“Marissa is amazing! I had a medical emergency and she came through and helped me out while in the hospital. It is apparent that she loves animals and cares! 100% recommend!”

“Virginia has been consistently outstanding. She is incredibly reliable and dependable, always following through on what needs to be done. Her organization and attention to detail make everything run smoothly, and her knowledge shows in the way she handles every situation with confidence and professionalism. On top of that, she is genuinely friendly, caring, and kind, which makes working with her an absolute pleasure. Virginia goes above and beyond, and it’s clear that she truly cares about the people she helps. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, capable, and compassionate.”

“What a relief to have Jamey to watch over our little ones while we were away, especially with the daily shots needed. Was very helpful guiding us on our first booking and daily updates. Thank you!”

“Savannah has been wonderful! I have 2 larger dogs and they both adored her right away, even the shyer one who usually takes a day or two to warm up to folks. She’s quick to respond, communicative during drop-ins, and my dogs always look so happy in the photos. My senior pup can be stubborn and she has never had any issues with him, which helps so much with peace of mind when I can’t be home. Highly, highly recommend!”
“Eddie is a wonderful dog sitter and made me feel so comfortable about leaving my baby behind. She always updated me with pictures and summary’s about the visits. Would definitely recommend and use her services again in the future!!”

“Jazmine was amazing. One of my cats needs medication twice a day, and Jazmine not only had no problem with the fact that this would have to be done, but she had no issues administering it! I will book her over and over, for as long as she's willing!”
“Cheronai did a great job taking care of my three cats while I was away for three days. She was reliable, caring, and made me feel comfortable knowing they were in good hands. I’d definitely recommend her and would happily book her again!”

“Nobody cares as much as Coni does, I promise you that. She loves your fur babies like your own! She is professional, conscientious and very trustworthy. You and your babies will not be disappointed!”

About: I offer a very gentle and caring hand and heart for your pets. Ive always loved caring for animals and have experience with different kind of pets, personalities, and needs. I especially enjoy working with higher-energy or anxious pets, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Im patient, attentive, and make sure every pet gets the attention and care they need and more! I am also physically fit and can provide exercise like running for high-energy dogs. I am a full time college student and get out every day by 2pm so I am available starting at 3 PM until the rest of the day. In my own home I care for my pets with care and love while keeping and maintaining boundaries that I have for my home. I keep the area clean and my pets clean as well to care for the home and the pets and keep everything orderly.
About: I am a first born daughter that learned to take care of siblings and dogs at very young age! Care giving comes natural to me. I work a full time job M-F from 7am-4pm but am very available after to walk and care for your pups! Weekends are best any time of day with a heads up! I am available to care at my family home, I have a two story house with a backyard plenty of room available for them to play!
About: I have been around dogs my entire life and plan to always be. I currently have two dogs, Doc, an English Springer Spaniel, and Jax, a German Shepherd pup. We rescued Jax when he was about 8 months old and he has been with us ever since. Doc has been around many dogs and is great with all of them. Because of his breed, Doc has had some health issues from a young age, including ear infections and pretty severe allergies. I am used to administering meds and other necessary requirements for your pup. I know people's pets are their family. With that being said, I will treat your dog like it is my own. I am a first grade teacher so during the week I’m usually at work from 7-3:00pm. I’m usually free on the weekends and love spending time with dogs throughout the day. If it’s during the summer, my schedule is much more open during the week. I am willing to take your dog on walks or allow them to be active in the backyard, if available. Whatever specifics you’d like, just let me know. 🙂
About: My last dog was a Corgi/Austrialian Shepard mix. I got her when she was 3 months old as a rescue and we lived together for 16 years. She enjoyed a healthy, happy life. Her last year was a little difficult on her due to age. I was happy to work with her on her diet, medication and exercise. She was the best! Over the years, I have been blessed with several cats in my life. All from kitten age to senior age. Male and Female. I had three at one time and they all got along beautifully with each other. Each was a joy with their own separate personality. Currently, I am blessed with two male ginger cats who are now a little over a year old. I got them when they were 2 months old. I got two because they are brothers and I did not want to split them up. They bring joy to my world each day. I am Retired and have all day and night to devote to your pets. In my home or in yours. Which ever is best for you. I have a large fenced-in back yard perfect for any puppy/dog to explore or play in. My home is pet-friendly. I have been a pet owner for many, many years and have enjoyed each and every one.
“My kitties just had another awesome time being cared for by Naiyla! I was gone for about 4 days, and came home to some very happy kitties! House was super well kept too. Shes the best!!”

“I’m so thankful for Amy and Oliver. As someone who travels frequently for work, it’s very comforting to know I have people I can trust with my fur babies. They are great!”

“Taylor did a great job taking care of our senior cat, Stewie, while we were on vacation. She paid close attention to care instructions and gave good updates on his litter box usage and eating habits while he was in her care. Stewie seemed very at ease in her presence and happy to see her every morning during her visits. Thank you, Taylor!”

“Kaitlyn was a lifeeee saver after a previous bad experience I had on Rover and almost gave up 😭 thank god!! Kaitlyn is so communicative and proactive, sent me plenty of pictures of my kitties and ask very good/caring questions to make sure she was caring for them well. I would rate her 12/10”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Louetta
Terri is an exceptional pet sitter. She is prompt, friendly and experienced with dogs of all ages and understanding of our unique situations. While we were on our vacation, we were reassured that our pets were in good hands and when we returned, it was evident that they were well cared for.

Savannah is the best! We were recently gone for a week on our honeymoon and had no worries leaving our pets in her care. She was incredibly communicative and flexible in dealing with our 3 pets and their daily routines. Would definitely recommend, especially if you are anxious about being gone a while

Our pups were left in great hands with Lana while we were away. She provided plenty of pictures and updates, which gave us great peace of mind knowing they were happy and well cared for. Our dogs received all the love, attention, and care they needed, and we truly appreciate the time and effort Lana put into making them feel comfortable. We would definitely recommend her and would happily have her watch our pups again!

Kiera is a sweet, soft spoken young woman who has a really calming energy! My kitten is still nervous around new people but went right up to her immediately and was cuddling with her by the end of her drop in. She loves animals and that definitely comes through in her treatment and care of them. She will treat your baby like her own. I would 10/10 work with her again and I cannot recommend her enough.

I fully recommend Alyssa. She has taken care of our cats twice, separate times. Our two cats love her. We have one mean cat, and she remembered Alyssa. This factor is important. Alyssa was very patient and caring, she has cat magic ✨️. Our other friendly cat enjoyed her company. I was worried leaving my cats but I was rest assured they were with someone trustworthy and patient.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
