“Kimberly was amazing with my babies … if she was running late (because things happen and that’s okay!) she made sure to let me know ☺️… great communication throughout our visits 🙏🏻… trustworthy and very reliable!! Thank you Kimberly!”

“Kylie made herself available for a last minute request and took care of everything I asked her to do. She was communicative and kept me informed during her drop in unprompted. I would definitely use her again in the future”

“Nathan is such a nice guy! :) He came in and loved on our animals (4 cats and 1 dog) for 2 days and we really enjoyed his services. Each animal has a different feeding method and Nathan took care of them no problem. Our high strung dog took to Nathan immediately which was awesome to see when he came over to meet them. We will definitely be using Nathan’s services when we’re away next!”

“Wendy was absolutely fantastic with my two pups for daily drop-in visits while I was out of the country. She made everyone, pups included, happy and comfortable. I would absolutely use Wendy’s wonderful pet services again!”

“Lesly has been so reliable, and has saved me with some short notice requests when I needed coverage! I can tell by my pup’s photos that she is really comfortable and happy around Lesly! Thank you LB!”

“She did a really good job. There were some issues with flights and a winter storm when she was trying to get home from Christmas vacation and she didn’t land till 9:30 at night. She still showed up to the house even though it was late and did the check in. She went above and beyond. She even brought my packages into the house that were on the front door step. Highly recommend her to watch your animals!”

“I very much appreciate Lisa’s flexibility when I accidentally left my old address on my profile, and she was willing to drive the 10 minutes away to my new apartment to make sure my pup was taken care of ❤️”

“Vickie's the best!! We were nervous about leaving our babies home while we went to Galveston for fathers day weekend, but Vickie took care of it no problem! The update photos were so nice as it let us know everyone was happy and healthy. She gave them a little more food thanbwe usually do but no complaints - it was just a little treat for the cats! Thank you Vickie!!! We'll book again in the future”

“Emily does frequent check ins with my Dexter and always takes great care of him! She keeps you updated and sends several pictures! I would highly recommend”

“Excellent communication and plenty of picks. Love the fact she wanted to see my puppy beforehand so that he could get used to her scent making it a safe environment for him and her. Highly recommend!”

“My cat, Phoenix, absolutely adored Vicki! She took great care of both him and my aquarium fish. She's punctual, thorough, and is overall a joy to work with. I'll definitely book her in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of mine and my family’s pets since I was 14 years old. I’ve had multiple pets myself. I have reptiles as well! I do work at a frozen daiquiri company as a manager. I rarely ever go in to the actual stores. I make sure they all have everything they need to run. I just need a little something on the side I do know how to somewhat train, I personally trained both of my dogs since they were puppies. If any accidents happen inside they will be promptly cleaned and sanitized.
About: I’ve grown up caring for dogs and have experience looking after my own pets as well as helping care for dogs belonging to family and friends. I’m comfortable with dogs of different ages, including puppies, and I also enjoy caring for cats. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m available for pet care around my school schedule, with the most flexibility on weekdays. I’m especially available for morning and daytime walks and drop-in visits on days when I don’t have classes. I’m dependable and will make sure each pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they need during my visit Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep pets supervised and secure, and make sure they have everything they need during my visit. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, including puppies, and I’ll take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs. I’ll also keep your home clean and treat it with the same care and respect I would my own.
“I was so worried about finding someone to face Raurie and get past her without getting hurt. My rescued Bully is more than particular about who she allows in the house and yard. She has never bit anyone but she does grab pants cuffs and shirt sleeves to let folks know who is the boss. Alexa has the patience, skill, experience and courage to recognize Raurie's bluff and move past it. The fact is, this was the most relaxing time away I've had in years. Thank you!”

“They took amazing care of our two dogs while we were out of town. Very dependable and great communication. Sometimes when we leave, the dogs don’t eat and seem to shut down but this wasn’t the case at all this time. Thank you so much!!”

“April is amazing! She has experience with anxious dogs which is great since we have a very nervous rescue. She plays with them, teaches them tricks, and takes them for walks. She goes above and beyond!”

“Sarah cares for my babies like they are her own. My pups get so excited to see her - whether it is arriving at her home for an overnight or her coming to our house for a drop in, they love her and her family. So grateful to have found someone we trust with our babies!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Porter. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
