“Sirrine was great, my kitties were happy and everything was clean when I got home. They both need medications, so I was a little worried to book with a new sitter because it can get complicated to give cats meds, but mine seemed to warm to Sirrine on her first visit.”
“Kimberly did an excellent job watching my pups. She was flexible with my schedule and was able to accommodate my last minute drop-in request. Kimberly provided excellent visit summaries and I felt comfortable relaxing knowing that I was returning to my dogs being well cared for. I highly recommend her and would like to hire her again in the future.”

“Shea was great with our cat! She was a great communicator and understood how to handle our older cat. Our cat can sometimes be a bit cranky when we get back home but this time he was much more relaxed because of the time she spent with him.”

“Jillian was a perfect sitter for our two cats! She followed our instructions to a T and went above and beyond with our boys! Would recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a sitter.”

“Wendy was absolutely fantastic with my two pups for daily drop-in visits while I was out of the country. She made everyone, pups included, happy and comfortable. I would absolutely use Wendy’s wonderful pet services again!”

“Alexa was very attentive to our senior dog's needs and kept us well updated throughout her visits. Our dog felt incredibly comfortable around her and we feel very comfortable using her in the future as well.”

About: My personal experience involves the care of my own two dogs and my fosters over the past four years. My fosters have ranged from puppies to senior dogs, big to small! I’ve cared for over 50 dogs until adoption. I currently have a full-time job in education, but I have time during long holiday breaks, summers, and weekends that I would like to dedicate to pet care. I have experience caring for fosters so I can adjust my care depending on the needs of your pet! I have two dogs of my own and currently fostering and older pittie. I understand the responsibility of caring for your precious fur babies and would work to earn your trust in my care.
About: Howdy! Caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I absolutely love! Throughout my life, I've always had dogs and later worked full-time at a doggie daycare, where I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. During that time, I completed training classes and emergency pet care courses, giving me the knowledge to respond confidently in both everyday situations and unexpected ones. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, including seniors who may need extra patience, medication management, mobility support, or a slower pace. If you’re interested, I can also provide one-on-one training sessions during your pup’s stay to reinforce good manners, basic commands, or specific goals you may have. When your pet is with me, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special care requests you provide. I pay close attention to behavior and body language to ensure they’re feeling secure and well cared for at all times. I have a friendly, playful dog who loves making new friends, and two cats who have their own dedicated space to ensure everyone feels comfortable and stress-free. My home is structured, supervised, and pet-focused. Your pet will be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention, and personalized care throughout their stay. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I work full-time during the week as an analyst. However, I am hybrid and will be available to care for your pet! I have a pup of my own so I know how to work with their needs. I have a backyard for playing and a friendly dog that will keep your dog company! If needed, I can separate and focus on your pet.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for most of my life, and I’ve spent the past 5 years working professionally at a dog boarding and daycare facility, where I’ve been a manager for the last 2½ years. My experience includes caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, personalities, and energy levels, as well as senior dogs and pets with special needs. Through my job, I’ve also provided in-home care for clients whose pets needed care outside of our facility, including daytime visits, drop-ins, and overnight stays. I’ve cared for pets in their own homes as well as provided sitting in my home for friends and people I know. I’m comfortable handling dogs who require extra attention, including dogs with mobility limitations, paralyzed dogs, medication schedules, special feedings, and other individualized routines. I understand how important it is to follow each pet’s routine closely and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. Outside of work, I grew up with multiple dogs and cats and have always had a strong love for animals. One of my own dogs was a Terrier/Chihuahua mix who lived to be 16 years old, so I especially understand the patience and care that senior pets need. Whether your dog needs an energetic play session, a relaxing day, medication, special feeding, an overnight stay, or simply some extra love and attention, I’m comfortable adapting to their individual needs. My goal is to give every pet the same level of care, patience, and attention that I would want for my own. I currently work full time but like to spend my off days(Mondays,Friday and Saturdays) doing things I love. I tend to do any pet sitting available but if not I go on walks or hikes with my dog, I will sometimes have my cat join us in his travel backpack. I prefer caring for pets in the owners home because it’s less stressful for them while their loved ones are away, I believe it’s better for them to be in a familiar environment. I care for eat pet like it’s my own, I’m a big believer that pets are family not just animals!
“My dog loves Gisselle and she takes such great care of her! She’s very good with my dog and very reliable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone great to care for your pet!”

About: Hey there - I'm Chelsea! I grew up in an animal-loving family and now have a dog and two cats of my own. I’m a former student-athlete and continue to live an active lifestyle and love playing with my animals, and yours! I am trustworthy and accountable and will take very good care of your animals as if they are my own. I have quite the experience with a variety of different breeds and I will responsibly and lovingly take care of your babies. Whatever you may need, you can count on me! I work remotely from home, which allows me to care for your animals around the clock. If you prefer me to come to your home where your pets are most comfortable, I can work remotely from there too, so that your pets will always have company and care. I am always looking out for the safety of your animals. Though my yard is fenced, I will never leave your dogs unattended outside. I pay strong attention to detail and will always make sure your pets are properly fed and have fresh water and any medication they may need. If you are welcoming me into your home to care for your pets, you can rest assured that your home will be well-kept and secure while you are away.
About: At 14, I had the responsibility of caring for and training a malamute I begged for. She almost became a therapy dog! Safe to say, I dedicated a lot of time and effort into caring and loving her, as well as EVERY dog I’ve cared for since! Friends and family have trusted me for years to watch their dogs while away, ensuring a good walk, play time, and some belly rubbing time! I can also help with behavioral training for puppies and young dogs. Seniors dogs are loved, given oral medication gently, and their energy levels are respected on walks. However, no shots/injections. I hope to meet you and your pup soon! I currently have a free schedule for you and your pet’s needs— whether it’s early morning, midday, or late at night! We can make any time work Prior to any in home service, I do request meeting the animals before services beginning so they can recognize me as a familiar person. This would also give you a chance to show me their food/toys/leashes/meds/etc! I will not enter any private room for my own safety.
“Tatyana was amazing, did a drop in with my pup and he loved her. She’s super quick to respond, very kind and easy going. Would recommend her to anyone!”

“This was our first leaving our babies. Claudia made this process very easy and comfortable. She reassured us that our babies were always doing good. I will definitely like to have Claudia take care of our babies again.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
