“Lyle and Karen did drop-in visits for my dog while I was out of town for the weekend. They sent pictures after every visit and made sure that I saw that he’d had a walk, eaten, and his water bowl was full. They also gave him his medicine in the mornings. Overall, they were very communicative and my dog seemed to like them.”

“Peter took absolutely amazing care of my dog, Oddie. This was the very first time we ever left Oddie with someone who wasn’t family, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, Peter made us feel at ease and treated Oddie with so much love and care. He kept us updated and sent us photos, which truly meant the world to us and gave us so much peace of mind. We are beyond grateful for his care and will absolutely be using his services again. 100% highly recommended!”

“Brooke was great! She loved on our kitties while we were away for a few days. Our kitties warmed right up to her. She followed our schedule and sent lots of pictures to make us feel like we were still right there with them. We’d certainly use Brooke in the future! Thanks again!”

“Heather did an amazing job watching my cats over Thanksgiving! She kept me updated the entire time, sent photos, and truly took great care of my pets. It was such a relief knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend her!”

“Jenna was amazing with our two large dogs. She came over before the schedule visit to meet the dogs and review instructions. She was prompt on schedule visit times and sent plenty of pics. We know our fur babies were well cared for and can’t wait to have her again!”

“Lexus was very professional and friendly. She helped calm our nerves by coming to our house to meet our dog and talk with us about expectations. Lexus was always on time and kept us updated with photos and reports. Shiloh loved her!! We will definitely be booking her again in the future! Thank you, Lexus!”

“Zoe was amazing!!!! We came to FL for a wedding and she was there to help us care for our two dogs during the busy festivities. We only wished she lived closer so we could continue using her all the time. Book with Zoe and your fur babies will be in incredible hands. Thanks for showing our pups all the love!!!”

“Hannah was AMAZING! She went above & beyond to make our pets comfortable. We had some issues with our house while we were away and she helped us with that as well. She stayed in contact with us nonstop and our dogs adored her. She was always prompt and stayed the full length of time, and sometimes longer to help with our house situation. She also took the dogs on an unplanned walk, just to help get them out of the house for a bit. She truly was amazing. We recommend Hannah 1000% and hope to use her every time we go out of town!”

“Kelley was a great communicator and provided updates and photos while we were away. I felt like our boys were in great hands and am sure they enjoyed having a new friend to play with!”

“Glacie was awesome! The babies loved her. She did great with taking them out to go potty, feeding them and giving them water. She also gave them medication I had left on the kitchen counter with instructions on how to administer. We will definitely be requesting her sitting services again!”

“Rachel did a great job while watching our cats. She showed up at the right time and provided photos she took. Just from the photos I can tell how much they warmed up to her during her visits. I definitely recommend!”

“Sherry went above and beyond!! I came home to two happy cats and tidy litter boxes. She even fixed the annoying automatic feeder with no complaints. She’s bright and cheerful, it was lovely! Thank you Sherry!”

“Natalie did an amazing job taking care of my dog Buttercup! She’s a small, blind, diabetic dachshund, so she requires a lot of patience and special attention, and Natalie handled everything perfectly. Buttercup seemed really comfortable with her, which means a lot to us. Even my mom was very appreciative of how kind and attentive Natalie was. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“I'm so so happy to have found Trinity! My shy cats warmed up to her immediately and were comfortable with her. I loved her pictures and her updates each day. She gave me a peace of mind while away that my cats were in good hands. Will be booking again :)”

About: Hi! My name is Rachel, and I’m a lifelong animal lover and proud cat mom to two tuxedos. I’ve grown up around both dogs and cats my entire life and truly love spending time with animals of all kinds. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels — from playful kittens and puppies to senior pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or just a calm companion, I’m happy to provide care tailored to their needs. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own I currently work part-time and attend school part-time, which gives me flexibility for pet care visits throughout the week. I’m available for early mornings, evenings, and any time throughout the weekends, and I do my best to accommodate each pet’s routine and needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all owner instructions, routines, and safety practices to ensure pets feel secure and cared for while you’re away. I currently only offer services in clients’ homes, which helps pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I do not offer boarding in my own home because I have two cats who are not always comfortable around other animals, and I want to ensure the safety and comfort of both my pets and yours. I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, crate preferences, and any other special care requests to make sure your pet receives attentive, compassionate care.
About: Pets with any sort of accommodations are always welcomed, requested personal updates are also welcomed for those who miss their little fur babies during the day! I’m currently a college student at Full Sail University, my classes change monthly which may effect my hours that I am available but I’ll always be sure to update my profile if anything changes, but holidays are times I am not available. I have a dog of my own who lives with my mother as of right now, but homes will be left exactly how you’ve left them and your furry friend will be happier than ever. I’m also aware of what foods pets can and cannot eat, but I will never give your pets any human food without explicit permission.
“Nina was absolutely amazing and quick to respond! I usually don’t trust people without getting to meet them but Nina was truly amazing with my pups and will rebook again :)”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Aloma
She was fantastic! She took great care of feeding a feral cat at our home while we were away and even stayed to make sure the cat came by to eat. She was kind, dependable, and caring, which gave us real peace of mind. We would definitely book her again and highly recommend her!

Amber is fantastic! She did a great job communicating with me throughout my trip and took wonderful care of my guinea pigs and chinchilla. I would absolutely book with Amber again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

I cannot recommend Zoe highly enough. From the moment I entrusted my three cats to her care, I knew they were in excellent hands. One of my cats, Hope, has special medical needs and requires nebulizer treatments. She handled those treatments with confidence, patience, and ease, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. It's not easy to find someone who is both capable and comfortable providing that level of care. Beyond meeting their physical needs, she genuinely spent quality time with all three of my cats. She played with them, gave them attention and affection, and treated them as if they were her own. It was clear from the photos and updates she sent that she truly cared about their well-being and happiness. She was consistently punctual, reliable, and professional. Every visit was communicated clearly, and I received thoughtful updates and pictures each time, which meant so much to me. As a pet parent, especially to a cat with medical needs, that level of communication is invaluable. What sets her apart is her empathy and genuine love for animals. She doesn't simply "check in" on pets, she cares for them. Knowing my cats were safe, loved, and receiving excellent care allowed me to relax and enjoy my time away without worry. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, dependable, and exceptional with animals, I would recommend her without hesitation.

Jazzlyn is super communicative and responsive, and she took great care of my two kitties, including my high needs senior cat who needed medication twice daily. She fearlessly administered it for him, which is exactly what he needed. She even spent extra time with him so he wouldn’t feel so lonely. I highly recommend!

Lilliana was incredibly sweet and both of our cats immediately liked her during the meet and greet which was great! She’s one of the few Rover sitters on here that isn’t dedicated to just dogs, and has provided care for a variety of different animals. She was able to provide oral liquid medication for my special needs boy, which I greatly appreciate! She sent cute pictures and updates during her visits. We will definitely be booking her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aloma. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
