“Kristina and her husband were wonderful to work with and they took amazing care of Arthur. Easy drop of and pick up. Clear communications and no confusion. Great updates throughout his stay. He was loved and treated as one of their own dogs. And it showed. I will definitely be using this family again for my boardings in the future.”

“Maddy took good care of our dog while we were out of town for two days. She has a nice house with a big yard, and he was happy and healthy when we picked him up. Thank you Maddy!”

“Ella and family took care of our pup pretty last minute for just over a week. She was flexible with timing, sent pictures and updates daily and he seemed to be very happy in her care. Would highly recommend!”

“Deborah was great! She has a great setup for the dogs she watches and she is very respectful and friendly. She took great care of our Rosie. She kept me updated with photos/videos of her and was quick to respond. Definitely recommend her to keep your pets!”

“It was a great experience working with Maureen and her husband. They are very welcoming and receptive. Our puppies felt right at home with them and it seem's like they did not skip a beat in their routines and play time. Will be calling them in the future for sure.”

“Incredibly warm and welcoming. Took many videos and pictures every day and shared with me while my two knuckleheads were there. I could tell my fur babies were well taken care of and enjoyed their time there. Will absolutely use everytime I’m there in town.”

“Elena watch my girl for a weekend. She was great! She sent me updates throughout the weekend, and was great to Communicate with. Was so nice to have peace of mind knowing my furbaby was safe and was being cared for really well. Will def book with her again!”

“Geraldine and Miriam took wonderful care of our little dog, we so appreciate their care, and are relieved to have someone on deck with whom we feel super comfortable to leave her in the future. ❤️”

“Carol and her husband were great. We were on a cruise, so didn’t have access to cell service but still received picture updates throughout the stay. I was very pleased with their hospitality and care they showed towards my dog. This was the first time in a long time I’ve had to board my pet, so I was hesitant with the process. But after meeting them and their own dogs, I was relieved with the process and situations. My dog is a Jack Russell puppy, so he has an abundant amount of energy and I hope that he wasn’t too much trouble for them. If I need boarding again, I will definitely see if Carol and her husband are available and willing to take my dog again. Thanks again!”

“I found out about rover through a neighborhood chat. I had to make a last minute trip to Tampa and found Holly on Rover. From the start, she made me feel at ease. She and her family took such great care of Chipper, sending daily updates, giving him plenty of walks, playtime, and love. When I picked him up, he actually ran back to her front door like he didn’t want to leave, kinda hurt me. That meant everything to me. I’m truly grateful for Holly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring Chipper back the next time I have to go out of town.”

“Thank you so much for caring for our furbaby Balenciaga. She was so loved and cared for and we appreciated the care you gave to her, and the pictures sent. We will definitely keep Myriam in our minds whenever we have to be away from our furbaby. Thank you again!”

About: With 20 years of dedicated experience caring for dogs, I offer a truly personalized and loving dog-sitting service right from my home. As I work remotely, your furry friend will enjoy almost constant companionship throughout the day, exploring the house and yard with frequent potty breaks every 3 to 4 hours. To ensure your dog receives my undivided attention and to maintain a calm, stress-free environment, I only host one dog at a time. This means your beloved companion will get all the snuggles, playtime, and walks they could wish for, without the distractions or anxieties of other dogs. I have a special place in my heart for Golden Retrievers and find immense joy in their sweet, friendly temperaments. While I welcome all well-behaved dogs, Goldens will find an especially enthusiastic admirer here! For the safety and comfort of your dog and my home, a few requirements ensure a smooth and happy stay: * Zero aggression issues: Your dog must be friendly and non-aggressive towards people and other animals (I have a miniature dachshund). * House-trained: This helps us maintain a clean and happy home environment. * Bring your own kennel: Familiar smells and comfort help your dog settle in. * Kennel-trained: For their security and a good night's rest, dogs will sleep soundly in their own kennel at night. I’ve had dogs my entire life and enjoy being around them and having them in my home. Any questions, please feel free to reach out. Your dog will be treated like a member of my family. Morgan is the best! Not only does she take amazing care of my pup but she also is so great about sending really thoughtful updates along the way. It makes my heart so happy to know she is taking care of my pup while I’m away because I know how well taken care of he will be. My flight back was delayed by almost 7 hours and Morgan was so flexible. I’m so grateful!!!

Heather has watched our sweet-but-very-anxious dog a few times and she is amazing! Our dog definitely requires more tlc, and Heather is so thoughtful and accommodating with her. This most recent trip, our dog was calm the whole time, which is great! Heather genuinely loves dogs and you can see that in her care.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such wonderful sitters for our older German Shepherd. Kristen and Jeff always give him exceptional care, attention, and love while we’re away, which gives us complete peace of mind. We couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Most importantly, I felt completely comfortable leaving my lab with Kayla. It was his first time staying with her and usually most would be nervous, I wasn’t. I could tell she genuinely enjoying having my lab stay there. I will be reaching out to Kayla from now on whenever I go out of town.

Can't give enough thanks for how wonderful Ernesto, Joan and the whole family are in taking care of our pup while away. 5 Stars for communication and care indeed. So grateful we found such a nice family to watch over our pup when we have to travel - knowing he's in such safe hands and having a great time all the same.

We are so grateful for the wonderful care Deborah gave our dog! She kept us updated with photos and messages, and it was clear our baby was happy, comfortable, and well loved. We especially appreciated how clean and well cared for she was when we picked her up. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
