“Very good and conscientious. worked hard to get the pets to know him. took the extra steps to ensure the pets (2 dogs, 3 cats) were well cared for. Work use again if we needed pet sitting.”

“Debra is amazing I was having Ankle Fushion surgery and I needed someone to take care of my very shy family of 3 (cats) she was amazing she went over and beyond to help me and my furbabies and my cats adore Debra. Shes awesome i will definitely be using her for my furbabies again 5 stars”

“Kristen and Jeff were amazing. We hired them to come to our home 4 times per day. This was my first time using this service because our normal Kennel was full for Spring Break. Now, after this experience with them, I would not hesitate to book them again. They are so professional and treated this like a job, rather than something they squeeze into their life’s schedule. They were on time, stayed and played with our dog, and provided very thorough updates with each visit. I honestly think our dog prefers them to us being home with her!”

“Lori is fantastic and goes the extra mile to ensure our dog had a fantastic time while we were away. We will use her again and can’t say enough with how great she is.”

“I can’t recommend Zoe enough! She took incredible care of Millie and Sadie, while I was away. From regular updates and photos to taking them for a walk. It’s such a relief to know I can trust someone so reliable, professional, and genuinely passionate about animals. Thank you so much – we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Abby was wonderful! She fit us in on short notice, communicated clearly, and was so gentle and sweet with our little old lady. We highly recommend her and will definitely book again”

“Gwen met Boomer for the first time and he gravitated to her as if she was a member of the family. She is well spoken, professional, caring and I would recommend her to other Rover members.”

“Samantha kept me updated every day she visited our cat. I loved that she sent pictures and videos. I would definitely rebook with her. I feel comfortable leaving our cat with her.”

“Ainsley was very prompt in letting us know when she was at the house. She let us know daily which cats she interacted with and sent pictures and videos to let us know they were safe and happy.”

“Kendall took great care of my dog—super attentive, always on time, and constantly keeping me updated. I can say she provided service in an extremely professional and caring way. I can’t hold back from saying how fantastic the care was and how flawlessly she did it. Every time I’ve worked with her, I’ve been happy, got the right service, and my dog received the best care.”

“Joy was a complete Godsend during my recent vacation when I unexpectantly became hospitalized out of state. She was amazing in that she continued to care for my pets making certain that they were safe and well taken care of. Prompt checks-ins and photos gave me peace of mind during an uncertain time. She even did extra's along the way. Will definitely be using her again when in need of a pet sitter!”

“Jordan was so good with my little fur babies leaving me detailed care notes to let me know they were in great hands. I am happy to have found a great local dogsitter who I can trust. I highly recommend her for the care of your dog(s).”

I have a dog park I use at my complex for some free roaming as well as walks at my nearest park. in home, i can crate if needed or your pet is welcome to hang out around the house with us!

Debra came through again for us! I was out of service a majority of the time she was watching our old girl. I felt safe and knew Rori was in great hands. We got great updates, and she made sure to update other family members since I was unavailable. Thank you Debra!

Morgan has taken care of my cats for the third time now, and I couldn’t be happier! She’s always reliable, caring, and great with both of them. Her daughter is also so respectful of animals and loves playing with my cats, which is so sweet. I always feel comfortable knowing they’re in such good hands!

Claudia was very responsive and communicated well before and during the period we were out of town. She was dependable and did each requesed visit around the times we had agreed upon. Our pups were well cared for and were very happy to see her. We will use Claudia again.

Maria did a fantastic job with our senior cat. He isn't most cooperative with medication but she made sure he got all his pills morning and evening. She sent pictures, videos, and updates with each visit and spent extra time with our cat. Would recommend Maria!

We’ve been using Carlie for a long time now, and she is our favorite! She’s so thorough, leaves detailed comments, and always plays with our cat and watches birds with him. Her & her son always treat our home with respect, they even got us a wedding gift! We don’t know what we’d do without her :)

5 stars are not enough to rate Alexis. We have hired her several times to care for our dear bassett and she always goes above and beyond - she is knowledgeable, trustworthy and most importantly, she connects deeply with dogs. We come home to a happy dog, a vacuumed home, notes and even thoughtful touches. Goose loves her like family, and so do we.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
