“Annette was an absolute lifesaver, and we feel so fortunate to have found her! She cared for our dog, Milo, for almost two weeks, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable and caring hands. She followed his feeding schedule perfectly and clearly took his routine and well-being seriously. We especially appreciated the thoughtful, consistent updates while we were away. Twice a day, Annette sent wonderful photos and videos of Milo, giving us peace of mind and letting us relax knowing he was happy and well cared for. Annette is reliable, trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely loving toward animals. We’re so grateful for the care she gave Milo and wholeheartedly recommend booking her. We would absolutely book with her again!”

“Susan and Dale are absolutely amazing! They are such a wonderful and lovely couple who take exceptional care of our two goldens (New Year's Eve fireworks and all!). Our pups love going to their home and receive plenty of snuggles, pets, walks, and fetch sessions. We are always confident Susan and Dale are caring for our babies as their own - truly a blessing to have them and cannot recommend them enough!”

“Svetlana took excellent care of Dexter during his two-week stay. Communication was great from start to finish, and she consistently sent detailed updates, photos, and videos every day, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while traveling. It was clear Dexter was very comfortable and happy in her care. She paid close attention to his routines, walks, eating habits, and even adapted really well to communicating with him using hand signals since he is deaf. We especially appreciated how observant and thoughtful she was about his comfort, behavior, and exercise. Dexter clearly bonded with her family and PomPom, and it genuinely felt like he was staying in a caring home environment rather than just being boarded. We would absolutely book with Svetlana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring dog sitter.”

“Myriam was great. She was very easy to communicate with and sent updates about our pup while we were gone. I could tell our dog had a great time! She even gifted our dog with a new toy when I picked her up which was so sweet. We would definitely book with Myriam again!”

“Julia was and is an absolute gem of a dog watcher constant updates good environment for a dog plenty of backyard and space and as much love as a dog can get. Definitely will continue to use her absolute amazing situation.”

“I refuse to keep my pup anywhere other than with Selma! She is always so accommodating and flexible with my sometimes unpredictable work schedule. With picture updates and videos it’s easy to see my bud is having a ball!! Exceptional!”
“Jada was an amazing dog sitter! She was incredibly sweet, accommodating, and very communicative throughout the entire stay. She made sure to ask questions whenever needed and kept me updated, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. I also had some unexpected flight issues on the day of pickup, and Jada was very understanding and flexible. She stayed in communication with me and we were able to work out a solution together, which I truly appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Jada to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter, and I would definitely book with her again in the future!”

“Katherine was amazing!! So accommodating and loving to my little pug and welcomed her in her home as one of her own!! It was comforting to know that my dog was loved and cared for while I was away on vacation and I didn’t ever have to worry! She even sent me photos and videos frequently to let me know how Abby was doing! She administered meds and catered to my dog’s every need! I highly recommend Katherine if you ever need a dog sitter! She is wonderful!!”
“Always a wonderful stay for our Zoey at Deb’s! She’s happy when we drop her off and exhausted from playing when we pick her up! Deb is so great to send little updates and photos while we are away too!”

“Christina‘s passion for dogs is evident when you first meet her. Her house is set up to accommodate the dogs. She has a kitty pool for them to play in their backyard. She takes them on walks twice a day and is very loving towards the dogs. She effectively communicated the entire time we were out of town sending pictures and updates. I would very much consider using her again.”

“Kimberly was awesome! She took Kai on lots of walks, shared so many photos and videos and took such good care of our baby. Kai was very comfortable in her place. You can tell she is a big dog lover. Thanks again Kimberly! Till next time! :)”

“Jamey was great! She kept constant communication and sent pictures daily to let me know how my dog was doing. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking. We will be booking with her again next time we go out of town.”

“I boarded my dog with Heather 2 years ago, so this is a VERY late review (sorry!). Heather took really great care of my dog, Pizza, for a long weekend in May 2018. He looked like he was having a lot of fun and was in a great mood when I picked him up. I would definitely book with her again.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up around large, high-energy breeds. Today I have two of my own, a German Shorthaired Pointer and a Hungarian Vizsla, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs that need plenty of exercise, attention, and structure. My home has a secure fenced yard where dogs can safely play and relax. If your dog enjoys being active and gets along well with others, they’re welcome to join us on our daily walks and trips to the park. If they prefer a slower pace, I’m just as happy to match their routine. Every dog is different, and I try to make them feel as comfortable as possible while they’re with me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so I’ll care for them the same way I care for my own. I’ll follow your routine, give them plenty of attention, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they’re doing. I work from home most days, and those are the days I’m available for boarding. Because I’m home throughout the day, your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of attention, bathroom breaks, and playtime. If they’re up for it, they’ll join my two dogs on walks and park visits. I’ll also follow your dog’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and happiness will always come first. I have a secure, fully fenced yard and a clean, dog-friendly home where pets are treated like family. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy meeting new friends, but I’m also happy to keep dogs separated if that’s what makes everyone most comfortable. I’ll follow your feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any special requests to make sure your dog feels right at home. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and having a great time.
“We are very thankful to find a great animal family to take care of our girl Maze. She was so happy and comfortable here and that made us happy and at ease while we were away.”

“Geraldine and Miriam took wonderful care of our little dog, we so appreciate their care, and are relieved to have someone on deck with whom we feel super comfortable to leave her in the future. ❤️”

“Amanda is such a sweet host. She is flexible and responsive from the moment you reach out to her, willing to schedule a meet and greet in advance and understanding and accommodating throughout the booking. She will truly bring your dog into her family during the time they are with her. We are so grateful for her communication throughout this time period as it was the longest we’ve had to board our dog.”

Tiffany, James, and their girls have been absolutely wonderful with Zoe. There is nothing more reassuring than knowing your dog is with a family who genuinely loves having her around and treats her as one of their own. Zoe has always been so well cared for, and we have never had a moment of worry when she has been in their care. Their kindness and the way they welcome her into their home have meant so much to us. Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Hufsmith can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hufsmith.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
