“Terri is a huge help for us and our pups. I really enjoy the photos she sends during her drop in visits. It’s nice having one less thing to stress about while working and knowing that our boys are in good hands. We really appreciate what she does.”

“Marissa took great care of our cat while we were out of town. She communicated well, she was kind and did exactly what was asked. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their animals. Thanks Marissa!!”

About: I've had animals my entire life: dogs and cats both. I used to work at a pet store and learned a lot from my time there. I currently live in a house with two dogs (one small and one large) and a cat. I have ample experience with all breed types and dogs of all sizes, as well as animals with special needs. I work full time at a bookstore and can commit to dog walking in afternoons and mornings, as well as check ins! I am also open to pet sitting options in the future. I work at a bookstore close to full time (around 35 hours a week.) I am available in the mornings before I leave (before 8) as well as in the afternoons after 4! I do not work weekends, so I can commit to more long term hours and visits then. I do well to listen to all instructions given to me and never make any decisions before consulting with you. I kennel my own dog, and have him on a schedule that works best for him. I know that all animals are different and do my best to ensure your baby is well taken care of and isn't given any unnecessary stress.
“Jamey took care of our beloved puppy while we were gone for a long weekend. She was prompt, and VERY communicative - she messaged us every time she arrived and left, and sent pictures almost every time along with an update. She followed our instructions to a "T" and did a great job. Would highly recommend.”

“Charlie always has our backs and although we haven’t formally met in person yet , I genuinely trust her and her partner with our babies. Thank you Charlie for always being there our pups when we need you most. 🐶 🐾 ❤️”

“Rachael is amazing as usual and went above and beyond to facilitate an extra day. So thankful for her, looking forward to continuously booking her during our trips away for our Ella”

“It’s nice to have peace of mind knowing your pets are in great hands while you are away. Brandi gives you that peace of mind: she is very dependable, punctual and responds quickly to texts. We are always very satisfied with her.”

“Cathleen did a great job caring for my three cats. She sent updates everyday to let me know how they were doing and I had a great trip knowing my cats were well cared for. I will be using her services again in the future!”

About: I have had pets growing up and have taken care of them all my life. I love dogs but don’t have any pets right now. I would love the opportunity to take care and spend time with your pups! I am an art teacher and I am currently on summer break! I have lots of time to take care of your pups. Once the school years starts, I’ll be available on weekends and school breaks. I live in a one story home and currently don’t have any pets. Your pets will have plenary of room to roam around. I have a small yard.
About: My family has always had pets: cats, dogs, and a variety of others! I adopted my first dog, Monty, as an adult in 2016. He was my whole heart and soul, and I would not be the person I am without him. I adopted him off the euthanasia list at an estimated 9 yrs old with heartworms. I knew it would take some TLC to unlock his sweet goofy side. I learned very quickly (day 2!) that his unknown past left him with severe destructive separation anxiety and elopement tendencies (if he couldn't jump/climb over a fence, he went through it)! We tried medication, specialized training with a behaviorist, and crate training, but he could not be contained or soothed unless his momma was nearby. I found a reputable cage-free doggy daycare that accommodated his needs and kept him safe during the day. For the last 5 years, I have worked part time at that facility, learning and implementing rhe art of introducing dogs to each other, observing their behavior to determine temperament, handled reactive dogs, broken up the occasional fight, captured the occasional escapee, bathed them, dried them with a high velocity dryer, clipped their nails, coaxed them into eating with calm body language and words of affirmation, administered oral/topical/injected medication as prescribed - you name it, I've probably done it. If I haven't done it, I'm willing to learn! At your pace and, most importantly, at your pet's pace! Additionally, I've fostered and found homes for several dogs, whelped and weaned foster puppies, researched and participated in obedience training, reinforced skills as needed, among many other necessary tasks. Again, you name it and I'm willing to learn! As stated above, I work part-time at a daycare/boarding/grooming facility, typically 1pm-7pm on weekends and usually one or two weekdays. My personal pet (a feisty corgi named Bailey) is completely house-broken and well-socialized. I live in an apartment with a fenced off-leash dog park. I take my corgi to the fenced area for potty and play time. We also usually walk the complex twice per day. I love going to bigger public dog parks at cooler times of day. I typically feed on a schedule and can adjust if needed. My dog is toy possessive so she does not have unsupervised access to toys when other dogs are in my home. I typically separate dogs from each other when I leave and during feeding times for safety reasons. I do have a medium crate (corgi-sized), and I have space for a bigger crate if you'd like your dog to be crated (and don't mind me borrowing it for the duration of your pet's stay)!
“Thank you for being so attentive to Sophie. We are hoping you will be available again in the future as we do a bit of traveling. We appreciate your consistency and are pleased that Sophie has a new BFF.”

About: What sets me apart is the natural connection I have with dogs of all breeds and personalities. Many people call me a ‘dog whisperer’ because dogs naturally gravitate toward me wherever I go. I have experience caring for all types of dogs and truly enjoy making them feel safe, loved, comfortable, and understood. Whether your pup is playful, shy, energetic, or needs extra patience, I treat every dog like family and make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and care while you’re away. Pet care is naturally part of my daily routine through walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, exercise, patience, attention, companionship & creating a loving, safe environment for every pet. I care for pets by following their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. In my home or a client’s home, I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, companionship, medication if needed, and plenty of love and attention. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they know their pets are happy and well cared for.
“Ayanna was great with my cats ! She was on time every visit and was perfect on communication! I had to extend my trip and she was very understanding and accepted to care for them another day asap. I will be rebooking her for all future needs.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Louetta
We had a last minute week long trip come up but we were able to book Terri last minute. One of our pets is a senior dog who needed special attention due to her limited mobility but Terri took great care of her and also our kitties. We felt bad because there were a few poop accidents in the house during the week but Terri took care of everything professionally. She even brought our mail in and of course kept us posted with notes and pictures. We appreciated her help very much.

Kiera is a sweet, soft spoken young woman who has a really calming energy! My kitten is still nervous around new people but went right up to her immediately and was cuddling with her by the end of her drop in. She loves animals and that definitely comes through in her treatment and care of them. She will treat your baby like her own. I would 10/10 work with her again and I cannot recommend her enough.

I fully recommend Alyssa. She has taken care of our cats twice, separate times. Our two cats love her. We have one mean cat, and she remembered Alyssa. This factor is important. Alyssa was very patient and caring, she has cat magic ✨️. Our other friendly cat enjoyed her company. I was worried leaving my cats but I was rest assured they were with someone trustworthy and patient.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
