About: I bring over 12 years of hands-on pet care experience and have cared for 50+ animals, including horses, bunnies, turtles, chickens, dogs, cats, goats, and reptiles. My background includes rescue dogs, seniors, puppies, anxious pets, and multi-pet households. Raised around a family-run rescue shelter in Colombia, I developed early awareness of behavioral sensitivity and trauma-informed handling. I understand how to support reactive dogs, pets adjusting to new environments, and animals deeply attached to their routines. I’m confident with structured walks, medication administration, feeding schedules, and maintaining consistency — because routine creates safety. I work comfortably with high-energy breeds who need firm structure as well as senior dogs who require patience and gentle pacing. Safety, emotional regulation, and calm leadership guide everything I do. “Appreciated the communication from Marie and the time she spent with my cat! I knew he was in good hands and felt at ease leaving town knowing she would be checking in on him.”

“Shirley is the one of our greatest finds! Our pets don't even miss us because she takes such good care of our pets. She brings us such comfort and peace of mind when we're away. We know our pets are in the best possible care!”

“Katelyn is great! Our Morkie 'Ruby' warmed up to her on their first meet up. Being away from "our daughter" was anxiety-making, we're rarely apart. Katelyn made sure we saw daily photos, and ensured us that Ruby was well taken care of, which was such a relief! Katelyn is our Go-To Pet Sitter!!!”

“Brooke was great! She loved on our kitties while we were away for a few days. Our kitties warmed right up to her. She followed our schedule and sent lots of pictures to make us feel like we were still right there with them. We’d certainly use Brooke in the future! Thanks again!”

Holland was amazing! She took fantastic care of my fur babies and sent me comforting photos. When I got home the house remained clean and I could tell the photos matched the care given. Holland is trustworthy and I had no worry with her in my home. Will be rebooking with her again in the future. ☺️

We had a fantastic experience with Rafaela watching our cat, Phoebe! Before the booking even started, she came over to our house for a meet-and-greet to get to know Phoebe and go over her routine, which immediately put our minds at ease. While we were away, she was extremely communicative and sent us daily updates along with great pictures. She even went above and beyond by watering our plant! We highly recommend Rafaela and will definitely be using her again in the future.

Adriana was great. Pirate is shy but Adriana took time to win him over and he really warmed up to her. Sometimes when we are gone, he will have some little behavioral issues such as leaving us “presents 💩” right outside of his litter box. But thanks to Adriana for coming over and keeping him company, and taking care of him there were no surprises. He seems to be very happy and really like his new friend.

Brooke was absolutely over-the-top amazing with our cats! She loved our girls, checked in, and sent lots of photos and gave updates each day. We were able to relax on vacation knowing they were loved and cared for. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Brooke and her pet-sitting. I was afraid my shy girls would hide- nope, they were living their best lives each day with Brooke. I knew it would be fine when they came right out to her when she came for the ‘meet and greet.’ Our cats just KNEW she was kind and gentle. We will definitely book ONLY with her next trip, and feel great about being able to take more trips now that we have Brooke.

Mark is the BEST pet sitter on this app! He was able to watch my baby for me on super short notice (because I’m terrible at planning and booking in advance). I reached out a singular night before I had to leave for 3 weeks and he was able to come the next day before my flight for a meet and greet. He sent me picture and videos of my baby DAILY, and even cuddled with my cat, which really made me happy because I am typically home 24/7 and my cat is so needy and always cuddles so I know he was craving cuddles. I’m so happy he (my cat) warmed up to Mark very fast and trusted him 100%. He also stayed longer than 30 min, truly he is the most wonderful sitter I could’ve ever dreamed of. 🥹🙏🏽 Infinity/10. Highly recommend. He is truly amazing, will be booking again!

Juli has been an absolute gem for my cat Pinky. She is very flexible to changes, communication was on point from the start. She has a heart of gold and truly loves animals and goes above and beyond too take care of them. I highly recommend Juli for any task, she is just incredible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holden Heights. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
