“I am so happy after Jethro's first stay with Becky. Becky likes to do a little "meet & greet" before you initially book which I think is great! You get to know her, and your dog can get comfortable with her and her dogs. As well as for her to feel out your dog's personality. Jethro seemed to get comfortable real quick! I also love that she knows hounds! Not everyone quite gets the hound personality (talkative and stubborn) so this was great. We can't wait for Jethro to come back for a longer stay. Thanks Becky!!”

“Maria saved the day! We were in town for graduation and our dog was whining when we left him at daughter’s new apartment. Maria was available immediately and she was so sweet, had a great house, yard, and son to help our dog feel better about staying in a new place. She also sent lots of pics and kept in touch so we wouldn’t have to worry.??”

“Thank you Ms. Debra. I'm glad that Barack is adjusting to new surroundings & the other dogs as well. I'll tell his worrying Dad (lol) that he has nothing to worry about.”

I’ll make sure they stay on their regular routine and feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My dogs are part of my family, and I love spending time with them every day. I make sure they’re fed on a regular schedule, get plenty of walks and playtime, always have fresh water, and receive lots of love, attention, and cuddles. I do everything I can to keep them happy, healthy, safe, and comfortable.

“I’m so thankful that they were able to watch our Chewy, as it was last minute. Chewy seemed to enjoy his time, and was fond of April and her husband at pick up and drop off.”

About: Since I was 14, friends and family have trusted me to care for their animals when they’re out of town, and I’ve continued doing this over the years. I’m very trustworthy and experienced in caring for pets with medical needs, such as allergies, mobility challenges, or blood conditions. I’m comfortable giving medication to cats and dogs of all sizes and always patient with each animal’s unique personality and needs. I work remotely so I have a flexible schedule to care for your pets whenever needed. If your plans change or your trip gets extended just let me know and I’m happy to adjust and provide extra care as needed. First and foremost, your pet’s safety is my top priority. I always follow your instructions carefully and do my best to keep their routine consistent so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m very comfortable caring for both dogs and cats in my home, and my goal is to make them feel completely at home too. They’re welcome to explore, relax, and cuddle wherever they’d like.
About: Beginning in childhood, I’ve had several dog breeds (over 20!) that I’ve been tasked to take care of, play with, keep healthy and whose needs I’ve grown to pay attention to and understand. I adore animals and I approach them gently and mindfully, always considering what support will help prolong their lifespan and keep them happy, yet trained and behaved. My friends and family often call on me to either keep their pets company, train or housesit them, and I’m always more than happy to spend time with their animals. I firmly believe pets are not toys, and much more like our own kids, deserving of care, compassion, joy and attention. I have 17+ years experience taking care of and loving French bulldogs and pugs, who notoriously require extra responsibility, attention and instruction, as they can be stubborn and prone to health and breathing issues (often brought on by heat). I have cared for senior dogs who deserve nothing but love towards the end of their lives, and also puppies who need time spent on training and feeling safe, and lots of play and activity to stimulate their growing minds. I am a graduate student, with flexible availability between Saturday to Tuesday, during my off days, when I’ll be studying from home, often lounging and relaxing in my space. Having a pet to look after, feed and care for would not only be a very welcomed time commitment, but would make my space feel even more homely and bring me joy. I have enough time to play with dogs, pay attention to their unique needs and keep them active and joyful, or to simply accompany them while they rest and rejuvenate. I have a spacious apartment and a shaded dog park within my apartment community, as well as a dog wash corner next to the park - helpful during hot days in Florida. I am extremely mindful towards any pet staying with me, and provide them with a comfortable, safe and cooled space, in which I am committed to staying aware of their habits, likes and dislikes, and learning to understand their groove. There are several areas for them to use the bathroom outside, take a walk within the apartment community, as well as designated pee pads inside the apartment. I am happy to be in touch with the clients as often as needed, to help them feel at ease about letting their little one stay with someone new. I care about building trust with a dog, and taking the time to grow our bond, so they can be at ease in their surroundings and reduce any anxiety from a new environment.
About: I got my first dog when I was in 6th grade and he was a shitzu. He was the calmest dog I ever had and people told me he kind of resembled me. That was 14 years ago and I have learned a lot of patience, love, and care throughout that time. After he passed 6 years ago, I’ve continued to love animals through fostering (longest was 2 months) and dog sitting both short term and long term. While your pet stays in my home overnight, I will give all my attention to whatever needs they have. I will play with your dog as if they were my own because that is how much I I love them. My special skill is that I am patient with pretty much everything I do so when it comes to your pets, I will keep a cool head when things get “hairy”. I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to give them attention and company. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking trails that will be perfect to explore! I try my best to treat all pets as if they were my own. I also don’t mind if they snuggle next to me on the bed or if they want to relax on the couch.
“Ailin did such an amazing job with our dog! This is the first time our dog was with a sitter for an entire day, and she did so well with her. She updated us on how our dog was doing. She found ways to calm our dog, and so our dog was comfortable enough to eat, which is something she doesn’t do with sitters. Overall, it was a great experience, thank you!”

“Daniela was amazing with our Miniature Schnauzer, Hanna! You could tell she genuinely enjoyed spending time with her and took great care of her. We felt completely at ease knowing Hanna was in such good hands. We’ll definitely be booking with Daniela again — highly recommend!”

“Sarah was absolutely amazing with Mia! She is highly communicative, kept me updated throughout the day, and sent lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Mia had an incredible day and came home happy and tired—which, as every dog owner knows, means she had a great time! Sarah also went above and beyond by accepting not one, but TWO last-minute bookings for me, which I truly appreciated. It’s clear that Sarah genuinely cares about the dogs she watches, and Mia was so comfortable and happy with her. We’re both very happy customers, and Mia is already excited to go back tomorrow! 🐾🐾🐾 Thank you, Sarah! We highly recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional Rover sitter.”

About: Hi! 🐾 I’m Lexus—fully insured and dedicated to caring for your furry family members. I grew up around animals & have experience in the dog grooming industry. I have cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs, including puppies, seniors, and pups requiring oral medication. My goal is to make every animal feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for like my own, while giving pet parents peace of mind while they are away. I share a single-family home with my mom, Tiffany, who also enjoys helping love on the pups who stay with us. We have a fenced backyard for playtime and relaxation, along with two friendly small dogs and two cats. If your pup prefers a quieter experience, we also have a dedicated dog room with cozy beds and toys (you can see pictures in my gallery). I never take more than two dogs at a time in my home to ensure everyone feels safe, calm, and well cared for. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect and care I give your pups, keeping things tidy, maintaining your privacy, and making sure your furry loved one feels secure, happy, and loved. You can feel confident both your pets and your home are in good hands. Building trust is incredibly important to me, which is why meet & greets are required for all new clients. Please take a moment to read through the rest of my profile for important additional details. I can’t wait to meet you and care for your pet(s)! 🐶💕 Availability: Caring for dogs is my full-time job, giving me ample time to dedicate to your fur-baby! I prioritize pet care throughout my day, ensuring regular walks, playtime, and attention to meet their needs, all while maintaining clear communication with frequent updates and pictures. Standard Booking vs Constant Care: A standard booking differs from 24/7 constant care. During a standard stay, your pups are always my priority, and I would NEVER leave them alone for extended periods. That said, standard bookings do allow for brief moments when I may need to step out, such as taking another nearby dog for a quick walk or running a short errand. I’m always mindful of the dogs in my care, and if I need to step out, I keep outings short, plan them around your pup’s routine, and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and settled. If your pup needs around-the-clock supervision (for example, due to separation anxiety, medical needs, or simply extra comfort), it is a separate service level that would fall under Rover’s constant care bookings, which I offer at a flat rate of $150 per day. This rate ensures I can block off my calendar and be fully prepared to provide 24 hour care. Please make sure to note this requirement in your booking request or at our meet and greet, as fees will need to be modified prior to confirming the dates requested. Start and End Times: To help me coordinate care smoothly, please keep your start and ends times within a 1-hour window. If a wider time frame is requested, I’ll adjust it before confirming your booking. Late arrivals may be subject to additional fees or cancellation, so please communicate with me as soon as possible if your plans change. I often have other pet guests scheduled immediately before and after each visit; accurate timing is essential, so I can provide every pet the attention they deserve. Confirming a Request: Per Rover’s policy, full payment is required before your booking can be confirmed. I’m unable to hold or block off dates until payment is completed. I often receive multiple requests for the same dates, therefore bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests may be archived if payment isn’t secured within 24 hours of our meet and greet, as pending requests temporarily remove my availability from other pet parents who are searching for care. Please note, I do not receive payment from Rover until services have been fully rendered. Cancellations: I do not offer refunds for any stay canceled less than 7 days of the confirmed booking or less than 14 days of a holiday booking. This is my full time position, and cancellations greatly impact my ability to continue to provide excellent care at a competitive rate. I appreciate your understanding. My goal is to give every pet the attention, safety, and consistency they deserve while under my supervision. These guidelines help me provide consistent, high-quality care while keeping things organized and fair for all families. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. 💛 Safety & Trust: As an animal owner and lover myself, I understand the importance of providing a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for pets. During the meet and greet, I will ask a lot of questions about your pup- this is to ensure I know as much as possible to make your dog feel at ease while under my care, and to make sure I am a good fit for your needs. This time will also allow you to ask me any questions you may have. My goal is to leave you feeling comfortable and confident that when your pet is in my care, they are treated like family- with a patient, attentive, and nurturing approach that fosters genuine connection, safety, and trust.
“Have you heard of Ms. Rachel, the online personality that toddlers are obsessed with? Well, consider this Rachel to be the same. My 4 year old havapoo is obsessed with Rachel and we’ve only met her twice! I’ve never seen her so excited to see a Rover sitter, she’s truly at the same excitement as seeing her grandparents when I drop her off. Rachel has such an amazing intuition with dogs and can sense exactly how they’re feeling, and knows how to make them comfortable instantly. I have a very a sensitive dog who is a total lover but also needs a lot of playtime, and I’ve never trusted a sitter more than Rachel to read exactly how she’s feeling and what she needs. I’m only in Orlando for a month, and will continue to book Rachel as often as I can!! Her energy and personality will fit with any dog.”

“Took such great care of little Miss Fancy Pants that the next time I dropped her off she ran up and jumped on him (and dobermans are very selective in who they like).”

About: I’ve grown up with cats, dogs, birds and even snakes so i’m more than comfortable with multiple types of animals and providing the best care possible for them. I understand how hard it can be to leave a member of your family behind while going on a trip or to work so I’m ready to make sure each animal gets plenty of love and affection as well as exercise and play!! i’m currently going to school for zoology so I would love to spend the free time, which is too much free time, i have with animals and taking care of them is just as fun as playing with them! I’m prepared for different dietary restrictions, including making stove top or raw diets, cleaning up after them, bathing them if requested, skincare routines for allergies or sensitive skin and anything else they might need.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Aloma commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,216 sitters in Aloma, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
