“We had a wonderful experience with Erica! She took such great care of our dog and kept us updated the whole time with messages and photos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. She was attentive to his specific needs and personality. I had mentioned that he can be a little protective and might try to bite if someone touches his eyes, but she still gently tried to keep them clean and did an amazing job caring for him. It was clear she really paid attention to what he needed and adjusted her care based on his temperament. I truly appreciated the extra effort she put in to make sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. We’re very grateful and would absolutely trust her to watch him again!”

“Stella went above and beyond to take care of my 14 year old Maltese. She did everything we asked and more! Stella was very attentive to his needs but also played and cuddled with him. She kept us updated every day with pictures and videos. We felt very comfortable with her watching our furbaby and will definitely have her watch him again! We would recommend her dog watching care!”

“Jeri took great care of our dog and gave us peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, kind, and attentive, and she kept us updated with photos and messages. Our dog looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We really appreciated her professionalism and would absolutely trust her again.”

“Thi was my first time booking with Michael. He allowed me to come in and see the accommodations. He took very good care of Riley-Luna. He sent updates and photos. I will definitely book stays with him in the future.”

“Bea did a wonderful job with our dogs. She had already read our care instructions when we arrived, which really put us at ease. She provided several updates over the course of their stay. And had everything packed and ready to go. Both dogs are healthy and happy - they clearly had a great time. We couldn't ask for more.”

“Bradley and Keyearra were amazing. I'm so glad I decided to look into Rover and so happy I came across them. My Enzo was so well taken care of, treated as their own. I especially loved the pictures and videos each day. I could tell he was very comfortable. I will definitely hire you two again. Thank you so much!!!”

“Kohl stayed with Girlesa for two weeks, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were incredibly responsive and communicative, and I received pictures and videos almost daily, which made being away so much easier. It was clear Kohl was well cared for, comfortable, and genuinely loved while he was there. I picked up a happy, relaxed dog - always the best sign. I’m very grateful and would absolutely book with them again.”

“As a repeat customer I continue to be thoroughly satisfied with Mark and Claudia. They are truly one of a kind and I can’t emphasize enough just how great they care for my dog. Thank you as always for treating Zeus as your own!”

“Lacinda is the most wonderful doggy caregiver. I have 2 young dogs with a lot of puppy energy. She really went above and beyond for my babies and I am forever grateful.”

“This is my second time boarding my dog with Karenly, and she was amazing yet again! She took extra care of my sweet Poppy and I’m so grateful! She communicated consistently about Poppy’s daily behaviors and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for my dog. I would recommend her to anyone 🥰”

“Tena was wonderful to work with! Very responsive and flexible. She brought my dog home very last minute which was super helpful. We will definitely be using Tena again! 10 out of 10!!”

“Our two Goldens love Deb! They are always so excited upon arrival and are good & tired afterwards. We only send them to see Ms Deb when we need to board them. She’s the best!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up around large, high-energy breeds. Today I have two of my own, a German Shorthaired Pointer and a Hungarian Vizsla, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs that need plenty of exercise, attention, and structure. My home has a secure fenced yard where dogs can safely play and relax. If your dog enjoys being active and gets along well with others, they’re welcome to join us on our daily walks and trips to the park. If they prefer a slower pace, I’m just as happy to match their routine. Every dog is different, and I try to make them feel as comfortable as possible while they’re with me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so I’ll care for them the same way I care for my own. I’ll follow your routine, give them plenty of attention, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they’re doing. I work from home most days, and those are the days I’m available for boarding. Because I’m home throughout the day, your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of attention, bathroom breaks, and playtime. If they’re up for it, they’ll join my two dogs on walks and park visits. I’ll also follow your dog’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and happiness will always come first. I have a secure, fully fenced yard and a clean, dog-friendly home where pets are treated like family. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy meeting new friends, but I’m also happy to keep dogs separated if that’s what makes everyone most comfortable. I’ll follow your feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any special requests to make sure your dog feels right at home. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and having a great time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
