me. I offer multiple walks, give meds, flexible updates, and full weekend availability for reliable, consistent care. In my home or yours, I follow each pet’s routine—feeding, walks, meds, playtime, and updates. I keep their space clean, safe, calm, and comforting at all times. I can create pets as well I have one already on hand
“They came to meet and greet Molly, to bond with her before they began walking her. They followed every detailed instruction I left for them while I was away, including feeding my fishes besides going for a walk with Molly. I was away for 7 days and Molly was in high spirits when we came back! Highly recommend.”

About: I have utmost respect (and lots of love!) for all animals. I truly view them as real friends and equals. With experience, I have also learned how to set and maintain good (and firm - when necessary) boundaries. Dogs have been trusted members of my family since I was a child. I have cared for senior rescue dogs; I have socialized puppies; I have taught reserved dogs new tricks; and I have taught stubborn dogs to sit and wait. I have admittedly less history with cats, but just as much respect and care for them as any other animal. I do currently have one close cat companion (we used to be roommates, and have been best buds ever since). As with all animals, I find that the respect and love I give to the pets I interact with is reciprocated - and often multiplied! As a person who is both adventurous and empathetic, I am generally very well attuned to the health and wellbeing of those around me, and I really enjoy taking dogs for walks almost as much as they do! I also like to play, and I can handle all kinds of doggy games. Big dogs welcome! I am an early riser - morning walks are my favorite! From day to day, I am generally very flexible; I work part-time as an independent handyman (furniture assembly, TV mounting, etc). I can make almost anytime work, as long as we can agree in advance. All requests are welcome! I enjoy long walks (with lots of 30-second stand and sniff breaks). I am both energetic and patient I love to play Always send updates when leaving

“Asalia has been incredible - reliable, easy to schedule, communicative, caring, and most importantly always leaves Odysseus feeling happy after a nice long walk. We would recommend Asalia to anyone on the Orlando area looking for someone to care for their pup!”

“Incredibly helpful and quick to assist in a pinch. Adapted to my dogs’ usual schedules for a few visits while we were out of town. We’ll definitely reach back out (with more of a heads up next time)!”

“Christina was consistent and prompt with her visits! Our pup always looked very happy in his Rover Cards. We could enjoy our time away knowing she was taking great care of our boy!”

“There aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe the experience of having Aly care for my two cats. Caring, courteous and ultra-professional, she’s exactly who you’ll need to be stress-free about leaving the pets you love in another person’s care. In order to send me pictures of my overly-timid cats, she’d take shots of them hiding under the bed. This showed me her natural devotion to the well-being of those in her care, and also that I desperately need to clean under my bed. Thanks, Aly.”
“This was our first time using Rover and our first time leaving our 8 month old kitty. Brooke was amazing! She kept us updated the whole time and after the first two days when our kitty was no longer coming out of hiding when she would visit she let us know that he was still eating his treats, using the litter box and moving his blanket around. She even stopped by our house early one morning just to confirm that he did in fact eat the treats she left out because we were a little nervous about where he was since he hadn’t been spotted. She also kept the food and litter area clean and even left a little goodie bag for our kitty! We definitely recommend Brooke and will be using her again!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Maitland
Tess did such a great job. The communication was fantastic we were out of the country and did not have reception or internet most of the time but Tess made sure to keeps us in the loops so when we did get service we could read all the messages and see all the photos. We would book her again!

Isabella was/is great, she had 3 boys to look after and she always sent pics and a paragraph of their activities. We also have a pet with medication and she administered that with no problem, even sent a picture of that too! 6 stars, will try to get her again!

Maria was wonderful with Penny for a few drop in visits while I was away! Penny is a senior cat who hides a lot and sometimes soils outside of the box when stressed. Maria always made sure to find where she was hiding, bring extra food and water closer to her, and give her lots of love. She even cleaned up the accidents which was so helpful. Maria is our go-to any time we travel!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maitland. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
