“she is such a great sitter for my fur babies!! first time using rover & im so glad i used alexa! i was so nervous leaving my dogs as one of them has neurological issues but i know they were both well taken care of by alexa!! definitely will be using her again!! 🖤”

“Lauren was amazing with our pups, even with the ones that typically take a while to warm up to people. She had great communication and thorough notes and pictures of her time with them. Definitely recommend her!”

“This was my first time using Rover for drop ins for my dog, Jax, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Evelyn adhered to the agreed upon care plan and was punctual, friendly, and took great care of Jax. She took him on varied length walks, ensuring he got plenty of exercise and stimulation. Evelyn sent me daily updates with pictures, which I really appreciate. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she walks. Evelyn was flexible with our scheduling and happily accommodated us when our flight was delayed. Upon arriving home Jax was happy and well cared for which is exactly what I was hoping for. I highly recommend Evelyn to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker/care person.”

“My dog loves Gisselle and she takes such great care of her! She’s very good with my dog and very reliable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone great to care for your pet!”

“Shea was great with our cat! She was a great communicator and understood how to handle our older cat. Our cat can sometimes be a bit cranky when we get back home but this time he was much more relaxed because of the time she spent with him.”

“Claudia went the extra mile! She met with me before I left on vacation to pick up the house key and review care instructions for my cats. While I was away she communicated daily. My thermostat was turned up to 95 by a repair man that came by. She texted me to ask about it and turned the temp down at my request. Then she came by when I got home and returned the house key to me personally (in the rain) I highly recommend her!!”

“Sirrine was perfect for our two dogs. Rez and Heidi had nothing but love during our trip away. Sirrine gave us up to date information about our girls and went a step above to clean up a bed one of the girls soiled. We are so grateful for her kindness. We 100% would recommend her service. We will use Sirrine again in the very near future!!!”

“Jillian is amazing with our pets and communicates very well for every visit. Dogs are excited to see her every time she arrives, and has even helped get our senior dog playing again.”

About: Howdy! I’m Liz, proud pet owner and lover of all animals. I currently have a 10yo AmStaff/Pit mix, a 6yo chocolate Lab mix, and a 14yo calico cat. I’ve never NOT had pets around me growing up, from a 6lb toy poodle to 100lb+ mutts to cats of all temperaments. One of my greatest joys in life is giving my pets a lavish life, because they deserve it; i’d love to care for your baby in the same way. ❤️ I’m super flexible with the care of your pooch, anything you need, I can provide! I will always be 100% honest with you as your canine care provider. Give me the nitty gritty details, requests, needs, etc. and i’m more than happy to follow your lead. I work a non-standard schedule, so there is someone in the house (myself or my partner) Saturday through Tuesday and pets are only solo between 11am-5pm Wednesday through Friday. I’m happy to provide everything you and your pet(s) need. My priority is making sure you have peace of mind while you’re away, knowing your babies are loved, safe, and cared for. I stay in close communication with owners for the duration of services. I love to send pictures, text updates, let you know when I arrive/leave, and I ALWAYS triple check locks/gates/etc.
“Mille is wonderful. I recommend her to every one. She took wonderful wonderful care of my furry babies. She sent me videos and pictures to show me how my babies where doing while we were out of town.”

About: Hey there - I'm Chelsea! I grew up in an animal-loving family and now have a dog and two cats of my own. I’m a former student-athlete and continue to live an active lifestyle and love playing with my animals, and yours! I am trustworthy and accountable and will take very good care of your animals as if they are my own. I have quite the experience with a variety of different breeds and I will responsibly and lovingly take care of your babies. Whatever you may need, you can count on me! I work remotely from home, which allows me to care for your animals around the clock. If you prefer me to come to your home where your pets are most comfortable, I can work remotely from there too, so that your pets will always have company and care. I am always looking out for the safety of your animals. Though my yard is fenced, I will never leave your dogs unattended outside. I pay strong attention to detail and will always make sure your pets are properly fed and have fresh water and any medication they may need. If you are welcoming me into your home to care for your pets, you can rest assured that your home will be well-kept and secure while you are away.
“Kimberly did an excellent job watching my pups. She was flexible with my schedule and was able to accommodate my last minute drop-in request. Kimberly provided excellent visit summaries and I felt comfortable relaxing knowing that I was returning to my dogs being well cared for. About: I have grown up with 2 of my own dogs so I understand the deep love we all have for our pets and how much apart of our family they are. I understand how to take care of dogs and the attention they require. I have pet sat for many friends with dogs of all breeds and sizes so I am very comfortable around big and small dogs. I also have much experience with senior pups. I understand that they need a little extra love and attention which I am more than happy to give. I can give walks and give baths and play with them when they need to get the zoomies out! Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I am a full time in person student but I am able to plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special needs a pet may have, such as medications or extra supervision. The typical morning and evening visits are automatically fit into my schedule and middle of day visits can be arranged if your pet needs it. In my client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully, including administering medications or providing senior care if needed. I also keep the environment clean and safe, and monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health. Any gates or doors will remain closed and locked to ensure your home and pets safety. I also send daily pup reports so that my clients can see their pets and be informed of any updates.
“Vickie's the best!! We were nervous about leaving our babies home while we went to Galveston for fathers day weekend, but Vickie took care of it no problem! The update photos were so nice as it let us know everyone was happy and healthy. She gave them a little more food thanbwe usually do but no complaints - it was just a little treat for the cats! Thank you Vickie!!! We'll book again in the future”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Humble. On Rover:

- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
