“Morgan was fantastic! She communicated every step of the way and always sent photos even though my cat isn’t the most friendly. She performed every task that we discussed and a little extra, which was so great of her! I will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Abby was such a great sitter to work with. She was very prompt and took care of our cat. Communication was really good and we were very thankful for her as our sitter. Fiona Moon seemed to had a good time with her so we would be happy to have her again if we need to. Thanks again Abby!”

“Did such a wonderful job that we cancelled a friend we had coming over to rebook instead. Nothing but great appreciation for Samantha! Our dogs were perfectly cared for!”

“Michael was so great in keeping us up to date on how our dogs were doing. We got a lot of pictures. He also did some check in appointments with our cats. We always feel comfortable leaving our pets in his care.”

“Ainsley was very prompt in letting us know when she was at the house. She let us know daily which cats she interacted with and sent pictures and videos to let us know they were safe and happy.”

“Dianne did a wonderful job with our cat. We came home tonight and she was happy and not stressed. Which she has been before when we’ve left her. Dianne went above and beyond, even leaving her a little goody bag for Christmas. She is a great and trustworthy sitter.”

About: I have experience taking many dogs on walks and around town through volunteering with animal shelters and my own pets. I am not afraid of larger dogs and I have experience with both large and small dogs. I am available Friday-Sunday to dog sit in the Houston/Woodlands area and Monday-Wednesday in the college station Bryan area in the afternoon. I have experience with many different sized Dogs from my own pets which ranged from a small miniature dachshund to a large Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Aswell as experience with other animals through volunteering with local animal shelters by doing dog walks and “doggie day outs” to help socialize the dogs and give them time out of the shelter. Whether I am with my own Dogs or a shelter dog I always give them lots of attention and love and I make sure to have close attention to detail on the feeding and potty schedule.
“Joy was a complete Godsend during my recent vacation when I unexpectantly became hospitalized out of state. She was amazing in that she continued to care for my pets making certain that they were safe and well taken care of. Prompt checks-ins and photos gave me peace of mind during an uncertain time. She even did extra's along the way. Will definitely be using her again when in need of a pet sitter!”

“Zixin was amazing, we have 3 huskies that are so lovable but wild and stubborn and Zixin did an amazing job making sure they were all taken care of as well as being able to redirect them when needed in a very loving way. Will use him again for our next trip!!”

About: I've been caring for animals of all shapes and sizes for as long as I can remember, and I'm the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and just about everyone in my circle. My experience includes working in doggy daycare and animal shelters, where I cared for pets with a wide range of temperaments, energy levels, and needs. Because of that, I'm comfortable handling animals of any size and confident administering medications/taking care of any special needs. Beyond professional experience, I spend my time fostering both cats and dogs, helping them feel safe, loved, and cared for while they waited for their forever homes. Whether your pet is playful and energetic, shy and reserved, or requires a little extra attention, I strive to provide compassionate, reliable care and treat every animal as if they were my own. i'm currently working full time, i have a dog of my own who i take care of. most of my off the clock hours revolve around making sure she is happy and content! i plan to add your pets needs to that schedule! I have a dog park I use at my complex for some free roaming as well as walks at my nearest park. in home, i can crate if needed or your pet is welcome to hang out around the house with us!
About: I’ve raised my own golden since he was 7 weeks and have pet sat and dog walked for several friends and neighbors over the years. So I am very comfortable around puppies, senior dogs, as well as dogs with special needs. I work from home so I am with my fur baby all day when he needs something. And if I am house sitting, available all day for your pet as well. I take him out at least 2 times a day for walks or play time at the park. We like to walk along the neighborhood trails, George Mitchell Preserve, and the waterway. I also take him to the dog park when it’s not too hot.

Shelby is definitely the sitter that will keep you informed on your family pal and keep them happy! Our old man is usually shy and anxious, but she kept him playing, cuddled, and even took him on a nice walk. He’s definitely a dog that you don’t know his energy level sometimes, and she delivered no matter the time of day. Will definitely book again!

Mary took wonderful care of my kitty for the entire week I was gone. This was my first time using Rover and I’m soooo blessed to have had Mary Claire to watch over my cat while I was away. She was extremely reassuring, responsible and went above and beyond for my cat and myself. Nendo has some anxieties and grew very fond of Mary Claire. He was extremely comfortable with her. My home was clean and as it was when I left. Any favor I had asked for she did effortlessly with pictures included. Her debriefs were very detailed as I was left with no worries to leave Nendo in he care. I would highly recommend Mary Claire to anyone looking for an amazing sitter. Thank you for everything !

Morgan was so good with the kitties, we came home to happy cats that were happy too see their humans but not all out of sorts. Morgan was a great help and so communicative. As it was our first scheduled pet care there were minor normal hiccups as she is just learning our house and kitty tech. You won’t go wrong booking her to take care of your pets! Thanks so much Morgan! Looking forward to booking you again!

We’ve been using Carlie for a long time now, and she is our favorite! She’s so thorough, leaves detailed comments, and always plays with our cat and watches birds with him. Her & her son always treat our home with respect, they even got us a wedding gift! We don’t know what we’d do without her :)

Joy was a complete Godsend during my recent vacation when I unexpectantly became hospitalized out of state. She was amazing in that she continued to care for my pets making certain that they were safe and well taken care of. Prompt checks-ins and photos gave me peace of mind during an uncertain time. She even did extra's along the way. Will definitely be using her again when in need of a pet sitter!

5 stars are not enough to rate Alexis. We have hired her several times to care for our dear bassett and she always goes above and beyond - she is knowledgeable, trustworthy and most importantly, she connects deeply with dogs. We come home to a happy dog, a vacuumed home, notes and even thoughtful touches. Goose loves her like family, and so do we.

Clara was absolutely wonderful! My cat does not enjoy taking her daily pill, making it a challenging task, but Clara got the job done! She sent photos and gave me updates on Lyla while we were away. I appreciate her so much and would love to have her hangout with Lyla again :)

We have used Dianne for 3 years now with our cat. She is communicative, responsible, and our cat feels very comfortable with her. I highly recommend her! We travel a lot and it is so nice to know our girl is getting good care. Do not hesitate to book Dianne, you will be in good hands!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in The Woodlands. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
