“Our dog Murphy enjoyed his day with dominque and was quite the happy pup when we picked him up. We loved seeing all the pictures. Thanks so much for taking fabulous care of Murphy!”

“Omg Rachel is the best!!! She always takes such good care of our little Micah!!! Takes him for walks and gives him lots of love and attention just the way he likes it. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him while daddy and daddy are at work”

“Martha was so caring and my pup absolutely adored her! My pup Maddy is paraplegic and got the senior care and love she needed— even sunbathed!🌞 Once home, certainly slept through the night. Thank you Martha!”
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I have the most experience with small and medium breeds, however, I now have a very sweet standard golden doodle I work from home full-time, so your pup will always have the attention they need. I am available during Monday through Friday and most weekends with a little notice. I have a fenced in backyard and a golden doodle to help keep your pup company. If you provide a crate, I’m more than happy to crate train your pup to help provide consistency in their furry lives while here with me
“Jennifer is amazing!!! Felt completely at ease with her, plus the pups love her! She sent lots of photos and even came to our hotel to watch them while we were gone for the day. She goes above and beyond and we will definitely use her again when we come back 😊 thank you Jennifer!!”

“Douglas was very patient with our dog Luna. He seemed knowledgeable and we felt confident in his ability to care for our dog while we enjoyed the town. We could tell he really enjoys caring for dogs. He also sent updates and pictured throughout the day which helped keep us at ease. We will book again if he will have us.”

“Cristal was so amazing. She took care of my standard poodle, Wiles. She let him play in their big backyard. She sent updated videos and pictures. I came from out of town to visit family and wanted to have a place for him to stay all day. She took such good care of Wiles that I did not worry at all while I was with my family all day. Wiles had the best time and kept giving her hugs when he had to leave. I would highly recommend Cristal to keep your dog. I give her five stars. She was fantastic and now when I come to visit my family, I will have her keep Wiles again.”

“Leda was wonderful with our pup, Luna. She let us know how she was doing throughout the day. Leda cared so much for Luna and we really appreciated her honesty when she notified us when she felt Luna was showing signs of missing us later in the day. I have to say, Luna is not used to being without us and it was the first time we had left her for so long, so it was somewhat expected that this would happen. Anyway, Leda’s honesty helped us feel good that we left her in good hands.”

“This was our two pandemic pups’ very first dog sitting experience and Sara was AMAZING! She eased our mind and was great with the dogs and details of care. :) she went above and beyond with photos, videos, and letting me know how it went. She has made me feel so much better about returning to the office even though I will miss my babies!! TYSM”

“Kristie was absolutely amazing! Her communication was impeccable from start to finish, and she kept me updated throughout the day with tons of photos and videos of Mia. It was so reassuring to see how much fun she was having and how well she was being cared for. Mia had SUCH a great time that she was actually upset when it was time to come home! 😂 That says everything! I couldn’t be happier with the care Kristie provided, and I would highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their pup. THANK YOU KRISTIE! 🐾❤️”
About: I’m a 32-year-old professional with a flexible schedule. I’ve been a lifelong pet lover and have had pets for most of my life. Right now, I share my home with a cat I adopted while living in Philadelphia. Ask me anything! I work remotely from my apartment and have a very flexible schedule, so I’m available most of the time. I just need a couple of hours’ notice to plan my day around it, but overall, I’m very flexible! I live in a spacious and comfortable apartment with my cat. While we don’t have a fenced garden, there’s a nearby trail where I go for a walk every morning.

About: Hi! 🐾 I’m Lexus. I am fully insured and dedicated to caring for your furry family members. I grew up around animals & have experience in the dog grooming industry. I have cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs, including puppies, seniors, and pups requiring oral medication. My mom, Tiffany, is pet CPR certified and inspired my lifelong love of animals. She plays an active role in helping care for the pets entrusted to us. We believe exceptional pet care is about more than meeting basic needs; it’s about building relationships. We take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and preferences, creating a low-stress experience tailored to their unique needs. Your pets become part of our family, not just another reservation. Whether your pet is staying in our home or we’re caring for them in yours, they will be treated like one of our own, with the same love, patience, and respect we’d want for our own pets, while giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. For Day Care and Boarding: We live in a 1-story house and have a fenced backyard for playtime and relaxation. There are two friendly small dogs and two cats who are our furry companions. If your pup prefers a quieter experience, we also have a dedicated dog room with cozy beds and toys (you can see pictures in my gallery). We never take more than two dogs at a time in my home to ensure everyone feels safe, calm, and well cared for. For House-Sitting and Drop-Ins: When caring for pets in your home, we treat your space with the same respect and care we give your pets, keeping things tidy, maintaining your privacy, and making sure your furry loved one feels secure, happy, and loved. You can feel confident both your pets and your home are in good hands. Building a trusting relationship with pet parents and ensuring safety are top priorities, which is why meet & greets are required for all new clients. Please take a moment to read through the rest of my profile for important additional details. We can’t wait to meet you and care for your pet(s)! 🐶💕 Availability: Caring for dogs is my full-time job, giving me ample time to dedicate to your fur-baby! I prioritize pet care throughout my day, ensuring regular walks, playtime, and attention to meet their needs, all while maintaining clear communication with frequent updates and pictures. Standard Booking vs Constant Care: A standard booking differs from 24/7 constant care. During a standard stay, your pups are always my priority, and I would NEVER leave them alone for extended periods. That said, standard bookings do allow for brief moments when I may need to step out, such as taking another nearby dog for a quick walk or running a short errand. I’m always mindful of the dogs in my care, and if I need to step out, I keep outings as brief as possible, plan them around your pup’s routine, and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and settled. If your pup needs around-the-clock supervision (for example, due to separation anxiety, medical needs, or simply extra comfort), it is a separate service level that would fall under Rover’s constant care bookings, which I offer at a flat rate of $250 per day. This rate ensures I can block off my calendar and be fully prepared to provide 24 hour care. Please make sure to note this requirement in your booking request or at our meet and greet, as fees will need to be modified prior to confirming the dates requested. Start and End Times: To help me coordinate care smoothly, please keep your start and ends times within a 1-hour window. If a wider time frame is requested, I’ll adjust it before confirming your booking. Late arrivals may be subject to additional fees or cancellation, so please communicate with me as soon as possible if your plans change. I often have other pet guests scheduled immediately before and after each visit; accurate timing is essential, so I can provide every pet the attention they deserve. Confirming a Request: Per Rover’s policy, full payment is required before your booking can be confirmed. I’m unable to hold or block off dates until payment is completed. I often receive multiple requests for the same dates, therefore bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests may be archived if payment isn’t secured within 24 hours of our meet and greet, as pending requests temporarily remove my availability from other pet parents who are searching for care. Please note, I do not receive payment from Rover until services have been fully rendered. Cancellations: I do not offer refunds for any stay canceled less than 7 days of the confirmed booking or less than 14 days of a holiday booking. This is my full time position, and cancellations greatly impact my ability to continue to provide excellent care at a competitive rate. I appreciate your understanding. My goal is to give every pet the attention, safety, and consistency they deserve while under my supervision. These guidelines help me provide consistent, high-quality care while keeping things organized and fair for all families. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. 💛 Safety & Trust: As an animal owner and lover myself, I understand the importance of providing a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for pets. During the meet and greet, I will ask a lot of questions about your pup- this is to ensure I know as much as possible to make your dog feel at ease while under my care, and to make sure I am a good fit for your needs. This time will also allow you to ask me any questions you may have. My goal is to leave you feeling comfortable and confident that when your pet is in my care, they are treated like family- with a patient, attentive, and nurturing approach that fosters genuine connection, safety, and trust.
About: I got my first dog when I was in 6th grade and he was a shitzu. He was the calmest dog I ever had and people told me he kind of resembled me. That was 14 years ago and I have learned a lot of patience, love, and care throughout that time. After he passed 6 years ago, I’ve continued to love animals through fostering (longest was 2 months) and dog sitting both short term and long term. While your pet stays in my home overnight, I will give all my attention to whatever needs they have. I will play with your dog as if they were my own because that is how much I I love them. My special skill is that I am patient with pretty much everything I do so when it comes to your pets, I will keep a cool head when things get “hairy”. I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to give them attention and company. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking trails that will be perfect to explore! I try my best to treat all pets as if they were my own. I also don’t mind if they snuggle next to me on the bed or if they want to relax on the couch.
About: Hi my name is Kristin. I've had dogs since the day I was born. I've never not had a dog in my home. I have a dog named FeFe and 3 Cats named Yuki, Snickers and Kit Cat, at the moment. I love animals in general. I've had numerous animals over the years. I've bottle fed kittens and puppies. I've potty trained and have taken care of 3 puppies of my own. I've taken care of senior dogs. Some of my own and I am comfortable administering medication to senior or any age dog. I previously worked as a preschool teacher, so I understand the importance of patience, routines, safety and creating a calm, loving environment. I have a flexible schedule and am home throughout the day, this is my job, and I absolutely it, which allows me to give plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime and supervision. I can accommodate feeding routines, medication schedules and cuddle time to help your dog feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. I do not take dogs on walks though. I have a very large backyard and they get plenty of playtime and potty breaks. They can run and play several times a day. I will also not be doing late at night pickup ups or drop offs. Please make other arrangements. Thank you. All pick up or drop offs at my home, must be done by 7:45 p.m. ***I do also require a mandatory meet and greet, if you live within 45 minutes to an hour of my area.*** Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. As I mentioned before, I have a large fenced in backyard. I will be with all dogs, at all times in the backyard. I pay close attention to each pet's routine, personality and needs to help them feel safe and comfortable while in my care and away from your home. I supervise pets closely, provide regular potty breaks, fresh water, feeding on schedule, playtime and plenty of affection. My goal is to create a trustworthy environment, where pet parents can feel confident knowing their dogs are safe, happy and well cared for. Whether your dog likes cuddles on the couch or wants to just lay on the floor and relax, they can surely do that here.

Charles and his partner took care of my Teddy for 4 nights during July 4th! They sent me constant updates and took protocols well. I felt at ease since it was my first time leaving my puppy. I never had any issues during the stay, and Teddy felt very comfortable and safe with them. He also played with other furry friends! Which I loved. I got to meet them before the stay, and they were extremely welcoming and friendly. Thank you guys so much for taking care of my puppy Teddy!!!! I do recommend for any anxious mommas like me ! Haha .

This was my first time using Rover, and Felipe was absolutely outstanding! He was incredibly accommodating, taking my reservation on very short notice. My two pups warmed up to him almost immediately, which was a huge relief, especially for my 2 year old, who is usually quite skeptical of new people. Felipe provided excellent peace of mind by sending frequent photo updates of their walks and them just hanging out. He was truly fantastic with them, and I’m already looking forward to rebooking with him whenever I need support in the future. Thank you kindly, Felipe!
Douglas was very patient with our dog Luna. He seemed knowledgeable and we felt confident in his ability to care for our dog while we enjoyed the town. We could tell he really enjoys caring for dogs. He also sent updates and pictured throughout the day which helped keep us at ease. We will book again if he will have us.

Our German Shepherd, Mabel, just spent 5 hours at Shirley’s house, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we dropped her off, we could tell she was in great hands. Shirley spent real, quality time with Mabel and sent us a bunch of videos throughout her stay — something that means the world to us when we’re away from our girl. Shirley’s home is absolutely beautiful, and her huge backyard was a dream for Mabel. It was clean, safe, and full of space for her to explore and play. We felt completely at ease the entire time. Monica and I are incredibly grateful we found Shirley. We can’t wait for Mabel to return — and now we can finally plan a vacation knowing our baby is not only safe, but also having a genuinely good time. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pet like family, look no further. Shirley is truly amazing. 🐾❤️

I’m incredibly thankful for the way you cared for Astro while I was away. You were so communicative throughout—always keeping me updated and making sure I felt at ease. Your messages and photos were such a comfort! On top of that, you were genuinely friendly and warm, which made the whole experience even better. It’s clear Astro felt loved and safe with you. Thank you so much!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
