“Lacinda had watched our boys several times and is our go to sitter both for day care and out of town trips. She is a great communicator and always puts our dogs welfare above all else. The boys love her and her family!”

About: What sets me apart is the calm, patient, and attentive care I give every pet. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision, so I focus on reliability, clear communication, and following your pet’s routine exactly as you prefer. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs, including shy or anxious pets who need time to warm up, high-energy dogs who need movement and play, and senior pets who benefit from gentle, slower-paced care. I’m also comfortable following detailed care routines and instructions to help keep your pet healthy and comfortable. During visits I provide: • Safe walks tailored to your dog’s energy level • Feeding, fresh water, and potty breaks • Playtime and enrichment to prevent boredom • Senior pet support and patience with mobility needs • Lots of affection and companionship • Detailed updates with photos after every visit I’m very respectful of your home, punctual, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, which allows me to offer flexible availability throughout the week. Because I’m not currently working outside the home, I’m able to accept morning, midday, evening, and weekend bookings. I can often accommodate same-day requests with a little notice, and I keep my schedule intentionally open so I can give each pet plenty of time, attention, and unhurried care during visits and walks. For drop-in visits and walks, safety and routine are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, care routines, leash preferences, and any household rules. I double-check doors, gates, and locks, and I always ensure pets are secure before leaving your home. I move at your pet’s comfort level and pay close attention to behavior, energy, and safety during walks. I avoid unsafe weather conditions, hot pavement, and crowded areas when needed. While I don’t offer boarding, I do have two friendly senior dogs (a poodle, 16yo, and a yorkie, 9yo), which has given me valuable experience with gentle handling, slower walks, and senior pet care. My goal is always to help your pet feel calm, safe, and cared for while you’re away.
“Katherine was absolutely great in every aspect. She sent updates throughout the day with pictures, took our boy to play outside multiple times, and was willing to work with us on our weird schedule. We will definitely continue to use Katherine in the future!”

“Wendy took such great care of Keeper! She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Keeper was well cared for and happy during his stay. Thank you so much for treating him like family. We will definitely be booking with you again in the future! 🐾”

I have a fenced yard and an air-conditioned garage, so the dogs have plenty of space.I always make sure the dog feels comfortable and can run freely around the house.
“My dog thinks going to see Lori is like going on vacation. She loves the energy of the household and visiting with other dogs. I feel such gratitude that my dog is so well taken care of...she literally bolts out of the car to see Lori!”

“Selma watched our puppy, Charli, for both puppy day care and boarding. She is fantastic! Charli was always excited to go to Selma's! Selma is very flexible, and allowed us to drop Charli off early since we go to work very early. During Charli's stay with Selma she always kept us informed of how she was doing and sent us pictures and videos everyday. I could tell, right off the bat, that she truly loves dogs and it showed in her care of Charli. Thanks, Selma! We will definitely bring Charli back the next time!”

“Jordan was excellent with my puppy for doggy daycare today. She sent updates throughout the day. He must’ve had a great time because he fell asleep in the car on the way home. She was very friendly. There were no issues or concerns. We would rebook her in the future.”

About: I have always had a special place in my heart for dogs! I was a pet sitter for 10+ years, but recently took a short break after moving to a different part of the great state of Texas! I’ve also been a foster and greatly enjoyed and will hopefully get back into that soon as well. Now that we are settled, we are ready to welcome your sweet pet into our home and will love and care for them as if they were our very own! We are a no cat household, so sorry!! I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from puppy to seniors! Our dog pretty much has free rein in the house, however, if you have rules that need to be followed, I will be sure to keep their routine for you! We hope to welcome your sweet pet into our home soon so we can love on them for you while you enjoy your travels, and I will be sure to send you LOTS of pictures! Working from home allows me to be present for your pet for most of the day. Most days I am home 24/7. There may be times that I will run an errand or two, but I will never be away for more than 2 hours. I also have cameras in the house that I use to check on them if I am away, even for a short period of time. Your pets' well being is my priority during their entire stay. With a fenced yard, your dog will be able to enjoy outdoor time as often as they like. My dog, Lukka, loves to play and have fun with other dogs. He’s been around puppies and giant dogs alike. He’s a gentle boy and will let your dog be as playful with him as they like. Our main living areas are carpet free, so if there are any accidents, it’s very easy to clean up! As previously mentioned, your pets are welcome to be as free as they like in our home. We have dog beds in just about every room in our home, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Please let me know your pets daily routine, dietary preferences, any medical conditions or medications, their temperament around other animals, and any specific training commands they respond to. Your pet will be treated as our very own. Unless you have specific rules, they will be allowed on our furniture and beds. We will, however, stick to your pets schedule and rules as requested.

“Heather was amazing! She was so quick to get back to me when I frantically needed a last minute sitter. She took such good care of our dog Cedric, sent a wonderful report card with photos and details about his stay and was so easy to work with. I will definitely be using her again! Thank you Heather!”

About: We have many years of experience taking care of fur babies, including those with special needs! We will walk, feed, and care of them as if they were part of our family. As I am retired and my oldest child has completed high school, there is ALWAYS someone here to take care of your furriest family members that stay with us. My daughter is interested in veterinary medicine, and is starting classes for that soon, so you'll have the best care we can provide! We live in a nice family neighborhood, with one dog of our own. She keeps to herself usually, but can be very friendly when engaged. There is a dog park nearby that we can take your fur baby to for exercise and fun.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
