She is also a flight student and proud member of the Army National Guard. When she’s not flying, she has plenty of time to walk and watch dogs—though her schedule is sometimes finalized the afternoon before. The flight schedule does often require her to be gone anywhere between 3-6 hours. Normally she’s able to keep a visit within a 2 hour time frame.

Known as the “Doggy Aunt” to many families, Aunt Kira treats every pup like her own. She’s a winner of the Star Sitter program, recognized for being responsive, reliable, and providing consistently high-rated care. When she takes pups outside she watches them attentively. She can also help teach your pup new tricks. For Kira, pet sitting isn’t just a job—it’s family.

Information Kira R. would like to know about your pet

I need to know how the dog is generally around other people and dogs. I also need to know if there are any triggers your dog might have.

A typical day

I try to keep the pups schedules as close to yours as I can. I also allow the dogs space to warm up to me and do not force any dogs or cats. My favorite part of training is building up a dog’s confidence through simple obedience and fun tricks. If there is a place you know your dog loves to go, just let me know.

We enjoyed meeting Kira and so did our dog Twix. He needs medication and Kira was very responsible about taking care of that. We felt that Twix was in good hands and recommend Kira for your house sitting and pet sitting needs.

Kira did an absolutely, fantastic job. Showed up for the 10 visits on time, everytime. Sent photos of my dogs each and every visit. I trusted her in my home and she proved herself to be trustworthy. I am so completely satisfied and will inquire her services again in the future. I recommend Miss Kira to anyone looking for a great pet sitter. Thank you, Kira.

Kira was great with our cats! She had patience with our skittish gal.
