“It was a very pleasant experience with Maria. She is kind and friendly and she takes care of our Loki very well. Loki was always excited to see her! We enjoyed our tour knowing someone was taking care of Loki. Thank you so much Maria!”

“Naya has been great for Yuki. She definitely has a way with dogs. My dogs very guarded at first with any new person and Naya was very patient with her. Now my dog jumps out of the car and runs to her when she sees Naya. Your dogs would be in good hands with Naya!”

“Tetiana was absolutely wonderful! She accepted our last-minute request to watch our Shih Tzu, Doug, while my family and I spent the day exploring Orlando. From the moment we met her, my wife and I felt completely at ease with her warm, caring demeanor and trusted her with Doug right away. She kept us updated with adorable photos throughout the day, which was such a thoughtful bonus, and she responded quickly to every text and question we had. It gave us great peace of mind knowing Doug was in such good hands. We will definitely use Tetiana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring, and professional dog sitter!”

“Jesse and Kelly did an amazing job taking care of my baby Storm! We were visiting the area and nervous about leaving her because she has separation anxiety. They sent us videos and pictures throughout the day. Storm had a fantastic day playing and even came home with us in a cute bandana! I highly recommend them!!!!”

About: My husband and I live in SoDo next to Lake Davis which has a wonderful walking path, wildlife and lots of neighbors walking their own dogs. We have two mini dachshunds named porter and Barley, and we love our fur children. We have a big, fenced-in backyard for zoomies. Barley is the co-founder of Dachshunds of Orlando meet up group every 1st Sat and 3rd Sun of the month at Lake Druid Dog Park. Find us on Facebook! “Have you heard of Ms. Rachel, the online personality that toddlers are obsessed with? Well, consider this Rachel to be the same. My 4 year old havapoo is obsessed with Rachel and we’ve only met her twice! I’ve never seen her so excited to see a Rover sitter, she’s truly at the same excitement as seeing her grandparents when I drop her off. Rachel has such an amazing intuition with dogs and can sense exactly how they’re feeling, and knows how to make them comfortable instantly. I have a very a sensitive dog who is a total lover but also needs a lot of playtime, and I’ve never trusted a sitter more than Rachel to read exactly how she’s feeling and what she needs. I’m only in Orlando for a month, and will continue to book Rachel as often as I can!! Her energy and personality will fit with any dog.”

“Leda was wonderful with our pup, Luna. She let us know how she was doing throughout the day. Leda cared so much for Luna and we really appreciated her honesty when she notified us when she felt Luna was showing signs of missing us later in the day. I have to say, Luna is not used to being without us and it was the first time we had left her for so long, so it was somewhat expected that this would happen. Anyway, Leda’s honesty helped us feel good that we left her in good hands.”

Michelle was wonderful with our puppies! She had such a huge task with three of them at once on such short notice and she was amazing with them! She was able to update us as to what’s going on and they came back after a day of fun and were ready to knock out! Couldn’t recommend her enough! She even said bye to them as they were in the car! Will definitely use again when we’re in town!

This was our first time leaving Willow with someone we didn’t know. This was a great first experience. Kristie was helpful and quick to communicate. She was also flexible when we want to change it from a dog sitting to a dog boarding. She sent us pictures each day. The pick up and drop was a a breeze. I would recommend using Kristie.

I’m incredibly thankful for the way you cared for Astro while I was away. You were so communicative throughout—always keeping me updated and making sure I felt at ease. Your messages and photos were such a comfort! On top of that, you were genuinely friendly and warm, which made the whole experience even better. It’s clear Astro felt loved and safe with you. Thank you so much!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Holden Heights commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
