“Sirrine did a fantastic job taking care of my cat while I was away! I appreciated her quick communication for booking, diligence in following instructions, & she sent great photos each day!”

“Tatiana was so helpful and thoughtful when watching our cats! She went above and beyond when caring for our fur-family, and she made sure to send a picture of each cat during each visit, which gave us great peace of mind. I will definitely be booking Tatiana again in the future to watch our cats when we travel!”

“Soraya was amazing with my girls. She showed up on time every day stayed the right amount of time and always kept me updated. We will be using her when we need someone in the future.”

About: From a young age i’ve always had a dog by my side! As I got older I got a puppy that I personally trained up until now. I’ve caught on to how dogs behave, warning signs and how to treat them. For the summer time I am available any portion of the day to come take care of your fuzzy friend! :) I have another job, but I still make time for my own dogs. However, I use more caution now because of the summer heat. Former school student who participated in afterschool clubs, volunteering and was in an agriculture program! My weekends are relatively free to come by as well as time for walks or check-ins in the evenings on weekdays. I have a fenced yard and two large dogs. They get lots of love daily, are very spoiled and get time at the park and their grandmothers home. I will take care of your dogs with the same amount of love as I do for mine!
“Laci did a great job with my pup, Blue! He was super relaxed and happy when I came home. He was well taken care of, everything was clean and orderly, and she even took care of bringing in my packages for me! She gave thorough updates so I could keep up with him while I was gone and I loved the pictures! I will definitely be using Laci again for my sitting needs.”

“Good responsibility. There was an incident that happened while James was walking my dogs with a neighbor’s dog outside unleashed. James remained calm and mitigated the situation giving me peace of mind that my pets are in good hands.”

“Evelyn is great! She took great care of my two fur babies. I appreciated the pictures and detailed report cards. She was prompt and followed directions. I will definitely book again.”

About: I’m currently a student at SFA, majoring in Forestry with a concentration in Wildlife Management. I love animals and always will. I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, rabbits, and hedgehogs. I also have experienced taking care of senior animals. I’m down to care for ANY & ALL pets including reptiles and insects. Your babies will receive lots of love in my care! I may or may not be available for summer as I’m am currently looking for an internship. If I get an internship in the area I will be available for weekends. I make sure I follow all directions given to me to the T. If the animal is going to be staying in my home I would prefer if they could come spend some time with my animals before they stay.
“Lauren is amazing. She respected my home, visited as scheduled, took great care of my fur baby, and communicated daily. All of which is very important to me. Highly recommended and I will be requesting her services again.”

“Danielle was amazing! She was very communicative and very sweet with Ivy. My dog is blind and crazy, and she took great care of her! I would highly recommend her and will be asking her to take care of Ivy in the future!”

About: I’m a 24 year old woman, who grew up with animals and riding horses. While in high school I would pet sit for my neighbors, and really enjoyed doing that. I have fostered kittens and I’m very familiar with taking care of cats as I have two of my own. Growing up with dogs ranging from 95 pounds to 11 pounds gives me a wide range of experience. I was an equestrian rider and would spend most of my time at the barn around a variety of animals. I’m looking to growing my career in animal sitting and animal care, and would love the opportunity to take care of your fur baby. I currently have a part time job aside from pet sitting fur babies. My hours are flexible, seven days a week as my schedule permits. I’m able to play with, give attention, scoop litter, feed and give treats, and I am also able to walk dogs if needed. While visiting your fur baby, their health and well being is my top priority. While tending to them I will also be observing for anything that seems out of the ordinary. I will give a brief summary after each visit with pictures.
“Madyson was so great checking in on my pup while I was out of town on business and my husband was at work. She was prompt and always took photos and let me know how Finley did. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone!”

“Kelsey was wonderful with our Tippy LuLu. She made sure to update us daily along with pictures. Kelsey has a sweet and warm personality that leaves you at peace with leaving the furbabies at home. I will definitely be calling her in the future to take care of our furbabies. Thank you Kelsey ?”

“We recently went on a cruise and needed someone to come over twice a day and play with and feed Ranger, our German Shepard, so we found and hired Kendyll through the Rover app. Kendyll was great! She always showed up within the appointment time frame and kept us well informed about the 30 minute drop in visits along with pictures of Ranger. Highly recommend!”

“TLDR: Giselle is amazing with both immediately friendly dogs and reactive dogs who need longer to warm up. Giselle was amazing with both of our girls! We have a labradoodle who is a true velcro dog and a terrier mix who is not a fan of strangers. We went through rover because we wanted our dogs to start getting used to new people. I was extremely nervous about leaving our terrier mix with someone new. She's not a biter but she does bark and charge at strangers who go near her. We scheduled a meet and greet a few days early with Giselle and she stayed until the terrier settled. During the actual drop ins, at first the terrier did not want to go to Giselle at all but Giselle was patient and sat with her to show her she was safe. By the second or third drop in, the terrier was not just okay with Giselle but genuinely excited to see her! We were so relieved that our dogs were comfortable while we were away.”

About: I grew up always having dogs in my home. I have also fostered dogs and I currently volunteer in the Animal Care department at the Dumb Friends League. I have two pups, Ruby (mini aussie) and Harvey (lab mix). I know how hard it is to find a good dog sitter, which is why I wanted to start dog sitting myself. I’m overprotective when it comes to my two pups, so you really have nothing to worry about when they stay with me. At my home, I keep everything tidy and am able to accommodate any schedule they might be on. Your dog will get plenty of exercise in our backyard or on walks (if you’re comfortable). I would love to take care of your fur baby! Please let me know if there are any special instructions you’d like and I’d be happy to accommodate. I make my own schedule for work, so I can easily come home for a quick potty break, or for whatever your dogs needs are! I have a fenced yard that’s completely secure, and I always stay outside when the pups are outside. I will never leave your dog outside unattended!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Atascocita
Houston experienced severe storms today. Gladys observes all the changes and stressors that are happening with our two cats and is so caring. I know and see all that is happening through Gladys’ camera lense-I am so thankful and grateful! Gladys is an amazing Petsitter!

Adriana has given me such peace of mind while my son and I have both started working away from home. My pack are so use to someone always being home. She’s so patient and willing to find what works for them. I’m so appreciative of her. She is communicative and attentive to my concerns and requests.

Karissa has been the best of all pet sitters I had. She shows care for the pets, she will ask questions, because she wants to do things right, that means a lot, someone who cares will ask, because she's concerned that everything goes well. Often times she will stay more than the required time and one time she even returned because Karissa was concerned about the health of one of the kitties. If you ask me if I would be using Karissa again, the answer is YES! She is amazing.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
