“Kaniona made my puppy feel at home by the looks of her daily updates via videos and photos. Kaniona was also respectful, and great with communication within the same 24 hours. If there was any accommodations or issue to address, she understood well. Absolutely would call on her for sitting or drop in again. Thank you for taking care of my Missy.”

“Peppa seemed to do good with Heydi! I was nervous to leave her with a sitter for the first time ever since she’s an anxious puppy but Heydi was great at responding when I asked for an update and even told me in detail how her day went once I picked her up. I would definitely use her again!”

About: Find the perfect pet sitter or walker on Rover! Sign up with my link and get $20 off your first booking: https://www.rover.com/ambas-refer-a-friend/Nq14ZR0N I have worked as a veterinary technician for over 13 years and I have almost always had pets of my own. After taking a while off to be a mom I have really missed being around pets. I am excited to help with your pets care whenever you are unable to. My love for animals extends far beyond the basics. I have completed my bachelors degree in criminal justice as I prepared to become an animal cruelty investigator with the ASPCA it’s a work in progress but in the mean time It is my mission to ensure the safety and well-being of animals all over; in a domestic and farm animals. There isn’t a thing I wouldn’t do to ensure the safety and proper care of your little fur babies. Even the ones without fur have my heart! They will have my full time and affection when they are with me. No pet is outside my hearts love and I’ll love them like my own. My yard is fenced in and I have a run with a dog house as well as crates for inside in this Texas heat. However they live at home they can live here the same way while you’re gone. I just ask that they be current on flea/tick prevention to protect all my fur babies as well as the environment.(please provide receipt/invoice of purchase)
“Bea was easy to schedule with and communicated frequently. She was great and Warby loved her and her family. I am so happy to have found Bea to care for our precious pet. Warby did not want to leave. Thank you so much.”

“Zulma is amazing. She always sends updates and pictures of Rocco while he is at her house during day care and that was so reassuring because I am extremely cautions about him! Book her, you won’t regret! 🫶🏻”

“Emeshako makes our dog feel like he is at home. He had no interest in leaving when I pick him up. He is loved and well cared for. Emeshako goes above and beyond what previous dog sitters have done my older dog. Thank you Emeshako!”

About: My last dog was a Corgi/Austrialian Shepard mix. I got her when she was 3 months old as a rescue and we lived together for 16 years. She enjoyed a healthy, happy life. Her last year was a little difficult on her due to age. I was happy to work with her on her diet, medication and exercise. She was the best! Over the years, I have been blessed with several cats in my life. All from kitten age to senior age. Male and Female. I had three at one time and they all got along beautifully with each other. Each was a joy with their own separate personality. Currently, I am blessed with two male ginger cats who are now a little over a year old. I got them when they were 2 months old. I got two because they are brothers and I did not want to split them up. They bring joy to my world each day. I am Retired and have all day and night to devote to your pets. In my home or in yours. Which ever is best for you. I have a large fenced-in back yard perfect for any puppy/dog to explore or play in. My home is pet-friendly. I have been a pet owner for many, many years and have enjoyed each and every one.

“Lindsey did a great job pet sitting. She is very responsive & responsible. She made me feel comfortable with leaving my fur babies in her care & I loved my picture updates throughout the day. Oliver & Kai Bear seemed to enjoy spending time with her & her fur pups. Definitely would recommend & continue to use her!”

About: I have taken care of animals as long as I can remember! With fostering I have been around and taking care of different breeds of dogs, sizes of dogs and dogs with certain needs that needed to be addressed. I have worked with fostering dogs for about a year now with an organization stationed out of Pennsylvania. Every dog I have rescued has been from a kill shelter with various medical needs, mental needs, and emotional needs. I am comfortable around all dogs/cats and I am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal! I would love to get to know your dog and continue to give them the best care while you’re away! I have one puppy of my own that I rescued. Her name is Rayne. She is a small dog her back does not even reach the bottom of my knee. She’s a very loving and playful. She does a great with meeting new dogs. She has been around every single dog. I have saved and fostered. I have a fenced yard and a small dog myself who loves to meet and play with dogs. I do have experience with taking care of different breeds of dogs. I can also create your dog if that’s what you would prefer. If not, my dog is super friendly and loves meeting new dogs.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
