“We are always super happy with Rose’s drop in visits for our cat. He is always talkative when we get home but is very well cared for while we are away. Thank you, Rose!”

“Nikki was great. She was very mindful of our pets. Provided wonderful photos while we were out. And corresponded on any concerns she saw arise with our pets. It will give me great peace of mind going forward to work with Nikki again to take care of our pets while we were out of town. She definitely goes above and beyond.”

“Coralie is a true gem! We are new to the area and don’t know anyone. Our pups are seniors and we were so anxious to leave them with a stranger. We never have. Coralie was so kind and reassured us they would be well cared for. Our littlest is very standoff-ish and Coralie was so patient with her and the wall came down for my little. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! But to top off her care of our dogs, she took the time to wash their bowls, prep more food, and thaw out more so we wouldn’t have to worry about it when we got home very late. She goes above and beyond.”
“Again - Emily is the best pet sitter. Always so reliable and trust her with my kitten. Always goes above and beyond to take photos of my cat while I’m away which is the best. Thank you Emily!!!!”

“Christine was amazing. She took the job, and in less than an hour was at my door. I like to say, taking care of my animals is a no-brainer. I just wanna come home and have them still alive. Christine did a great job, and managed to give the some great lovin’ as well.”

“She is absolutely amazing! Truly loves dogs! She did a drop in visit for me! I got lots of pictures and an amazing update about my dog! She put my mind at ease for the first time I had someone check in on my dog! Will definitely have her check on my dog again!”

“Olivia did an incredibly job. Her patience, kindness and flexibility to ensure Lulu got the care she needed means so much to me. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a caretaker for their pet— especially if you have a cat that requires medicine to be administered or specific care tasks to be completed. Super friendly too! Thanks so much!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our first time using a service like Rover, and we were a little nervous about having someone come into our home. However, our sitter exceeded our expectations! Her communication was excellent, and she was incredibly patient with our Boston Terrier and Shih Tzu, even when they had no interest in eating because we were gone. She took the time to make sure they ate and were comfortable, which we truly appreciated. She was precise with timing, did a fantastic job caring for them, and even captured the best photos—better than the ones I take! With her attentiveness and love for animals, I have no doubt she is going to be a fantastic vet. We can’t wait to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable and caring drop in sitter!”

“Aubrey was amazing! She came for a check-in visit, fed the dogs, and gave medication to one of them. The dogs absolutely loved her, and she did a wonderful job. She even sent photos, which gave us extra peace of mind. We’d happily book with Aubrey again!”

“Sara is so sweet and you can tell she loves animals. My 2 little ones liked her from the very first meeting. She came twice a day to feed, play and let them outside. I was so relieved on my trip and knew I had nothing to worry about. I highly recommend her.🥰🐶🐶”

“Bethany was kind, caring and took great care of my doggos! One of my dogs needs medication and she was sure to arrive and administer it in a timely manner. Would highly recommend her!”

“Amy is the best! We traveled overseas for 10 days & she took top-notch care or our 2 kitties - one of which requires 2 oral meds daily. She goes above and beyond making sure that our pets are well taken care of while on business of vacationing. We have been using Amy for our petsitting for over 2 years now. Thanks again, Amy”

“Tamara took care of Sunny while I took a vacation. She spent the time and walked him as much as possible. Very happy with Sunny upon my return, all looked good in my home. This was my first time using Tamara and I will use her again if she is available.”

“Kimberly did an excellent job with drop-in visits for our dog and cat. Our dog was anxious, shy, and a little uncooperative the first few visits, but Kimberly was patient and after a couple of visits, our dog was excited to see her. Even our cat, who usually runs and hides when someone comes over, was staying out and letting Kimberly pet her. We will definitely be reaching out to Kimberly for future drop-in visits. She gave us peace of mind that our critters were in good hands.”
“Thank you, Caitlin, for taking such good care of my cat! You communicate clearly and are very mindful about making sure he doesn’t eat anything he shouldn’t. You’re always punctual and even stay beyond the reserved visit time to ensure everything is okay. I’m also glad my cat got along so well with you and enjoyed playing together.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Spring
We went out of town for 2.5 weels, and left two cats amd multiple plants in Rachael's care. Whem we got home, it aas like we'd never been gone at all! 'm so grateful to have such a kind and competent sitter for times like these. Thank you so very much!, Rachael!! We'll be calling on you again for sure.
Awesome lady! Very attentive to my animals, she will treat them like her own. She is very consistent with her updates while you are away. At the end of our vacation, we realized we might be a little late getting back and had not booked her for the evening, I reached out and she was able to run over to let the dogs out to give us peace of mind while we were still 3 hours away. Thanks Tamara! you rock!!

Aubrey was absolutely wonderful with our entire fur family! It’s not easy finding someone who can handle both dogs and a cat so well, but she managed it effortlessly. Our dogs got plenty of love and attention, and even our cat felt completely comfortable. We loved the regular photo updates and came home to incredibly happy, relaxed pets. Aubrey is professional, reliable, and truly does a wonderful job.. We highly recommend her and will definitely book again! The Randall Family

Lowri is so accommodating to my precious fur babies. She was so communicative and appreciative of having the opportunity to watch my frenchies. She sent pictures and even tidied up around the house. I have used her multiple times now and there’s a reason that I keep requesting to have her back

It is such a relief finding someone to take care of my 3 babies while away! Dennis does an amazing job taking care of them and I don’t need to be constantly worried if they are in good hands. He is always getting the best pictures of them and communicates when there are any issues!

5 stars are not enough to rate Alexis. We have hired her several times to care for our dear bassett and she always goes above and beyond - she is knowledgeable, trustworthy and most importantly, she connects deeply with dogs. We come home to a happy dog, a vacuumed home, notes and even thoughtful touches. Goose loves her like family, and so do we.

We had a wonderful experience leaving our mischievous duo with Abigail. She sent regular updates and the sweetest photos throughout our trip, which made it so much easier to relax while we were away. We especially loved that she gave them plenty of time in the backyard to run around and play—they clearly got some great zoomies and extra attention, which they adored. Abigail was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We already have more trips planned and would book her again in a heartbeat for Mack and Siena. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, fun cat sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
