About: I’ve taken care of mine and my family’s pets since I was 14 years old. I’ve had multiple pets myself. I have reptiles as well! I do work at a frozen daiquiri company as a manager. I rarely ever go in to the actual stores. I make sure they all have everything they need to run. I just need a little something on the side I do know how to somewhat train, I personally trained both of my dogs since they were puppies. If any accidents happen inside they will be promptly cleaned and sanitized.
“Kat has watched my very needy and clingy senior cat a few times while I work out of town for weeks at a time. The quality of time and affection she has provided, along with cleaning his litter box and refilling water and food is excellent. I highly recommend Kat and will be using her again and again.”

“Vickie's the best!! We were nervous about leaving our babies home while we went to Galveston for fathers day weekend, but Vickie took care of it no problem! The update photos were so nice as it let us know everyone was happy and healthy. She gave them a little more food thanbwe usually do but no complaints - it was just a little treat for the cats! Thank you Vickie!!! We'll book again in the future”

“Absolutely amazing! My dog loved her and i know cat did too. She made sure they were comfortable and played with them as well as give me updates on how they were doing. I definitely recommend her and i’d book her again!”

“We love Sirena. She does a wonderful job caring for our two pups. She is always in clear communication with us and a wonderful problem solver if there has ever been an issue! We are very grateful for Sirena.”

“I very much appreciate Lisa’s flexibility when I accidentally left my old address on my profile, and she was willing to drive the 10 minutes away to my new apartment to make sure my pup was taken care of ❤️”

“Kylie made herself available for a last minute request and took care of everything I asked her to do. She was communicative and kept me informed during her drop in unprompted. I would definitely use her again in the future”

“Cassandra did an amazing job. She communicated well throughout our absence and sent lots of pictures of Magellan. The pictures showed that she developed a real relationship with him. She took the time to play with him, not just stop, feed, scoop poop, and leave. She's a keeper!”

About: I have a dog of my own that is 13 years old and half blind, so I am very familiar with senior dogs. I have also watched my friends dogs over the weekend, but I only have experience with watching 1-3 dogs at a time. I prefer not to spend the night, and because I am in school I can only work the weekends. I would also like to add that I am 18 years old and if you have any questions, let me know! Since it is summer, I am free pretty much 24/7. Once school starts again I will have to see what my class schedule is (I am going to University of Arkansas). I love walking and can do super long walks if you have a really active pup! I personally do not board animals in my home due to my dog, but I am willing to go to yours! I always make sure doors are locked and that the animal is having fun. I live to cuddle and play or whatever your pet likes to do. I have worked with crate and non crate animals so unless you have any specific instructions, I know what to do!
“Melissa has been amazing with our pups! She took care of 2 of them and her report cards and pictures helped reduce our anxiety about leaving them behind, and made us smile with stories of their antics. She has a sincere love of animals and cared for ours like they were her own. She is amazing and we will absolutely use her again.”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life (currently a mom of a dog and a cat) and love taking care of animals with all my heart! I’m currently home from college and thought that this would be a good way to make money on the side while I job hunt! I’m very experienced with senior pets (currently own a 17 year old cat). I’ve put a lot of time learning how to gain trust of animals and how to understand their body language and emotions, so stressed pets aren’t common with me! Every day is a good day to play with animals for me ! Currently looking for a part time job, but nothing that will take up too much of my time to visit your animals and take care of your pets. My weekends are entirely open as well! I’m very communicative on the status of your pet and how they’re doing, and I always give lots of pets if they like them! Your house will appear just as you left it, and your pet will be happy, walked, fed, and not lonely at all!
“Gisselle , was an amazing ! It was my first time using Rover and couldn’t have found a more perfect dog sitter for my fur babies ! She was trustworthy, reliable, and a great caregiver . She also constantly communicated with us and sent photos every day ! We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“We could tell by Lily’s smiles how much she enjoyed Ruth taking care of her. Ruth took great pictures, was timely and stayed in touch with us. So happy to have found Ruth!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities for years, helping friends, family, and neighbors with feeding, walking, and playtime. As a labor and delivery nurse, I’m extremely attentive, responsible, and calm under pressure, so your pet will always be in safe hands. I have pets of my own, so I understand how important it is to keep them comfortable, loved, and on their routine. I’m also comfortable giving medications if needed and providing updates so you feel at ease while you’re away. I have an old girl (my Dalmatian Layla) who has been on meds for years so I have the experience needed! As a night shift nurse, I’m home and available during the day, which allows me to give your pet plenty of attention, supervision, and care. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods, and I can maintain a consistent routine with frequent potty breaks, playtime, and rest. I’m available for boarding most days and weekends, with flexibility for drop-ins and walks. My schedule allows me to be attentive, dependable, and fully present for your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fenced yard and a safe, pet-friendly home, along with two friendly, well-socialized dogs. I supervise all interactions closely and can separate or crate pets if needed. “Nathan is such a nice guy! :) He came in and loved on our animals (4 cats and 1 dog) for 2 days and we really enjoyed his services. Each animal has a different feeding method and Nathan took care of them no problem. Our high strung dog took to Nathan immediately which was awesome to see when he came over to meet them. We will definitely be using Nathan’s services when we’re away next!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Timberlane Acres. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
