“Nikki was great. She was very mindful of our pets. Provided wonderful photos while we were out. And corresponded on any concerns she saw arise with our pets. It will give me great peace of mind going forward to work with Nikki again to take care of our pets while we were out of town. She definitely goes above and beyond.”

“Rose was wonderful during a recent trip out of town. We have a senior cat and were afraid of leaving her alone for an extended time. Rose was timely and provided ample photos while we were away each day. Will definitely book again.”

About: I love all animals and will always treat them with kindness and respect. I know how difficult it is when there owner is gone and I will make sure help them till they get back. I am a stay at home mom who has grown kids. I don’t have a schedule that I would complicate me working around others. I am available for any time of the day. I will spend time with the animals and make sure they are fed and have clean water. If the owner need me to do other things for the animals I can also do that.

“Aubrey was amazing! She came for a check-in visit, fed the dogs, and gave medication to one of them. The dogs absolutely loved her, and she did a wonderful job. She even sent photos, which gave us extra peace of mind. We’d happily book with Aubrey again!”

“This was my first time using this platform and wasn’t disappointed! Natali was great dropping in and checking up on Lu! Everything I asked from Natali was met, Lu loved her since she met her and I would definitely be booking again in the future! Highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. My dog has been all over flying with me. My pets are my babies and so will your dog! I live in an apartment with a massive dog park and a huge grass area! I also have a fenced in yard that they can lounge in as well. I will also take them on long walks as well. I would love to take care of your cat too, but I would only be able to do in a drop in visit. I have experience giving medication, eye drops, ointment to animals! I work a desk job during the week but live super close to home to stop and check in! I also love walking dogs short or far distances! Currently missing my kitty so I would love to drop in on your cat after work:) I would love any information regarding how to make your pets stay the best stay. I will send a ton of updates and pictures of their stay. We will go for long walks and have tons of play time!
“Emily did an amazing job with my Monte! She made Monte feel comfortable while I was away. She always took pics and made sure to communicate. I will most definitely use Emily again in the future when I need assistance with my dog baby.”

“She did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs while we were away. Knowing she was stopping by twice a day to feed and check on them gave us so much peace of mind. Communication was great and everything was handled exactly as we discussed. We came home to happy pups and everything in great shape. We would definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

“I highly recommend Kimberly! She took amazing care of my dog and went above and beyond by cleaning a mess our dog had made. If you need a dog sitter look no further it’s Kimberly.”

About: My experience with animals comes from growing in a household with pets who had different personalities. We opened our home to any stray that came to our door . I’ve been involved with the rescue community since 2018 , it helped me grow to understand animal behavior . Personally own a pet that requires specific routine due to not getting along with other animals . I own 5 of my own & foster 2 . I understand how difficult it may be to find someone who can handle a rotation household . How important it is for safety reasons to keep some pets away from each other . As a dog groomer I also work with a lot of anxious pets who take time to adjust. I’m a full time dog groomer , have more time after work to spend with your pet . Helps me understand more about animals in different environments For my drop in pets I will make sure to spend time with them so they don’t feel alone at home. Being away is already hard on them. For those pets with behavioral issues I’d make sure to respect their space and understand what their needs are .
“Kimberly was very professional, super detailed oriented and made the process so easy and stress free. It was our first time using the app and leaving our cats with a new person. She was sending text messages that she is on the way, asking if anything extra needed and sending all the photos with updates. We are glad that we found her and would highly recommend!”

“Julie was great, Jax loved spending time with her during drop-in visits. She was prompt and reliable and took extra care to make sure he was comfortable with her during the meet-n-greet. We won't hesitate to use her again.”

We had another wonderful experience with Katelyn. This was our second time hiring her, and she always gives us complete peace of mind while we are away. She keeps us updated, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about animals. Our cat was perfectly cared for, and we will definitely continue to use her services in the future!

Dennis was great with my cats he was very caring and intuitive with them. My Boy Sunny really loved Dennis 🥰 he was amazing he was a great help to me and caring for my cats I have early hours to feed my cats and a feral at 5:30 am which is really early and hard for a lot of people to do Dennis was here no Problem. 5 stars ⭐️

We had a wonderful experience leaving our mischievous duo with Abigail. She sent regular updates and the sweetest photos throughout our trip, which made it so much easier to relax while we were away. We especially loved that she gave them plenty of time in the backyard to run around and play—they clearly got some great zoomies and extra attention, which they adored. Abigail was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We already have more trips planned and would book her again in a heartbeat for Mack and Siena. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, fun cat sitter!

This is the first time I have used Rover and Nicki. Every day Nicki came on time and stayed the entire half an hour. Took care of my cat as I would have done myself. Absolutely no regrets and no complaints. From now on Nicki is going to be my go to cat sitter.
This is the third time we've had Stephanie take care of our cats and she always does a great job! The door is always safely locked and the key back where I had it hidden every time we come home. It's nice to have a great sitter that you can trust with your pets and your home!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Spring. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
