“Deborah and her family were great with Bentley!! He looked so happy in all of his pictures and they were so accommodating. I think our pup even became a little protective of her and her family by the end of the visit and he only does that to people he truly cares about. I couldn’t recommend more!”

“I can't recommend Wallace enough! he provided excellent care for my furry companion while I was away, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I met him and JJ, I could tell that he is very passionate about our dogs' welfare. Wallace and JJ went above and beyond to ensure Oskar felt at home. I knew Oskar was in very capable hands. Not only did Wallace provide exceptional care, but also took the time to bond with Oskar and shower him with love and attention. It was evident when I came to pick him up, Oskar had formed a strong bond with Wallace and JJ which was incredibly reassuring. I know Oskar is looking for his next play date! Overall, I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding service provided by Wallace. He is professional, reliable, and genuinely cares about the well-being of animals. I will definitely be using their services again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Wallace, for taking such great care of Oskar!”

“Monica is just amazing! My husband and I had a vacation booked right when Hurricane Beryl was getting ready to make landfall. Monica took such fantastic care of our girls. Even without power, Monica still kept us updated and sent pictures of our dogs. She made sure they were well taken care of and safe! I can’t even express how blessed we are that Monica was watching our girls! We knew that they were in amazing hands.”

“Kristina and her husband were wonderful to work with and they took amazing care of Arthur. Easy drop of and pick up. Clear communications and no confusion. Great updates throughout his stay. He was loved and treated as one of their own dogs. And it showed. I will definitely be using this family again for my boardings in the future.”

“My hubby and I wanted to do a date night and didn't want to leave Mocha by herself for too long. We decided to have Maticka keep her overnight. She must've had fun, because she acted like she didn't want to leave! Thanks Maticka for the puppy hospitality!”

“Would definitely book again! Many updates given, ensured that my dog was taken care of and let me know if any concerns she had. Also was very flexible when I had to extend the stay. 10/10”

“Valentina was available to take our little guy on short notice. She took very good care of him and went above and beyond. We don't live in the Houston area but if we did, she would definitely be our regular sitter.”

“Chris and his wife are such a lovely couple. They are very welcoming and accommodative. They are very responsive and professional. They took care of our dog very well, I could see it in the pics they shared. They have a great house with yard for dogs to play. My dog had fun while he was there. Would love to keep my little one with them again for sure.”

“We have repeatedly let Carol and Ken sit our dog Igor. Each time has been great. A lovely boarding place that we can entrust our dog with. Igor also have playmates and so he always return home happy.”

“I found out about rover through a neighborhood chat. I had to make a last minute trip to Tampa and found Holly on Rover. From the start, she made me feel at ease. She and her family took such great care of Chipper, sending daily updates, giving him plenty of walks, playtime, and love. When I picked him up, he actually ran back to her front door like he didn’t want to leave, kinda hurt me. That meant everything to me. I’m truly grateful for Holly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring Chipper back the next time I have to go out of town.”

“Brittany was amazing as always. She took such good care of Shadow and I could see all the fun he was having. She sends lots of updates and gives me peace of mind knowing I have an amazing dog sitter whenever I am out.”

“I'm so grateful for Amy! I rarely travel without my sweet Nova, but decided to this time, and I had nothing to worry about. Amy was communicative, sent me photos, and made sure I knew my sweet girl was well taken care of. I plan on rebooking with Amy in the near future. 5 stars isn't enough. 10,000 out of 10!”

“Geraldine and Miriam took wonderful care of our little dog, we so appreciate their care, and are relieved to have someone on deck with whom we feel super comfortable to leave her in the future. ❤️”

“We had a great experience with Kristen and her husband helping us during a relatively long trip. They took outstanding care of our Shih Tzu. We would use their service again.”

“Deuce absolutely loves going and getting spoiled while at Delys’. She keeps us up to date/sends pictures and is great with him. Will definitely leave Deuce with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - The Woodlands
Jordan was fantastic. She is a very sweet lady who genuinely loves dogs. Great communication from the time we requested booking all way up to when we picked our puppy up. She even sent pictures everyday to show us how he was doing. We will definitely book with her again when we need a sitter.

Most importantly, I felt completely comfortable leaving my lab with Kayla. It was his first time staying with her and usually most would be nervous, I wasn’t. I could tell she genuinely enjoying having my lab stay there. I will be reaching out to Kayla from now on whenever I go out of town.

Can't give enough thanks for how wonderful Ernesto, Joan and the whole family are in taking care of our pup while away. 5 Stars for communication and care indeed. So grateful we found such a nice family to watch over our pup when we have to travel - knowing he's in such safe hands and having a great time all the same.

We are so grateful for the wonderful care Deborah gave our dog! She kept us updated with photos and messages, and it was clear our baby was happy, comfortable, and well loved. We especially appreciated how clean and well cared for she was when we picked her up. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

To say Lesly went above and beyond for us is an understatement!! She took amazing care of our two dogs while they were staying with her for our wedding week. We had a zoom stream of the ceremony for friends and family abroad and she streamed it so the puppies could “watch” their humans get married. Just the sweetest thing to do for us since we wish they could have been there with us. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an attentive, loving, and communicative sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
