“Gladys is outstanding! She is incredibly caring, detail-oriented, and delivered so much information and pictures that we were entirely confident and assured during our trip. Our cats immediately felt safe and secure and came out for pets (they both can be shy and do not readily show themselves at all!). We recommend Gladys with the highest recommendation and are scheduling two more trips! Highly recommended with total confidence. Thank you so much Gladys!”

“She did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs while we were away. Knowing she was stopping by twice a day to feed and check on them gave us so much peace of mind. Communication was great and everything was handled exactly as we discussed. We came home to happy pups and everything in great shape. We would definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

“Kimberly is always wonderful with our cats, a 15 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. She is great every visit and gives detailed updates. We feel at ease when we travel as we know our fur babies will be well taken care of and loved. I highly recommend Kimberly, she’s the best!”

“We had a family emergency and Kayla was able to make room for our two pup to make sure thy were watered and let our. They love their time with her and we appreciate her flexibility.”
“We had a last minute change of plans for an event and needed a dog sitter to drop in for us. Thanh was available, responded very quickly, was very communicative of any questions or how the dogs did, and played very well with them. We definitely will be using her for as long as she is available!”

About: I've taken care of dogs over 15 years.. I have owned more than four dogs but a few have gained their furry wings... I do have a puppy in the home now. I have cared, loved, bathed, and fed my own dogs, dogs of family, and friends. I have cared for pups and seniors and administered various medications. Love small to medium sized breeds! I work part-time but I have a flexible schedule. I am available weekly and weekends to provide companionship, cuddles, and playtime to your fur baby. I have a fenced in backyard and a dog run where they can run around to get outside air and exercise, especially when the weather is not good. If your dog need to be crated, I can/will do so..
About: My names is Keyan (I go by KJ). I have been a dog dad for 10 years! I have a boxer pit mix! I have watched other friends dogs over the past years and have been doing Rover for almost two years now . I enjoy helping because we know how the need for help is ALWAYS there. I look forward to becoming your favorite sitter/walker! I work from home and am a dog dad so there is no day where I am not taking care of a dog (unless traveling). I work a standard “9-5” Mon-Fri but have pretty relaxed time after work and on weekends! I currently only am coming to pets where I do dog walks or dog sittings but whatever instructions I am provided I will be sure to follow as to give peace of mind to you while I take care of your four legged friend
About: I've always had pets and treated them like family. I respect and love them. So, I'll do the same with yours for your peace of mind! I'm currently studying in the mornings, so I have the afternoons free to do what I love most, which is supporting other families so their dogs are in good hands! I could feed him, take him for walks, and play with him, and follow all the recommendations his parents give me. Whatever's necessary for him and his parents to be well, too.
“Shea was great with our cat! She was a great communicator and understood how to handle our older cat. Our cat can sometimes be a bit cranky when we get back home but this time he was much more relaxed because of the time she spent with him.”

About: Howdy! Caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I absolutely love! Throughout my life, I've always had dogs and later worked full-time at a doggie daycare, where I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. During that time, I completed training classes and emergency pet care courses, giving me the knowledge to respond confidently in both everyday situations and unexpected ones. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, including seniors who may need extra patience, medication management, mobility support, or a slower pace. If you’re interested, I can also provide one-on-one training sessions during your pup’s stay to reinforce good manners, basic commands, or specific goals you may have. When your pet is with me, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special care requests you provide. I pay close attention to behavior and body language to ensure they’re feeling secure and well cared for at all times. I have a friendly, playful dog who loves making new friends, and two cats who have their own dedicated space to ensure everyone feels comfortable and stress-free. My home is structured, supervised, and pet-focused. Your pet will be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention, and personalized care throughout their stay. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I work full-time during the week as an analyst. However, I am hybrid and will be available to care for your pet! I have a pup of my own so I know how to work with their needs. I have a backyard for playing and a friendly dog that will keep your dog company! If needed, I can separate and focus on your pet.
“Great experience with this drop-in dog sitter! Communication was excellent, scheduling was easy and stress-free, and most importantly, Annie was happy to have a visitor while we were away. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was well cared for. Would definitely recommend!”

“TLDR: Giselle is amazing with both immediately friendly dogs and reactive dogs who need longer to warm up. Giselle was amazing with both of our girls! We have a labradoodle who is a true velcro dog and a terrier mix who is not a fan of strangers. We went through rover because we wanted our dogs to start getting used to new people. I was extremely nervous about leaving our terrier mix with someone new. She's not a biter but she does bark and charge at strangers who go near her. We scheduled a meet and greet a few days early with Giselle and she stayed until the terrier settled. During the actual drop ins, at first the terrier did not want to go to Giselle at all but Giselle was patient and sat with her to show her she was safe. By the second or third drop in, the terrier was not just okay with Giselle but genuinely excited to see her! We were so relieved that our dogs were comfortable while we were away.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
