“This was our 2nd time using Meaghan and she was great (again) ! Very good with communication, quick to respond and showed up precisely when she said she would and went above and beyond with a special request we had. Came in clutch for us, thanks Meaghan !”
About: Aloha, We are excited to open our home to new furry friends. I have worked as a vet tech while attending UNC. So I am more than willing to accept a variety of clients that take medications or with special needs. We can provide walks, baths, and special care for guests that request additional services. We have a privacy fenced yard. If your pup loves water as much as ours do then they will have a blast in our kiddie pools. My Huskies can help me in tiring out your pup! On the app you can’t see responses to reviews on the desktop version you can see my reply. *****With a heavy heart it saddens me to see this first negative review. Disclaimer** I did not book this stay prior to their arrival, I book after I receive and verify vet records. I was not legally responsible for these puppies. I then booked the stay for my liability because they were abandoned on my driveway. I state on my profile boarders must have vaccination records to stay especially puppies. As I have worked in veterinary clinics where puppies have passed from Parvo virus. The current sitter that brought the puppies to my home said the diarrhea and vomit in the crate was “normal”. I called their veterinarian Carpenter Animal Hospital for records and they were not up to date on anything. The sitter then drove off and left the dogs on my property when I informed her of what the vet clinic told me. She mentioned she could no longer watch the dogs due to them nipping at her children and small dog. She did not mention the puppies eating their blanket and beds. This was the reason for their blockage and foaming mouth after they threw up when their owners picked them up. I took photographs of these as well. A police report and animal shelter report were made. I grew up with large police dogs as my father is still a police officer. These 35 lbs pups were not leash trained at all. They drug me around. I have 4 huskies that do not pull at all, so I was shocked. We have video surveillance cameras to confirm all these events for concerned future guests. We have a privacy fenced in yard and pool that clients can see when we do meet and greets. I would like to thank all our loyal fellow police department and military families that are not on rover for sending in testimonials. I am home full time, so I had a flexible schedule outside of current clients. I love meeting new pups and caring for them in my free time. I am happy to follow any guidelines to help watch your pet. I love all animals, so any client will be treated like my own. Please feel free to ask any questions
“I wish I could give Gina more than 5 stars. She is exactly, if not more, who you want with your babies when you can't be with them. She was also excellent with our home concerns, like the alarm and packages.”

About: I’ve grown up with three German Shorthaired pointers! One of them is now 12 years old and needs a little more attention, but he’s still as healthy as can be and the sweetest pup ever! I work another part time job, however will devote all of my time outside of that to caring for any and every pet in my custody. I always feed my dogs on time and refill their water bowl after every use because those can get dirty fast! Lots of pets and plenty of attention for every dog in my care! Also super willing to stay outside with any dog for as long as they want to ensure they’re safe and sound as they roam and do their thing!
“Emma did an amazing job watching our 2 doggies while we were away for the holiday! She gave detailed updates & sent adorable photos that my toddler loved looking at. She also made sure to bring in our packages from our porch. Highly recommend!!”

“Amanda is fantastic. All of her updates include a personal touch and she clearly spends quality time with my pup vs just showing up, feeding, and letting her outside. Very comfortable leaving town knowing Amanda is taking care of her.”

Zoe did a wonderful job taking care of Rocco and making sure he was feed, happy and played with him to give extra attention. I enjoyed and looked forward to the daily pictures she took of him while we were gone. I would hire her in a heartbeat for any future drop in needs.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tomball. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
