“Emma is absolutely fantastic! She is so warm and friendly, my two kitties fell in love with her right away! She is super communicative and I loved all the pictures she sent of our girls! I will definitely be rebooking with her, highly recommend Emma!”

“Vickie does an amazing job dropping in to visit our pup! She sends lots of updates and pictures, has come on the weekend at different times and even fed our dog dinner after she played with him. She is flexible and very quick to respond. We couldn’t ask for a better person to visit our pup at home when we work odd hours.”

About: I've had animals my entire life: dogs and cats both. I used to work at a pet store and learned a lot from my time there. I currently live in a house with two dogs (one small and one large) and a cat. I have ample experience with all breed types and dogs of all sizes, as well as animals with special needs. I work full time at a bookstore and can commit to dog walking in afternoons and mornings, as well as check ins! I am also open to pet sitting options in the future. I work at a bookstore close to full time (around 35 hours a week.) I am available in the mornings before I leave (before 8) as well as in the afternoons after 4! I do not work weekends, so I can commit to more long term hours and visits then. I do well to listen to all instructions given to me and never make any decisions before consulting with you. I kennel my own dog, and have him on a schedule that works best for him. I know that all animals are different and do my best to ensure your baby is well taken care of and isn't given any unnecessary stress.

“Gary took great care of our 2 cats while we were on vacation. He also sent photos and kept us updated. We were very happy with Gary! Highly recommend him because you can tell that he really enjoys taking care of cats.”

“Marissa took great care of our cat while we were out of town. She communicated well, she was kind and did exactly what was asked. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their animals. Thanks Marissa!!”

“Ollie was great with Luwi! She’s very attentive, flexible and makes sure things are good before she leaves after checking on Luwi. I would definitely re-book her again for future needs.”

“Terri was an amazing pet sitter! Her communication was excellent, she followed all instructions carefully, and she provided detailed, thoughtful feedback after each visit. I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. I would absolutely book Terri again.”

“Christine did an amazing job with my two labs. The times she came by were perfect and kept them from being in their crates too long. It was also very easy to book with her and she immediately set up a time to come by and meet the dogs and discuss what I needed. I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Rachael is absolutely incredible! We were gone for two weeks and not a day went by that we didn’t get updates and pictures of our weenie babies. The dogs absolutely ADORE her and so do we. Rachael is trustworthy, punctual, and thorough. I feel very lucky to have found her.”

“Mika was an angel! Any requests I had, she made them happen. She was a really big help with taking care of my fur babies while I was away for the holidays! Mika kept me updated every second of each visit and was always punctual. Would definitely book with her again!”

About: I currently have a 3.5 year old Shiba Inu myself, and if you know anything about these breeds they are very stubborn doggos. So I’m very familiar with patience and consistency. Raising her has given me the experience with feeding, walks, playtime, and basic grooming. In addition to her I house sit for friends that had a bully, dachshund, and chihuahua all in the same household. I have also had another friends dog stay over for a month a biggo 10 month Doberman puppy. So I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and will always make it a priority to help them feel safe and comfortable. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. I care for my 3-year-old Shiba Inu every day by making sure she's fed, has fresh water, gets plenty of attention, and stays on a consistent routine. Since I currently have a flexible schedule, I'm able to spend quality time with pets and adapt to their individual needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I'm committed to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in my own home or a client's home, I always focus on keeping them comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I make sure they have fresh food and water, provide plenty of attention and playtime, clean up after them, and monitor them to ensure they're happy and safe. I also follow any specific instructions from the owner, such as feeding schedules, medications, or other care preferences. I understand that every pet is different, and I do my best to give them the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own dog.
“Theda has been doing drop in visits for my dog for a couple of weeks. She is very dependable and my dog Jack seems well taken care of, and happy when I get home. I highly recommend Theda for your animals!”

“Chee was Amazing! My Baby has seizures and needs medication and she is so patient with him. She shows up on time and is great with communication. I’m very particular and she was so easy to work with. I will def book her again! Thank you Chee :)”
“Lena was AMAZING!!! Her patience with my rambunctious pittie who is the sweetest by the way? will most definitely test and test and test his boundaries, Lena was unbelievably so sweet to him. She will be my go to moving forward! Don’t think twice on booking her, she goes beyond for your fur babies! Her communication exceeds all expectations!!!! THANK YOU LENA!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Klein
We had a last minute week long trip come up but we were able to book Terri last minute. One of our pets is a senior dog who needed special attention due to her limited mobility but Terri took great care of her and also our kitties. We felt bad because there were a few poop accidents in the house during the week but Terri took care of everything professionally. She even brought our mail in and of course kept us posted with notes and pictures. We appreciated her help very much.

Sawyer was amazing with my very fearful and skittish 3 year old Chihuahua. As soon as he walked in the door my Chihuahua barked once and then proceeded to lick Sawyer like he has been her friend. There have been only a handful of people that my Chihuahua has responded to in that way and it always warms my heart when it happens. I truly believe animals can sense the intentions of a person and when Nezuko immediately takes to someone I know they are a good person. Nezuko also never eats her meals with strangers and she ate all of her food the first time Sawyer fed her. It's one thing when someone is good with your well behaved dogs, it's something entirely different when you have a poorly behaved or fearful dog that responds so well to a stranger. I also have an elderly dog on heart meds and Sawyer wasn't deterred by administering meds or even the possibility of my dog passing out from strain on her heart. Thank you Sawyer for just being a good person my dogs clearly trust. If I could give him 100 stars I absolutely would.

We are very happy to have Tania to take care of king Leo and he likes to have her too. Tania is super knowledgeable on pet care specially with any sickness faced by your pet. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
